First time at Jason's in a while, but was craving their salad bar. Nothing but good things to say about the items and quality of it. My partner got the Cowboy deli sandwich which was just added back. She got the half sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese and chips. The meat was tough and covered up with lots of some kind of bbq sauce. It was VERY small even for a half. The Mac and cheese tasted like Kraft out of the box. I just can't recommend this, but you can't go wrong with the salad. Service was good. read more

Food was NOT as good as it used to be! My son got the Reuben and the meat was very, very dry and he couldn't even eat half of it. I got a ham and cheese Panini, which was very dry that I couldn't even eat but half of it. My mom and I also got the salad bar and there was not much at all on it and it had all the hard pieces of the salad. I have been here 1 million times. Best salad bar in the city. I enjoy eating in out on the little tables in front in the sun, and also take out salad for $9.99 is a steal. The service can be a little relaxed sometimes - - no one cleans the little tables outside, or they run out of something in the salad bar - - but all you have to do is tell them, and they will fix it. Sometimes the kids they hire at the cash register are 3/4 asleep, no greeting, no smile, it's clear they just wanna go home and go back to bed. The employee comes out to the car as we're about to drive off and says, no, we actually have the meat, we're out of the olive relish. It would have been great to know on the phone. Pretty average place for a lunch or dinner - we typically visit here after getting our hair done down the hall. Almost always grab the exact same thing, chicken panini and some type of roast beef sandwich. Today, we got the panini and the manager special, which includes a half sandwich and a one trip to salad bar. Salad bar has lots of options, menu seems to have choices for all types of diets/palates and you get free ice cream, too. Lots of beverage choices and some interesting teas - including a yummy seasonal tea. Restaurant was clean, employee who rang us up was very friendly, restroom clean and good served quickly. A solid option for an average meal. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but certainly stop by after another local errand. Two meals, two drinks $23 out the door. read more

The guy seemed frustrated that I didn't know what I wanted. I mentioned it was my first time. He explained my side options (then charged me almost $2 extra for a fruit cup.) I assumed it was like Panera: all side choices are the same cost. Anyway the food was delivered quickly. I had a Turkey Sandwich on gluten-free bread. I think I was just so hungry that it was good. I'm giving this place a 4 because typically our food is good....and we can split one huge sandwich. The one we get every single time we go, the NY Yankee! Last night was different, but since the manager was so nice (I believe her name was Lydia), I'm sticking with the 4. I ordered our normal sandwich, the NY Yankee, which contains 3/4 pound of a mix of corned beef and pastrami, Swiss cheese, and rye bread...also mustard, but we get that on the side. As soon as it came out, I thought...ummm, it doesn't look quite right, but oh well. However, the partner in dining said...we got no pastrami and no cheese. I proceed to go to the counter and mention this....well, the cashier proceeds to tell me that I ordered wrong. Because despite what the menu, yep, the menu AT Jason's says, we weren't supposed to get cheese and 2 meats. He argues. I request he read the menu. He does, but keeps saying that regardless of the menu, someone there has told him the this sandwich only has ONE meat and NO cheese. I was almost irritated enough by this point to go get the sandwich and rub his face in it, but good sense prevailed...and instead I requested the manager. He seemed to think she'd straighten me out. Guess what? I didn't. Here's what I copied from the menu: The New York Yankee (1100/670 cal) 3/4 pound combo of hot corned beef and pastrami, Swiss on toasted rye. Thanks to (again, I believe I'm right on her name) Lydia for offering to make the sandwich again, but instead refunding my money. The management is horrible. I used to love going here after church and kids really enjoyed an ice cream cone after lunch. I would want to go other places but kids wanted the ice cream. Well this week the ice cream machine was down AGAIN. No sign or anything until after you get to machine and found out it's broke. THEN the bread on my sandwich was so old it was crumbling. My grandson didn't want any more fruit (thankfully) so I picked up a strawberry to eat it and it's was rotten on one side and several grapes were soft and mushy. The manager was plating the food!! Not appealing to look at but portion size was significantly big. The taste was ok. Their brocolli soup was really good snd and since the place is kept cold it was welcomed. Daughter had the chicken caesar salad nice presentation and it was good. The sandwich definitely deli size. Fresh ingredients and their service was very good. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. Their menu appears to be limited when you are looking at the board but the paper menu has a nice variety and good prices. First time back since the virus hit and not disappointed. We felt safe and appropriately distanced from others. Everyone wore masks. The food was excellent. My husband had a quarter of a ham and salami muffuletta and a cup of gumbo. I had half a beefeater sandwich, which is a French dip, and a cup of broccoli cheese soup. Excellent. Since they cannot have the salad bar nowadays, we watched as one was made by staff for a customer. It looked fresh, tall and delicious. Ordered a simple roast beef and swiss on rye. I mean how do you F that up at a sandwich joint? Easy. First over cook the roast beef to the point you're not sure what meat it is. Then over salt it. Find the most flavorless swiss and slap between 2 slices of cheapass bread that is nowhere near rye. You're good to go. This chain has gone down hill big time. read more
