I hardly ever leave reviews unless I only have great things to say and after just getting the hybrid treatment done with Jason and finishing my first post-treatment wash, I can honestly recommend this treatment to anyone who is hesitating. I've gotten Japanese straightening and keratin treatment done multiple times at other salons in the past, with the last Japanese straightening 6 years ago melting a chunk of my hair off and traumatizing me. Ever since, I thought something was wrong with my hair that couldn't take the process but Jason's system is completely different where you get the straightness of Japanese straightening but without the damage, and with the softness and manageability of a keratin treatment. I took my 2.5-year-old son to Jason for a haircut before an upcoming wedding, and I honestly couldn't have been more impressed, both with the experience and the result. Haircuts are usually a struggle for my son. He tends to cry the entire time. Most stylists have a hard time handling it and rush to a disappointing result. Jason handled it incredibly well. He immediately put my son at ease, had a laptop set up for distraction, and was calm, efficient and very gentle throughout. What really stood out was the quality of the haircut itself. Jason spent a solid 30 to 40 minutes doing detailed, scissor-only work, carefully layering and shaping my son's long, unruly hair. It's rare to see that level of attention to detail, especially with a toddler who isn't always easy to work with. Beyond the technical skill, Jason clearly cares about getting the result right. Jason provides the best service around. This is my second time coming to Jason for my hair care needs. Both times my experience has been exceptional! Jason goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying yourself during the experience. He provides drinks, snacks and entertainment while you are in his chair. On top of that, he also includes little head, neck and shoulder massages through the process. It's so relaxing and comfortable. You are treated like a Queen/ King. He went out of his way to get me a snack and offered me a milk box drink with a water bottle too for when I got thirsty. He even brought me lunch! He really makes sure your needs are fulfilled. For entertainment, he brought a laptop with earbuds and let me watch movies the whole time. It was great lol I watched a couple Korean movies and they weren't bad! I liked the zombie Korean movie a lot actually haha My hair process took about 5 hours or so. I was there for a while, but he made it fly by! He asked if I needed to use the restroom a couple times too, to make sure I had opportunities to go. I love the treatment my hair got too! Believe the hyper! Jason is the nicest stylist I've ever met. He's also talented and knowledgeable about all things hair. Found him here on Yelp and I'm on my third appointment with him now - every visit he gives me a warm hug and the tastiest Korean snacks! It's not a fancy five star salon, Jason rents a chair along with two (I think) other stylists. It's kind of old and basic. It's been a long time since I've had a haircut in a salon. This was a great way to get back into it. Setting up the appointment was a breeze through text. I received a request for pics of my current look and my inspo. Upon arrival, I was greeted very warmly and then taken to the back for my shampoo. They were very gentle with the lathering - I appreciated the care they took. Afterwards, I was brought back to the front where I confirmed the look I wanted (long pixie with undercut) and Jason said ok. The place was soothing with some k-tunes playing and minimal other noise, so not overwhelming on the senses. During the cut, he paid a lot of attention to the little details and took the time to get it right.
