This is specifically for the Jason's Deli in the Arboretum. Yesterday, I ordered a large luncheon group order from Jason's Deli through DoorDash. I called Jason's Deli an hour prior to delivery to ensure the order had been received from DoorDash. The order had not been dispersed to Jason's by DoorDash but the staff (perhaps the manager or hostess) at Jason's stepped up, filled the large order and delivered it directly with the hour (for no additional charge). Matt, the person who delivered from Jason's, did not just hand me the order, but set the lunch up while we finished our meeting. I was blown away by the kind service that I received from the staff at Jason's Deli Arboretum. We depend on their food always being fresh as tasty but to have such amazing service is worth me taking the time to say thank you and well done! read more

I just wish there were more consistency with the ordering and delivery process. Sometimes you get a card, sometimes not, sometimes it's a bowl, sometimes a cup, and today, I was asked if I wanted a large or small salad bowl. And the portion sizes, forget it. You never really feel as if you have your order or someone else's. And, isn't it customary to put beef in beef stew. Just saying. read more

I have been a fan of Jason's Reuben sandwich. They give you a 1/2 pound of meat! I like to order it with "extra swiss" and "extra thousand island dressing on the side". Their Reuben is probably my favorite in town. read more

I used to eat at a Jason's deli years ago different state even. I've been meaning to come here since I landed in Texas last year. Still loving their bake potatoes. First let me say, Jason's Deli gets 5 stars immediately for having gingerbread mini muffins on their salad bar. The recipe taste exactly like my grandmothers. So nothing can decrease my rating. (Smile) I got the lobster soup. It was good. Went especially well with the mini cornbread muffins. It was warm. I would have preferred it hot, so I could blow it cool myself. Wow. I mean this was bad. The lady working the register was very rude and curt to everyone. I don't know her name but she has long purple hair so she shouldn't be hard to identify. She did not smile one time. She did not greet anybody. I even gave her a compliment on her clothes trying to make small talk, and she didn't even look at me. It was obvious we were all inconveniencing her just by being there. She was way more interested in her cell phone than the guests. On top of that, one of the dining room guests had to kill a cockroach on a neighboring table by hitting it with a tray. Yes, one of the trays you would carry your food on. I don't fault her though because what other choice did she have? An employee came over and smashed it again with the same tray. I've worked at a restaurant with a bug problem and by the time they are in the dining room crawling on tables there's a serious infestation. I had already paid for my food and figured the rude woman would be nasty about giving my money back so I took the food and left. I should have gotten the refund. The fruit was mushy and tasted like the freezer. Everybody knows what it's like to eat something that tastes like the other food it's stored with. Just bad. Whenever I'm looking for a quick and delicious sandwich, this is my go to spot. I always order ahead of time and I love how it doesn't take much time for them to make the food. I also like how user friendly their website is. My favorite sandwich here is the Club Royale the managers special. That will come with a half of sandwich, you pick the chips. I always get kettle chips and their pickle. Plus a side of either soup, salad, fruit cup, or mac and cheese. It always fills me up and they never skimp on the meat on the sandwich! read more

I think I have been going to this location about once a month or more for 6 years. It is a great standby. That place where you ask people on the way to lunch, what do you want to eat? When no one has an Idea I always try to suggest Jason's. There will almost always be something you want here. Its not just sandwiches and a salad bar. There are baked potatoes, pasta, tacos and of course the free soft serve after your meal. My favorites here are 1. Ruben Sandwich.. Its one of the best in town since the other deli I liked closed down. 2. Ham and Swiss on Rye, mmmmmm so melty and good. 3. The salad bar is one of the best remaining salad bars in town. You can make a giant plate of salad and surround it with a wall of potato salad and fill that around with a moat of peas if you so wanted. ( Not that I ever play with my food like that) The build your own options are good too. Just tell them what you want and they will make it if they can. They have a hot horseradish sauce that is spicy, and I eat strait horse radish, and this is HOT. They used to serve DECAF iced tea, and that was the cherry on top, but they stopped. so I would knock them about 0.1 stars for that. Love the food here. I always get a salad bar. Always fresh ingredients and super friendly staff. The salad bar always has a great selection of veggies and sides. The mini muffins are amazing ( especially the spice muffins - gotta dip those in the chocolate mousse). The cornbread muffins are delicious. The soups are also awesome. Recently my soup of choice is their broccoli cheese soup. Rich and creamy. It's not prevalent on their menu anymore, but I highly suggest the bird to the wise. A decent place to have a quick meal. Quality varies based on location. The bowl of French onion soup looks more like a cup. This location is clean & staff was friendly. This has always been a family favorite of ours esp their Beefeater! It has gotten smaller but still pretty good. However this time around I had their salad bar so I have to say again how much I love their fresh bar and selections! I ate too many artichokes and gave my stomach an ulcer attack but totally my fault! The fresh eggs, salad variations, dressing, cheeses, breads, etc is all there for you and you can always end w/free ice cream! Food was good, a little pricey. One of the employees hit on my girlfriend in front of me.

When you walk in there is a large board advertising lobster chowder. When I paid and went through the man then said there is not enough chowder. I said that's what I specifically came down he really could have cared less. No apology or nothing and when I told him they should remove the board he didn't respond. I will not be back. Majority already had their meals served to them. My patients ran out 30minutes later when my sandwich was still not brought to me. Lady who had been in front of me was already done with her meal by the time 30 minutes past. 15 of customers who had been in there were gone by the time I brought this to their attention, and a few new people took their place. This restaurant is a mess. Poorly managed employees. What ever you do do NOT order the salmon salad bar. Salmon came out with fake grill marks, even though it was steamed. Tasted like rubber. Only issue is ordering on line. It would be helpful if user was able to login once and complete order. I do a lot of online ordering for our office and the orders change frequently so I have to toggle back and forth for my selections. It's more than annoying that once I submit the order the system forces me to login once again and input address, delivery time etc all over again. There's got to be a better way! Dear Management, Every time I call in an order or pick up an order, your staff mentions that the computers are either going VERY slow or they freeze. This has happens 90% of the time. Might be time to upgrade? Also, the staff who makes the sandwiches are inconsistent on customizations. Some times you will get your customizations, but some times you wont. read more

What a shame that the customer service at this Jason's has gotten so poor...from management at that. We have eaten here for years and spent a lot of money here. Tonight we walk in and there's no line...a good thing, but also 4 of 5 booths where you walk in were dirty. I asked if they could clean a booth for us. Manager said she'd get to it in a minute. As we walked up to order I was telling another employee which booth my daughter was waiting at so they would know she hadn't eaten already at the dirty table. One star because I became ill after the last time I ate there. I did have the salad bar. What struck me afterwards was there was no hand sanitizer station for customers to use before accessing the salad bar. That should be a law, but as it is not it is just a sensible thing to do to avoid contamination of the salad bar. If any business cares about the health of their customers they would provide this. Not to do so is to guarantee some people will end up getting sick. read more

I was impressed that you had to use gloves and sanitizer while you were at the salad bar, however if customers are wearing gloves but not required to wear a face mask while serving their salad then there is no protection from Covid. How disgusted I was to watch people serve their salad and cough or sneeze over the salad bar. Face masks should be given to the customers along with the gloves to be able to serve themselves.!!! Until then I will not return. By the way I am vaccinated and still wear a mask, not to protect me but all others. We must all do our part to rid this country and world of covid 19. read more

I had a half sandwich half salad it was very average, hence this three star review. Which is weird because the old Jasons deli that I used to go to in Virginia was like a five-star experience. So I wanted to see if that would match up in Austin. It's safe to say did not. The salad bar was OK I mean it's pretty hard to mess up a salad bar. All you have to do is refill the salad bar with basic stuff like lettuce and tomatoes and to be honest I like the selection from the salad bar so that was one of the more positive things. I ordered a California Ruben and they send me out a California club with onions in it which was disgusting. Sandwich was just not good at all. It's actually making me kind of sick thinking about it. The one thing I will say is that the staff is really nice and helpful but I just cannot read this over three stars with the food being what it is read more
