Very disappointed. I ALWAYS get the ham & salami muffuletta at whichever Jason's around the country I visit. This one has let me down twice in two days. The sandwich had VERY LITTLE meat. It was in fact mostly toasted bread and potato chips. I can't believe Jason's would skimp this badly. It's one of their signature sandwiches for God's sake! I will not be back to this location. I have eaten at this location for 20 years with my family but when we dined there on a Sunday at 6:00 pm (June 2nd) we could tell this place is going downhill. Several of us got the salad bar and they didn't refill so many things on the salad bar with one of the things being the fresh spinach! They were out of sweet tea and ice. An employee was near the salad bar on her cellphone. I complained about them being out of items and another customer complained too. Service was super slow too but after we complained the manager came out from the back kitchen area and began rushing around taking food to tables but she never made sure the empty items were refilled. I feel that when customers are complaining, a manager should go to those customers, find out what the problem is, apologize, and fix the problem. You would also think that at a dinner time on a weekend that everything would have been stocked and ready to go. I also saw an employee eating in the prep area. read more

This is the best family restaurant ever! I go here at least 1 time a week! The food is good and always very fresh! Some items I recommend, for kids: the p b and j is always a good choice! For adults: I recommend the California club sandwich for a good lunch, and for dinner a lobster bisque soup! Also a wonderful place if you like to sit in Booth tables! We love Jason's deli. We go every chance we get! My favorite thing is their Reuben sandwich and onion soup. However they are not serving the onion soup anymore. But their reuben sandwich is piled high with corned beef, sauerkraut and cheese. Their salad bar is delicious with everything imaginable on it and soooo fresh! Also love their ice cream bar. okay, so i admit: i'm getting to be a regular at jason's. i walk in with my motorcycle helmet cradled under my arm pretending like i'm a bad-ass in the midst of the grey hairs and family fun zones. after a long day at work, the unsupervised screaming children throwing themselves on the back of my booth can be cause for minor irritation, but it's nothing that the ginger muffins can't take care of. i am oft impressed at the wide variety on the jason's menu. soup, salad, sandwich, pasta, muffletta, chips/salsa, fresh fruit, wraps, cookies, trail mix, yummy hummus... i mean, if you're there for the salad bar, it's hands down a better choice than salad express down the street. the bar is well-stocked and fresh! i love the mustard based potato salad. i love love love the salsa and blue corn chips. i love the kalamata olives, the pumpkin crackers, the chocolate mousse with chocolate chips, the spicy trail mix, the cranberry walnut trail mix, and no, i've never saved room for the cone after all that. aside from salad bar, i love the garden fresh pasta salad with portobello mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, bow-tie pasta and topped with shredded cheese. their garlic bread/toast always comes out overdone. better not to get the bread toasted. they have a couple of flat screen tvs, if you don't want to miss the game. outdoor seating if you like the bugs. well, actually we've seen ants marching along the window lines inside, but they didn't think to stop by to pick up my crumbs. service at this location has always been pretty good. i've only been there for weekday dinners. sometimes parking is tight in the front lot, but the back lot they share with bj's always seems to have spots available. read more

I've been eating at Jason's Delis all across Houston for over 20 years. I love the few things that I've tried, especially the salad bar but I go for one specific thing. The ranchero wrap. Chicken breast, cheddar cheese, pico de Gallo, jalepenos and ranch dressing in an herb tortilla. Paired with blue corn chips and salsa and maybe a bite of the chocolate mousse from the salad bar if I'm feeling saucy. The kids menu is several dollars cheaper than most restaurants and they have a big selection to choose from. Of course they love the free ice cream too. read more

This salad bar had much higher quality selections than any other in the area. I was very happy with the cleanliness and quality of food. At lunch though it gets VERY busy so have one person in your group go get a table because I literally had to stand and wait for a table after ordering food. Oh how I've missed you Jason :) It's been way too long. Now that we are closer to Jasons Deli, I plan on taking advantage. I really can't vouch for much, but I LOVE the salad bar. So many awesome options, artichokes, kalmata olives, feta cheese, mushrooms, boiled eggs, nuts, cranberries, etc. . And you get free icecream too?! What other reasons do you need to eat there. My kids love the little kids meals. The price is about the same as a fast food restaurant happy meal, but way healthier. So far the staff have all been pleasant. The food is good here but honestly the service is really terrible. I'm Sorry these employees are so rude. When you go To salad bar they always have the same ladies in your way I don't get why. Move! I just paid for salad bar and trying to get my food. Why do you wait until I'm there to select items? Also when you go to get your plate for salad bar they usually throw the plates at you while they look down and don't make eye contact. Worst of all DONT order for delivery they get it wrong 90% of the time. I am being 100% honest, they ALWAYS forget items and get it wrong. I don't see how when they go off an online order to read, but we have ordered online probably a dozen times and the times my order has been correct when they deliver is twice. If my family didn't like their food I would spend time complaining to Corp and never going again. Management needs to step up, they have very low standards and execution. read more

Initially went for the salad bar, but I haven't ordered the salad bar at Jason's Deli for a few years...totally changed. Soup or Salad Restaurant is a 'meh' as it is, was better than what Jason's Deli was offering. POOR selection. So I ordered off the menu, turkey wrap w fruit on the side. The whole wheat wrap was tough, the fruit salad was strawberries and cantaloupe. Out of the 4 strawberries, 1 was rotten, mushy gray..informed to food line, got 4 more strawberries courtesy, 1 of the extra 4 was rotten again. I brought this to the manager's attention. She apologized but said many of their strawberries were received as this way. I asked the manager to please check the food line for other spoiled strawberries, she avoided a response with excuses indicating it wasn't their fault. Yes it is! Inspect your product before putting it out to the public Jason's Deli!!! Health Inspectors will find more issues most likely. Won't be back for a long time. read more

Went here twice this past week while in the area for a business meeting. All I ate was the pastrami sandwich (twice) but it was really good. It reminded me a little of Langer's in L.A., and was much better than your typical pastrami sandwich. Good flavor, tender, with good bread. And prices were extremely reasonable. read more

STAY AWAY FROM DELIVERY!!! Hadn't ordered in years after serious lack of give a damn and too many missing items but thought I'd give them another try. Ordered three times in the past couple of months and I was sadly reminded of why I stopped using their delivery service! a missing bag of chips or a missing cookie in my first two orders I chose to ignore but when you order a salad bar and more than half of it is missing including the dressing!?!?!? I give up! I called to let the manager know and he said he was going to pay for my salad and my desert, That was considerate but I didn't want the money, I wanted my food! I wasn't going to be getting the food though even when I told him I didn't want the money just my salad dressing and the rest of my salad! So the delivery driver was going to get a $10 tip and the manager was going to refund a part of my money but that the driver wasn't returning...I paid cash! In July I placed an order for delivery. I placed it on line several days a head of time. Requested a Vegetarian Sandwich platter for 10 (and commented that cheese was okay) a fruit platter and salad. The first time the driver delivered the wrong order. After I called he did return quickly with another order. When I unpacked the second order, there were wraps not sandwiches....... fruit platter and salad were okay. I called and was told that when it's a vegetarian order you get wraps not sandwiches. The wraps were very sloppily put together all that was in them was a sort of paste and some had a few small green leaves others none....no cheese. Very disappointed and expected more for the high prices. I host 2 events a month and will not be calling on Jason's Deli again. read more
