I frequent this location often and the service there has always been wonderful. Last week I placed an order for a business meeting/lunch. Almost an hour after I had placed the order online, I got a call from Jason's Deli saying they had a major rush of orders come through and it would be another 45 minutes to an hour before they could fulfill our order. Our meeting had already started and was going to be over by the time they got there so, dissapointed, I told them to cancel the lunch order. Jason's Deli called back a few minutes later saying they figured out a way to make it work and were bringing our food immediatly. We were floored. Their service is just the best. Very piss poor customer service and I do believe it was the manager very rude my wife ordered a salmon sandwich and it didn't look very appetizing so she returned to the counter talk to the manager told her about her sandwich and she just said like a smart ass then she picked the sandwich off the plate and said she was not going to to give her fresh side most people would say sorry and take the plate and change out for a fresh sandwich and side no compassion what so ever it's too bad we have people like this in our workplaces I'm sure we will not be back hopefully upper management sees this and does something about this or there will be other people leaving unsatisfied read more

We enjoyed lunch at the Lawrence JD today and WOW what a difference. A team member greeted us as we walked in the deli offering menus. The manager, I believe her name is Karen, was friendly and helpful as we placed our orders. She even asked if our grandson would like a high chair. As we ate our lunches, Karen even stopped by our table twice to make sure all was well. Great management sure makes a difference. read more

I worked here 8 years ago as a delivery driver and came to work stoned everyday. When I wasn't running orders I was eating raw cookies in the freezer and avoided working. One of my favorite jobs. It was dimly lit so when I did have to serve customers dining in they couldn't see my blood red eyes. I also got a free meal every night at close it was amazing. The only bitty complaint about the salad bar is that you can order chicken to go with your salad. The chicken was good but not plentiful. The chicken was also very expensive. Don't think I'll be getting the chicken again. $4.00 for a paltry half cup of chicken is way to much. The sandwiches are okay. They are a bit routine and *yawn* uninspiring to me. They are not bad by any means. However, they are just not great tasting, either. I will say that portions are very generous and you will not leave hungry. Extremely long travel day driving cross country for a loved one's funeral and by the time we got to Lawrence Kansas we had leaped 2 time zones, something which we hadn't taken into consideration checking into a hotel on a late Sunday night. We asked hotel desk for a list of places that deliver. Jason's was on that list. I'm familiar with them so we called them first - even though it was only 2 minutes before closing, they answered the phone and said they would deliver, they even allowed us time to look at the menu to pick items and they delivered it super fast, with a smile and ordered exactly as we asked. THE place to eat if your idea of an afternoon out shopping includes stops at Kohl's, Bed and Beyond, World Market, Wal-Mart and, uh, yea, those other places nearby. As a matter of fact, that's exactly why I was there with my girls. Decor: those hip black and white pictures of Paris and Italian countryside certainly inspire me to try the salad bar or chicken pot-pie soup. But, wait. Look down and by golly, I don't believe that floor has been swept in 3-4 hours. OK, lets move on. The bathroom on my visit needed attention as well. Lets not go there. Cheap? Yes. Less than $20 for three of us and the salad bar is OK by me. Oh, and free ice cream, serve your own. It's food, corporate. It's a chain. You know this. You'll be served by teenagers and we all know their hands are clean. But at least there's no pretense of the Chili's, Buffalo Wild WIngs, Applebee's, etc. just down the street. Please. Memorial day is not how I remember it..I didn't see many people grilling or cooking..so I went ahead and ordered food cause I didn't feel like cooking myself. The very first thing I noticed is that their prices are very high...the broccoli cheese soup was very good...the sweet peach tea was so good...my sandwidh, the Rachel was bit of a let down. The sandwich just didn't have enough flavor..it was so bland. I will be back to try something else, I will just make sure I'm strapped with lots of cash when I do...very pricey for being just a sandwich shop. read more

Jason's is pretty "meh" for me. I've tried them multiple times and the food's consistently sub-par. I had a bad case of food poisoning after having their baked potato. It's a shame, too, because I actually rather liked it. I was worried about trying it again, so I tried their grilled cheese and tomato soup one winter night. It wasn't spectacular, but it was edible. When I tried their potato soup, the color was so off-putting. It was way too yellow. Just kind of screamed "artificial" to me. The soup itself wasn't great. Jason's is edible. For that reason, I don't intend on going back. I'd give it 2.5 if I could. read more

As simply as I could put it, this Jason's Deli is the best Jason's Deli in all of America. I don't know what it is but there is something special about the Jason here in Lawrence. Salad bar is among the best. Just throw a few hard boiled eggs on top and you're good to go. Yankee Club is my favorite. We love Jason's Deli. They have a great salad bar and i have loved every sandwich and soup i have tried. I usually get the managers special, which is soup and half a sandwich. My husband gets the Turkey Rueben and thinks its great. Their Chili and their Southwest Chicken Chili are both really good and I'm pretty picky about restaurant chili. read more

Okay, I know its a chain and I dont tend to go for chains, but it you love healthy soups, salad, and baked potatoes, this is a great place. Its basically just a salad bar, but they have hot food and baked goods as well. The salad is alway fresh, with lots and lots of choices. The soup is always nice.
