Great service at lunchtime and very attentive. I ordered the lunch special and although I could have had a little more classico lasagna, it was just the right portion with the soup and breadsticks for me to return to training satisfied but not suffer the itis. Bathrooms were clean and the table was as well. I like the spaciousness of the tables as well. Great for groups whereas you can actually hear each other when holding a conversation. You dont have a bunch of tables together, which minimizes the loudness of the restaurant. An oldie but goodie for a reasonable price. read more

Dining on Thursday after the lunch rush but before dinner. Very quiet restaurant. Jesse was our server. He did a very nice job. The menus were dirty. Food that should've been wiped off. Utensils, glasses plates, and table are clean. Ordered gnocchi, salad, breadsticks, and tour of Italy. All were cooked perfectly. Had to wait a few moments for the breadsticks, but when they arrived, they were very hot and tasty. This store does not serve red wine vinegar, and olive oil for dipping. When it came time for the bill, we learned there are no discounts at this store. Nothing for veterans, AARP, nothing for seniors. Summary, good service good food will be back. read more

Pick-up order...Food was delicious... BUT $16 for a 1/3 filled bowl of pasta (didn't even have meat) is absolutely ridiculous. Never again.

Visited this Olive Garden purely because I wanted soup/salad/breadsticks. It's just your average small town location but last nights experience was a little wild. My individual service was great. No complaints on food or service for me. My problem with my visit stemmed from a woman during near me having the wildest conversation about her sex off and buying nude magazines. A quintessential Alvin experience for sure. That was followed by a disgruntled employee shouting obscenities at another employee about having to sweep the floor. She kept walking back and forth through the dining area and dramatically picking up leftover straw wrappers from either the floor or the seat. I overheard someone try to reason with her but she was very very heated and did not listen. Thus, earning this experience only 3 stars. I'll be back for sure, since I do like a plain soup and salad and it's close to home. I just hope that maybe the young lady who was so upset is having a better day the next time I go. read more

A phone order because online did not offer the options needed. One order spaghetti with meat sauce & meatballs plus additional 4 oz meat sauce , second order spaghetti with meat sauce plus additional 4 oz meat sauce. Note: the additional meat sauces were added cost. Employee reviewed order with me and had to be remined to add the second 4 oz meat sauce order. When placing the order, I pronounced my full name and then spelled both first and last names. Arrived at my p/u time and order was delivered after a brief wait. Employee said name on order & I asked what is the name? And she repeated, ok, first name wasn't even close & last name which begins with a C became a K was thankfully correct. Before leaving I checked order and was missing one of my 4 oz. meat sauces which they did bring after being called again. Get home and find the bread sticks which normally are six for 2 order & in a warming bag, were less than usual and wrapped first in paper towels and then in aluminum foil (photo attached). I was there about two weeks ago. I ordered the soup and salad. The soup was Zuppa Toscana. I looked at photos of the soup from images supplied online by Olive Garden. What they served was nothing like that. The soup should have sausage, bacon bits, kale, potatoes. The "soup" that I was served was a bowl of white liquid that tasted like flour in water. There were only tiny bits of sausage and fragments of kale and maybe a few bits of potato. The service was good. read more

This location in Alvin is at a great location near stores, a chain coffee shop and another chain restaurant. The service was fine and the food was as expected. We shared calamari as a starter. I ordered soup and salad while my daughter ordered salad only. Her friend had a kid's pasta alfredo with chicken. I visited this location on 3/9/2020 despite the recent bad press. On this Monday afternoon at 1p, we had a large party (7 adults and 4 small children) that were all prepared to wait even though the kids were clearly hungry. When we entered the restaurant we were told there would be a 30 minute wait (no problem). The manager leaves and comes back 5 minutes later stating we would be seated. As we walk to our table, I notice the restaurant was NOT filled to capacity (actually about 25%). We sit, get our menus and quickly 2 waitresses (Darby and Brooke) come and announce how the table would be split for orders as well as take our drink orders. Brooke already had a bad attitude probably because of the size of our party (who cares, right?). 13 minutes go by...no drinks, no breadsticks, and no salad. Obviously the kids were getting a little loud. Finally Attitude Brooke arrives with drinks and utters not ONE word. My daughter asks for a drink for my sister who was in the restroom when the orders were taken. Again, attitude Brooke did not even acknowledge the request and walks away. At this point I'm already over the visit and just want to feed the kids and leave. 5 more minutes go by then Darby comes to the table with Brooke and start taking orders. I'm thinking I ordered an appetizer with my drink order yet here Brooke is asking me what my lunch order will be. Orders taken, 5 more minutes go by and my appetizer comes out. Finally after almost 30 minutes, the salad and breadsticks arrive. Darby was amazing interacting with the kids. Brooke on the other hand continues to have an attitude. When Brooke walked away, my daughter asked Darby if Brooke was alright since she was being very rude. Darby didn't understand why she was treating us this way. After another 15 minutes, food arrives and we start to enjoy our meals. We eat, pay our tabs and leave after a long lunch. I purposely left a large tip for Darby because she deserves it. Brooke on the other hand needs some sensitivity training when waiting on large tables. What should be noted in this review is that I could have easily played the race card with the manager and Brooke's reactions, but I won't. I will just NEVER spend my hard earned money at that location. read more

This location is a hit and miss. One day it is good another day it is not good. My last experience I ordered a soup. The waitress came back after more than 30 minutes of waiting sated that the sou had spoiled that if I could please select another item on menu. First off, it is amazing to me why we don't evaluate food in the mornings. This could cause food poisoning and I guess I'm lucky that the waitress let me know. Or I could of gotten really sick. Last night's visit was interesting: salad, chicken gnocci soup and spaghetti were all good. Stuffed chicken marsala was OK but had no sauce which is my favorite part! I asked for more sauce but never got it. Breadsticks were simply Awful! They were stale and hard on the bottom. I asked for more but the waitress said they were all like that and wouldn't bring me others to try. Tea wasn't refilled often enough. Not a good visit. read more

The server was slow and forgetful. The salad came out and the lettuce was wilted and brown and the dressing tasted sour. we waited 30 minutes for our food to come out when every table in our section that was seated AFTER us received their food first. We only ordered pasta dishes, so it wasn't anything that takes long to cook. The food came out and it was only Luke warm, my daughter got the endless pasta bowl and we immediately ordered the next bowl when she received the first bowl and she finished the first bowl and still had to wait 10 minutes to get the second bowl. We immediately ordered the 3rd bowl and never received it!!! We were told that because we paid the bill our server couldn't place the order for the 3rd bowl!!! The server had 10 minutes to get the order in before we even paid!!! Besides we Paid so you got your money, just give me my food!! Needless to say we will not be going back to this Olive Garden!!! I'm not really into chain restaurants that much although I make exceptions for a few. Olive Garden is not one of those, but I had the pleasure of dining at this location's soft opening last night. They had a shortened menu and all food was offered for free. You can hardly beat that deal with a stick! Although the restaurant was pretty busy with their reservations for this event when we arrived, we were promptly seated and served. We could share and appetizer and had a choice of about 6 entrees. Not being that hungry we proceeded right into the meal. OG's standard salad was just that -their standard salad. It could've been mixed a bit more but at least it's dressed when they serve it to you. My Fettucine Alfredo was was nothing to write home about. Would've preferred the sauce to actually be mixed with the noodles as this would've made the dish slightly more appealing. For the servers all being new they did a pretty good job actually. It was certainly a good 150% better than their next door neighbor, Chili's. I did have to send dirty silverware back though and that was disappointing for the brand new opening of this place. Large restaurant, all new and clean; it should do well at this location. Written in my travelogue: Not my favorite Italian by any means, but it will do in a hot pinch to get out of the sun/heat. read more

We tried dinner here before they opened at their friend and family night. We had a select menu, but good selection. Of course since they were newly opened, they were clean, fast service. We have been there several times and still get the same attentive service. A manager always makes their rounds making sure we are happy. Servers check on you frequently. Steak Gargonzola (sp?) The spaghetti was... spaghetti. The soup was decent (the only reason there's two stars instead of one). We came on Veteran's day to celebrate and honor my dad who served during the Vietnam conflict. Two of our dishes were overcharged--we ordered dishes from the lunch menu and were given dishes from the "Cucina Mia" menu, without ever being told so. The dishes are the exact same--you get your pasta and you get your soup or salad--so we had no way of knowing the difference. Until our bill was delivered. I immediately informed the server that this was not what I had ordered. That I ordered the lunch spaghetti/soup combo. He corrected me and said I ordered something different and made no attempt at alleviating my obvious concern about paying more for a dish I did not order. He just walked away. No concern for good, personalized customer service. And no clarification at the time that I ordered the dish. Good job, Olive Garden. Way to throw a service-less kink in our family's celebration of my dad's service. Oh well, Buca di Beppo is so much better anyway. It's not me, Olive Garden; its you. read more

Took our son and his girlfriend for dinner here. This is the first time in about 3 years we have eaten here. My son and I ordered Cheese Ravioli with Alfredo sauce. Son's girlfriend ordered shrimp fettuccine and hubby got chicken Alfredo. Huge disappointment! The cheese ravioli. Cooked too long, ravioli was flat and dry, the cheese on top was almost burned! It tasted awful!! The shrimp fettuccine came with hardly any sauce...it was dry pasta. We had to order more and were charged for it! Hubby's chicken Alfredo was dry and the chicken was scorched. Had to order more Alfredo and was charged. The extra Alfredo came in a tiny ramekin. Come on, Olive Garden Manager....make it right!! This place used to be THE BOMB....now, it's to be avoided!! Obviously, they have made some changes in decreasing the Alfredo on their entrees and possibly a new cook who does not know how to cook pasta. I don't mind extra charge for cheese sauce to dip the bread in, but scant amounts on the pasta and then having to order extra because it came from the kitchen dry is ridiculous. We spent over $80 for a meal that was mostly inedible! We will not go back!! The only positive was the very courteous waitress. read more

Terrible customer service here. I got bit by something while I ate but I didn't think much of it until I got in my car and a Bed Bud was crawling on my shorts. Absolutely horrible. The General Manager and the server went to look under the table with a cell phone and tells me we all did a full and complete inspection. How is that a FULL and complete inspection? What we did see under the one booth bench was a sticky trap with bugs on it right under the bench. He says he not sure where it came from but it was probably not his restaurant but he acknowledged that was indeed a bed bug. I spent $90 in this restaurant and got bit by a bed bug and he gave me a $10 gift card and denied it was a bug from there. Then when I mentioned complaining to someone other than him he got in to a argument with me. Terrible customer service surly not an General manager. read more

My husband and I went for an early dinner, to get a good table. Our waitress was Rachel and she was so very nice and helpful with our order. She helped my husband with his meal order suggestion. This was the first time I had ever been asked if there was something I wanted to be removed from the salad. Yes we did, no onions or peppers. Worst service. They opened at 11 am. We arrived at 11:35. They told us there would be a 25 min wait although there was only one other family there. They said it's because they don't schedule their wait staff until noon. Why open if you don't have it staffed? But The manager was rude, my girlfriend had left her phone and we were given at least 4 different reasons why we would not get it back until the next day. I offered to call the police department and i was told I was being unreasonable even though they had my property she then gave me an excuse of how she locked herself out of her own office where the phone was sitting I ended up having to call the cops. Best Olive Garden experience I've ever had. The waitress was awesome and the restaurant as a whole is very accommodating to vegetarians.

I want to start off and say that I have eaten at quite a few Olive Garden's in the Houston area and ehhh they never really did anything for me and today I was in Alvin around lunch time so I said why not I could give a tour of Italy another try. Well I'm glad I did! Because this was the BEST tasting Olive Garden I've ever had the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Also staff was very friendly from the time I walked in to the time I left. My server Stacey was very nice and attentive and brought her A- Game today and the MOD (manager on duty) was also very polite when I spoke to her about my amazing experience with her store. I recommend this location to anybody and will tell them to request Stacey as well. I am a server as well so I appreciate friendly staff and good service. Keep up the hard work ladies y'all are doing an awesome job! read more

We went here this weekend for the first time since its opening for dinner. The place was pretty busy, but our waitress Nichole was excellent. She stayed on top of things without annoying us. Everyone was very friendly. The only thing I didn't particularly care for are the small tables and big plates. For a family of 4 with appetizers, the table got covered quick! Nice people here. Standard Olive Garden fare (read: Good). However, don't go there expecting to get a wifi/internet connection. This is more of a dig at ATT business than Olive Garden. I spoke to the manager who indicated they call ATT regularly about the spotty service. Apparently, ATT could care less about keeping their business customers happy. This squares with my other experiences with ATT. So my business lunch conducted no business but was quick and tasty. Would be nice if the restaurant posted on the front door when the connection is down. read more

Tonight was my first visit to the Alvin location. I had the shrimp scampi fritta and lasagna. Both were excellent. Even though it was near the end of their day, all of the staff I had any interaction with were friendly, upbeat and seemingly happy to be doing what they were. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, which has but always been the case with other restaurants in Alvin. Very happy I ate here tonight and that Olive Garden is in town. read more
