Being a new place me and my boyfriend decided to go. It was about a week after opening so it was very busy. We got our food and the manager was asking around and I hadn't ate my food yet and I have a peanut allergey and was concerned about the chips so I asked for ingredients. He immediately told me not to eat anything cause of the bread i ordered. He went to get the ingredients for everything I had on my plate. It turns out it was a different bread than what was on their allergen menu and had nuts! He took me to the back and helped me get a totally new, free meal! And had it specially made. Now keep in mind, they had JUST opened and he was super busy but took the time out of his busy job just to help me. So, customer service is the best I've ever received. Jason's deli is a really good place to grab a quick bite to eat. An unlimited salad bar, and great sandwiches and pasta on the menu. All of the sandwiches come with chips, and the salad bar has moose, and cornbread. Then, when you finish your meal, you can end with great free ice cream or of there soft serve machine. read more

Great food. I had the Beefeater and it was delicious. Word of caution!!!! If you plan to visit, WEAR A WINTER COAT!!!! Holy mountain of meat, Batman! I tried the New Yorker which is exactly a butt ton of pastrami and an equal butt ton of corned beef on rye with ground mustard and rye. It's the one and only sandwich I've had from a Jason's deli and it was ahhhh-mazing. It was also over $9 which is pricey for just a sammich, however, I got two meals out of considering it's massive meatiness. I just may try something else, but I don't know. First time visit so tried the Original Reuben its a deli right? Corn beef was piled high and tender bread was good too. It comes with Lays kettle chips and a pickle spear for 9 bucks. While visiting my sister, we decided to stop here for lunch. She always raves about this place. Was busy when we arrived. Only had to wait a few short minutes for a table. And our food didn't take that long either. There was a minor hiccup with my uncle's sandwich which was resolved almost instantly. I ordered a California Club with a side of fruit. Came with a sauce to dip the fruit. It was fantastic! Excellent portions for the price. Love how there's free ice-cream! Definitely a perfect ending to a delicious lunch! The staff is also amazing! Loved the salad bar!! Great options and very diverse. The easy pay kiosk for those who only want the salad bar options saved us a ton of time as it was a busy lunch rush. Used Jason's online order system. Placed my order at 5:27pm. I showed up at the location at 5:40. I placed my order for "ASAP" in their system. Manager told me upon arrival that my order was for 6-6:30 pickup but they would pull it together right away. 15 minutes later my food came out and the order was still not totally correct. I've gotten a similar order faster when just showing up but often they forget items in my orders. I did not discover until I got home that one of the meals I ordered was not correct. Open til 10pm on a sunday is not heard of especially in Bloomington IL. Late night dine in and it was great! First sandwich that I saw was the Salmon-wich, which had a nice filet of salmon, avocado, tomato, lettuce and something else on a focaccia roll. Really yummy! And free ice cream too! Went here for lunch today with my husband. I ordered the chicken panini while he ordered a panini, can't remember the name but it had bacon, guacamole, jalapeño, and turkey. When we sat down we were served fairly quickly, which was nice. However what was not so nice was that my panini was correct, my husbands however was not. It was a panini with turkey, bacon and thousand island dressing...no guac, or jalapeños! How sad. We were both starving and instead of waiting for another sandwich. He just settled for that one. Knock one star for that. It gets worse however, we were almost finished with our sandwiches when my husband noticed little black hairs EVERYWHERE. on the sandwich IN the sandwich, in the chips...that ruined the rest of our appetite! We were about to leave when we heard a loud noise. One of the waitstaff was changing out some dish at the salad bar when she dropped the lid. Instead of putting the lid in the wash bin she picked the lid up and put it ON THE BOWL WITH THE FRESH FOOD. I've been to a Jason's deli before, this by far was my worst experience. You need to hire more competent workers who know how to work in the food industry, and who can maintain the standards of cleanliness that customers expect and deserve. read more

People seriously think this is quality food? I came here one time and it was the last time. Employee who brought our food (one salad, one grilled cheese and one soup) had his thumb COMPLETELY lodged in the soup and acted like nothing. As he placed it on the table the soup dripped from his thumb! Also the "grilled cheese" looked like something a 5 year old makes. It was nothing but store bought white toast and a slice of Kraft American single cheddar cheese. Also it was microwaved not toasted. The salad had chicken in it and the chicken was gummy and chewy. A group of us decided to try Jason's Deli delivery over lunch. We placed the order at 11:15 and set the time for 12:00-12:30p. I have heard nothing but positive feedback about this new gem. However, a new slogan was created by a coworker of mine, "We deliver, But its better if we don't." The food arrive 40 minutes after 12:30p. The food was then cold and seemed to have been prepared long before the delivery was actually made. The sauce had leaked into the bag from sitting in the cardboard cup for so long also an order was not correct. recent visit i sorted through the ROTTEN lettuce on the salad bar. Slimy red leaf, chunks of rotten spinach. I went around to the iceberg; brown, old lettuce. I had the conversation w/ the staff a few months ago about replacing the rotten-slimy red leaf. The salad girl came by my table and told me I got her in trouble. WHAT! Why does a restaurant think were going to eat rotten food? I got a refund. the mgr. told me he had only been at the job a short time. What does that have to do w/ serving rotten food? I went to Jason's Deli on 05/02/2014. It was an amazing experience. There were so many great sandwich choices that I could hardly make up my mind. I ended up choosing the roast been sandwich with the salad bar. A delicious cup of Au Jus dipping juice was provided with it. The salad bar was incredible! Everything looked and tasted very fresh. The staff was super welcoming and very hospitable. I have highly recommended Jason's Deli to several of my friends already. I will be coming back to try something different very soon! read more

I didn't care much for the menu items I tried at a couple Jason's locations, but I like the vegetarian items on the salad bar and stick with that. The place is not Sweet Tomatoes but may be the best Bloomington-Normal has to offer as far as salad bars. read more
