I was so excited to find a salon that offered Saturday morning haircuts as early as 8am. I booked my visit with Randi and from the get go, she was so kind, patient, and listened intently to what kind of cut I was wanting. Tip - Sundays and Mondays are by appointment only. They require a deposit to book an appointment. For a $65 wash, cut and blow dry that equals $9.75 that is invoiced in advance. It was easy to make an appointment by messaging the salon via Yelp. They were quick to respond. Since I went on a Monday, I was the only one there. Alice was nice and efficient as it took about 40 minutes total. Parking is limited as the lot is very small and shared with another business. I met with Alice and told her my hopes for the type of haircut I was looking for and in a matter of 45 minutes she succeeded!!! I asked for length, face framing and bangs and got everything I wanted! I've always done my hair at Ulta, but after my appointment was cancelled last minute, I decided to give Trendy Salons & Spa a try -- and I'm so glad I did! I found them through Yelp, submitted a service request, and they got back to me right away. They asked for a picture of my hair, its length, and what I had in mind. I sent everything over and received an estimate quickly. My only request was to darken the color, and they set me up for an early Saturday morning appointment with Nikki. From the moment I walked in, Nikki greeted me with a big smile and such a friendly attitude. She offered me water or coffee -- I went with coffee, and it was delicious! My goal was a simple trim and a darker tone, but I also told her I trusted her to do what she thought was best. I loved how she kept me in the loop every step of the way, explaining what she was doing and making sure I was comfortable with each decision. At one point, she applied a toner for about 20 minutes -- I'll admit, I was nervous because I thought my hair might turn jet black -- but wow, was I wrong. She absolutely nailed it! She deepened and evened out the color perfectly, blending it beautifully with my natural black hair. It looks so rich and healthy now. Later that same day, Thuraya followed up to ask how my appointment went and if I loved my hair -- which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. Between the friendly staff, amazing service, relaxing playlist, and the little things like hot coffee while you get pampered, this salon truly stands out. My stylist was extremely kind but the job was not done as requested. I couldn't tell how off my color was in the salon but in natural and home lighting, I was so disappointed. I went in for a cherry cola color with a skunk strand (no particular shade) and got a lightly tinted red. If a job was not doable, I should've been told before the process. I was not against bleach but was told it wasn't needed to achieve the color. I've never had my hair done professionally so I didn't know what could or could not be done. I let the professional do what was best on the process of trying to achieve this color. The first picture is what I requested, the other photos were what was done to my hair. I was booked with Karla, who had great reviews for lash lifts. I came in and was seen by Paolina? Okay, fine no biggie. Until she spent over two hours raking my lashes back, holding the silicone to my eye painfully, and getting the perm solution genuinely all over my face. I don't think she knew what she was doing.. I paid and left quickly because I didn't want to continue the pain in my eyes. I went home and had to have a doctor remove the solution off my eyes as she didn't even finish the perm properly. My eyes are swollen, dry, and my lash line is in a lot of pain. I've had multiple lifts in the past, this wasn't done properly from start to finish. Please make sure she gets training before allowing her to take clients again. I spent 76$ services and 12$ on the deposit, and I feel really robbed because of it. My lashes didn't lift at all, instead I got tortured for two hours. The ER said I could have done intense damage if I didn't come in to have my eyes washed and the chemicals removed. I'm not venting or exaggerating; I am telling the truth about my experience so others can be aware. I went in for a simple haircut with curtain bangs, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've had. The stylist, a young Asian woman, was very sweet in personality, but the haircut itself was a disaster. She completely messed up my curtain bangs, then blamed my hair, saying it was "ridiculously curly" and "stubborn." My hair is not curly. It's fine, I have a lot of it, and when it air dries it can look a bit frizzy because of the volume, but this is a very common hair type. I do not have massive curls, and I've never had a stylist struggle with my hair before. I've had curtain bangs many times and never had an issue. It had been six months since my last cut, so my bangs had grown out, but instead of acknowledging that, she made multiple mistakes and even nearly burned the front of my hair while trying to style it to hide the flaws. I had to ask her to stop because the heat was too much. Mind you, I did not call the owner to ask for a refund. I didn't want a refund because she had already put so much time into my hair, over two hours of cutting and blow drying. I paid exactly what the owner had originally quoted me. She was asking for more, but I didn't respond to that because I was already upset with the result. If she had done a great job, I would have gladly paid more. I called the owner only to let them know what kind of people they are hiring and what kind of experience customers are getting. When I left the salon, the back looked okay because she had styled it that way. But the next morning, after washing my hair, I saw the truth, there are two very obvious "steps" in the cut, with the top layer much shorter than the bottom. It looks so bad that I feel embarrassed to go outside with my hair open or without heavily styling it. The stylist even commented that the salon was empty because "people working here weren't capable enough to do haircuts," which didn't inspire confidence. If she truly felt my hair was too challenging, she should have been honest upfront and declined instead of doing a bad cut. I sent a video of the issue to the owner but received no reply. That's why I'm leaving this review, to warn others. If the salon can't handle certain hair types or styles, they should say so before picking up the scissors. Unfortunately, this experience left me very disappointed and extremely unhappy with my hair. read more

I know it's already been going on 2 weeks ever since I got my hair dyed (full length) on 26th and the color still bleeding out and leaves stains on towels and sheet everywhere including my clothes. Worst part, I've started spotting the white root coming out with 3/8" of my hair and I need to find ANOTHER salon to get hair dyed again. Trust me, this is not my first time to get hair dyed at a salon. I know the process and my hair back then, was after-bleach. This time my hair usually get box-dyed, no bleach, no perm, nothing have been done other than fore-hair perm 6 months ago or so. She was kind but the budget she said by looking my hair and the chart she got, my price is not even in the tier of ANYWHERE she indicated about the extra by the portion she added for my hair. They started the full length dye from $99 and I ended up getting charged $184-almost twice more. Sorry about the vibes and your years of experience but this makes no sense anymore. read more
