I always come to L&K when ever I need to have service done to my car. The shop has a lot of beautiful flowers lined up the office. Yi is very nice, funny and honest with his business. He added what is needed to be fixed and tell you exactly how they'll fix it and how much it'll cost. He will not try to sell you more services that you won't need. He's also very hospitable, one time I was waiting for my car and I said j wish there's a cafe close by, he's very nice to make me a cup of coffee. I called to drop it off on a Friday morning and rhey offered to take a look at no charge. I came in to the shop and was surprised to see all the beautiful plants and flowers - and later found out many were given to them by their loyal customers. I've never seen such a lovely auto body shop- and it reflects the care and personal attention they give to their work and customer relationships. They checked out my car on the spot and even suggested a product I could use to keep rodents from getting under my hood and damaging my car. They really care! Past experiences here have been fine but after trying to get the car maintenance, we were accused of completing a factory reset on our car (which was completed by the dealership - not us). The man gave us a wait time of 2 1/2 hours and turns & accepts a car that came after us! Totally unacceptable and rude, we will NOT be returning here. read more

I went in yesterday and within 15 minutes Yi told me he knew what was wrong with my car, ordered a part , gave me a fair quote and told me to come back today and they could have it done in 3 hours. It all sounded great to me! I showed up today at 8 am, and of course due to their good work, there were other cars there waiting, but once it was my turn, they were done in 30 minutes. I feel like Ive never been so sure of a 5 review in my life. Ive taken my car to Honda for the last few years but now its out of warranty and Honda Cerritos wants to keep adding in services that arent needed. In addition Hondas wait times are crazy long even with an appointment. Overall I just dont trust taking my car to Honda Cerritos. My roommate has been going to L&K for many years so I decided to give it a try. I called Saturday morning and spoke with the owner (i think his name is Yi). He told me bring the car in now and he will have it done. So I brought it in. He is super nice and respectful. He doesnt throw in nonsense recommendations. I called ahead to see if I could make an appointment and immediately, I could tell Yi was honest and experienced. I thought I was going to need new brakes and rotors, he took his time to ask me questions and then explained that he didn't think that would be the case. He was right. Brought the car in and he confirmed it only needed brake pads. Upon pick up, he told me that they noticed a shaking upon acceleration, which we were told by the Honda dealership was a big axel problem and would be $8k to fix. Yi insisted that it was not a safety issue, very common in our make and model and not something we needed to worry about now. L&K are now our go to for anything related to servicing our cars. Be aware! The owner, Mr. Yi is unprofessional, especially in his way of communicating with customers, and does not appreciate his customers. I've been coming to this place for over 6 years, mainly for oil changes for my 2015 Acura RDX. Even though I moved further away last year, I kept coming back. However, this time, I've decided not to return and to leave an honest review, as I keep having unpleasant conversations over the phone with the owner every time I call to check for availability or ask a question. He likes to give lectures to his customers without giving them a chance to finish their questions. I don't know if it's because I'm an Asian woman younger than him, but IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. How can you even give lectures to your customers without listening to what their questions are? On top of lecturing, he always emphasizes how busy they already are for the day, multiple times, no matter how early you call to check availability. Good for them, but isn't that the way your business would be if you're the owner? Or he can simply say come tomorrow, right? I find him unprofessional, especially in his way of communicating with customers. He is just lucky to have hired good technicians. I'm tired of being treated unpleasantly when spending my money as a customer. I'll go find another place that appreciates their customers. read more
