To be fair - this review does not cover their many sandwich and salad options but only the sweets and service. We popped in with the hope of a nice breakfast with corned beef or possible just bagels and lox... we clearly misunderstood the Deli in Jason's Deli. We opted for strawberry shortcake, brownies and a cookie. I cannot promise the sweets are made in house but the shortcake was likely assembled there. They have several old products out for sale. I specifically asked for a fresh shortcake and pointed it out. The friendly server pulled it out and packed everything up to go. When we got home the shortcake was one of the many old ones with withered darkened and dry strawberries. Likely a simple oversight and another reminder to always, always check that to-go/pick-up order. Friendly and plentiful staff for an empty and tidy establishment. Jasons Deli felt like a partner of the chain Panera without typical breakfast carb offerings. Is it a chain? Is it a spot to pick up a quick relatively healthy meal without hitting a true fast food joint? Possibly. read more

I've had the Beefeater, the Reuben, and the Smokey Jack Panini delivered to me at my hotel. Each of those sandwiches were delicious with great flavor. The deli meat used is high quality. The bread not great but very good. I'd also recommend the potato salad it is top notch! read more

The best salad bar I've ever encountered. Also have an extensive menu and excellent soup. The inside isn't' necessary a very inviting environment so sometimes that deters me from going there. The tables are very close together and unless you get one of the few larger booths, it's pretty crammed if you have more than two people eating. But, the food is definitely top notch for being a fast paced casual concept and very reasonably priced. Great for lunch because you can get in and out quickly. Even getting the salad bar to go lends itself to enough for two meals. read more

I have to say I've never had a bad meal at this Jason's Deli over the years. The menu is very diverse, with plenty of healthy and not-so-healthy options. When I'm going the healthy route, I order the Nutty Mixed-Up Salad, which has fresh mixed greens, craisins, raisins, pumpkin seeds, apple slices, grapes, feta topped with grilled chicken breast. Bonus points for always serving the dressing on the side. When I'm in the mood to clog some arteries, well, Jason's has some sandwiches that can knock you out of the park, especially the New York Yankee -- 3/4 lb. of corned beef/pastrami, swiss cheese, mayo, mustard on rye. Eat the whole thing if you want your night to end, because this thing will lay you flat on your back. If you dine in, there's the ever-popular salad bar, including soft serve ice cream (why the hell not?). Plus they deliver. All in all a great showing for a chain. read more

Have I really never reviewed this place? I'm slacking for sure. Ok, gotta say this review is based almost entirely on the muffuletta. I've had 'em in New Orleans, and I've had 'em here, and they're darned close. The olive salad is dead on, and the bun isn't quite right, but it's closer than most. And it's just plain delicious. I'm talking the ham muffuletta, of course; no such thing as a turkey muffuletta in my book. The atmosphere is clean, the room is spacious, the self-serve salad and drink elements are clean and fresh, and they have sweet tea and they're a Coke place (yay!). I'll admit the very last time I visited, they shorted me on sandwich ingredients, so I'm gonna have a word with them this time, but otherwise great. Other sandwiches I've tasted (we usually share around a bit) have been quite good. The soups are run of the mill, so I don't bother. Have yet to try the salad bar, but I can say from looking it over that it's nice when all the ingredients of a smashing spinach salad are there and ready for the munching. All in all, I figure if writing about a restaurant makes you want to go there tonight, it's a hit. Yep, it's a hit. Jason's Deli is one of my favorite places to eat, even though it's a chain, and here is why: Consistency. Every time we go, our lovable New York Yankee sandwich is just as good, if not better than how we remember it. Today we met the franchisee owner, and he was very polite, and in town to check on how his store was doing. Before leaving, he checked on all the customers to see how they were doing and to ask for any suggestions we could give to improve Jasons Deli or things we would like to see. That's the sign of someone who truly cares, in my eyes--Someone who continuosly seeks improvement. We asked him to get a frozen yogurt option instead of just ice cream, and he said he would look into the demand and see if it was a viable option. I like that. The salad bar is terrific, the sandwiches are wonderful, and I always feel a little bit better about myself knowing atleast part/most of my meal was organic and free of hormones and not crammed with preservatives. First of all, this place just feels grimy. You know the type. My spinach wrap had old sprouts and old avocado, and was dripping (tomato liquid? I don't even know). For a place that toots its own horn about their awesome ingredients, you would think they would at least serve fresh food. Ugh, it just made my wrap so nasty. I'm almost too impressed to even write this review. We did a fundraiser with this Jason's Deli location and thus went to eat dinner there... Service was amazing! They were very friendly and accommodating. We asked a staff member to take a photo of our group and he happily complied. He even took a selfie with us! :) If service won't sell you, the food was also amazing! I was too full to eat but everyone around me had delicious meals with hefty servings. Soups, salads, sandwiches all looked scrumptious! Baked potato is GIANT! Plenty of vegetarian options which are usually hard to find. They even do free ice cream! Omaha doesn't have a lot in the way of delivery options - but this is definitely a good one! Such a wide selection that everyone in my department was able to find something they liked. I highly recommend the nutty mixed up salad if you like vinaigrette salads with fruit additions. The pumpkin seeds are a really nice touch. I LOVE Jason's Deli! I started going when my drs believed I had Celiac Disease. I would always get the Pastrami and Corned beef on their Gluten Free Bread. Since I found out I am not Gluten Sensitive I have tried the kid's bow tie pasta (my son loves to share), the Spuds Au Broc (regular size pictured, its huge! But the lighter side is also a large portion), the Plain Jane Potato (sour cream butter, cheese, bacon, and chives. The Plain Jane is my favorite) & their amazing and creamy Tomato Basil soup. I have only had one issue in over 7 years. I ordered Delivery one night shortly before they stop taking delivery orders (7pm). I had ordered for my husband and I. I ordered a Lighter Side Plain Jane with extra butter and sour cream for myself. When we received the order my husband put it in the kitchen and got his food and I went to get mine about a half hour later when I was finished putting our kids to bed. My plain Jane had nothing but butter on it. The cheese, bacon, chives and sour cream were missing. I called to inform them and requested a new one, however all of their drivers had already clocked out and gone home. The manager asked if I could wait till closing (30min later) and said that was fine. The manager gave us a free bowl of Tomato Basil Soup and 2 free drinks and delivered it herself making sure the order was correct. It was out of her way to go home so I really appreciated it. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Garbage service. Ordered a sandwich with no cheese and steamed veggies. They put cheese on it, and didn't give me a fork for my veggies. By the way, the veggies were rock solid and bland. So I can't eat the sandwich which isn't cheap, and I have to eat the tasteless rock solid "steamed" veggies with my hand. Wtf is that about? So we come in a couple evenings ago and there are 4 people in the whole restaurant and 5 employees. Immediately we ordered (2) 1/2 sandwich/soup combo's. 30 minutes later our "miniature" half sandwiches arrive. Mine was a joke. We ask where's the soup? "Oh it has to be heated up" us: "HUH?" 25 minutes later I get up to tell the manager we are leaving and give us some kind of refund on the soup. Magically it is heated up and I go sit down....he brings us 1 soup . I said where is the other one...."oh" 5 more minutes and I get my soup, and the server was very rude and offered no apology or anything. I wanted to try something different and decided to order Jason's Deli after a long day in the ER at the Med Center-Not Impressed. With the weather I wanted some chicken noodle soup. I ordered a bowl and was surprised when I opened the bag. What I though was going to be a bowl of soup was half of a coffee cup and I paid $7 for it. I also ordered a sandwich which didn't have the tomato or the cheese in the description-I ended up paying $22 total. In all fairness, after I'd written my review, the Assistant Manager, Brian, came over to our table and asked if everything was OK. When i expressed my dis-satisfaction with the Brisket Loaded Potato, Brian did everything he could to make it right! He ended up refunding the cost of the potato and was insistent that he comp the cup of chili I bought to eat for lunch. While I couldn't, in good conscience, accept a refund for a pretty decent bowl of chili this young man's commitment to make things right certainly left me feeling a lot better about this location of Jason's Deli! read more

Love this place. My boyfriend and I go here and I give him my bowl of soup which is an optional (cheap) add on to the salad bar while he gets a sandwich. The food is brought to your table, meaning you don't have to deal with waitstaff (I'm not a fan), and you get free ice cream! Granted, the ice cream is pretty cheap tasting, but it's still a bonus. The service is horrendous here. I ordered a takeout order and was told 15-20minutes. After the allotted time I came to pick up the sandwich and still had to wait an additional 15 minutes for a total of over 30 minutes. It was ONE sandwich! If the workers were working and moving faster I wouldn't be as upset but when I see them standing around ... not acceptable. read more

I've eaten here a few times in the last few weeks for convenience sake. Food is good but the service is under par. Staff is friendly and helpful, but on both occasions something was wrong with my order and I had to go correct it. The last time I was there a third to one half of the tables had dirty trays waiting to be cleared. This would be understandable if it was busy but it was about 4 pm and there was only two other full tables besides my own and no customers behind me for a good fifteen minutes.
