I asked him to check my transmission. He said sure I just needed to drop it off in the morning. He called later that afternoon. He mentioned she (my truck) was ok. I then mentioned my problem was I had to warm up my truck for 15 minutes and then she would be good to drive. Having to do this every time I had to go to work or after work I'd sit there for a while was becoming annoying. Bill kept the truck for over night to see how she would run in morning. . Bill drove her and he expierenced the same thing I did. Sure enough it was the transmission. I took her home and drove it about a week so I could notify work. It was going to cost me 4,800.00 for a rebuilt 3 year warranty. Bill called and said there was another piece that needed repairing so I paid a little over $5.000. All in all I liked the fact Bill had my truck ready in 4 days was fantastic he originally quoted me 5 days. I had the best quality care for my vehicle. Bill was very professional.

He replaced the radiator and water pump, repositioned the external transmission cooler, and replaced the tail housing gasket on the transmission. My truck has never run cooler transmission temps than it does now. Francis is very knowledgeable and actually understands how these older trucks heat up when you're towing or sitting in traffic. He explained what he was doing and why instead of just slapping parts on. If you need cooling or transmission work done right, take it to Francis.

I found Francis through an online search because of the many positive reviews, and during our first interaction he was friendly, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. He ordered the part directly from Acura and quoted me a fair price. My car was ready the following day, but when I arrived to pick it up, Francis informed me that my vehicle had been involved in an accident while in his care. He explained that another driver had been speeding through the parking lot and crashed into him. He gave me the other driver's information, and I contacted him immediately. The other driver gave a very different version of events. He stated that he was backing out of a parking space and did not see Francis. He also told me that Francis provided his driver's license information but refused to share insurance information. Now, more than a month later, I still have a damaged vehicle and have not received insurance information from Francis despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and outreach from Mercury Insurance. I trusted this shop to take care of my car, not return it to me in worse condition and leave me responsible for a $500 deductible. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency. Francis acted as though this situation was not a major concern and repeatedly assured me that the other driver would "take care of it," which has not happened. According to the other driver, Francis even asked him to change the story about what happened. I chose this business because of its strong reviews and the image Francis presents, but my experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I believe customers deserve honesty, transparency, and responsibility when their vehicle is in someone else's care.

First off I was referred to victory transmission from another shop that did not do import cars. After speaking with the owner and walking the shop I decided to leave them my 03 accord to do the job. They did a great job fixing/replacing the transmission. They also noticed other issues like the radiator and a Catalytic converter. They notified me of the problem and said that they could handle it. Which in my eyes is above and beyond for the them and extremely helpful for me. Now I don't have to get those done at a different auto shop after the transmission was completed. They kept me informed of the progress the entire time they had my vehicle. Everyone at that shop was extremely nice, polite and professional. They explained everything that was being done to my vehicle. I have and will continue to refer people to this shop!

I paid Lakewood 76 Auto Repair $89…read morefor an oil change on August 18, 2025, but based on what happened afterward, it appears the oil change may not have been done at all. On November 5, 2025, my car suddenly displayed a P1009 engine code, so I took it to a different shop for diagnosis. The technician there was immediately surprised when he checked my oil. He told me the oil was extremely black, dirty, and low, and said it did not look like it had been changed recently, if at all. The dirty oil caused damage to my VVT solenoid, which now had to be replaced. I was charged $525 to correct the issue that occurred as a result of what appears to be a lack of proper oil service at Lakewood 76. I have photos of my oil dipstick showing how dark the oil was, as well as the invoice from the repair shop documenting the condition of my oil and the damage it caused. There were no oil leaks, and I drive my car regularly with proper maintenance intervals, so there is no reason my oil should have been that dirty after less than 3 months with normal driving use. I trusted this shop to do a basic oil change, and that trust was broken. Because of this experience and the unnecessary expense it caused me, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this shop to others.

The other driver stated that the individual also assaulted them before fleeing the scene with significant front-end damage (missing front bumper). Even more concerning, video footage posted online appears to show employees bending and obscuring the vehicle's license plate before the driver left--preventing it from being clearly captured on video, and then declining to provide information to the officers who responded. Based on what has been reported and shown in the available footage, I am cautious about trusting my vehicle--or my safety--to a business where employees behave this way.
