I have been bringing my cars to Mac's Auto when they opened their new location several years ago. The shop is clean and I can not say enough about their service! Honest, courteous, and friendly. Starting with Mac (not an absentee owner) who is willing to work in all areas of operations, Tony who runs the front office, schedules appointments, takes payments, orders special parts. Thank you to Mac's Auto repair. They did a great service on my car. In and out in one day. However, I must say that I am dismayed with the pricing. I was quoted $636 to replace the max airflow sensor. I was surprised by the price. I looked up the part, and from the dealer it was $165, Mac's wanted $312. After market was only $35-65. The diagnostic was $165, which I feel is very high (1 hr labor fee). I'm no mechanic but according to online information, which I don't really trust, it should have taken about 10 minutes to change. I'm willing to give an hour due to text driving and monitoring, I really appreciate the extra time. Just be aware that the parts prices are very over priced. They did reduce the part price for me to cost, which I really apprecite. They are very friendly and kind. read more

I was referred to go here to get an alignment service after I replaced 2 tires. The front desk told me they couldn't take me as a walk in but they would take me if I came in early the next day. They completed the service faster than they estimated and the front desk also recognized me which was sweet. They have a small lobby. 2 seats. But it's well conditioned and cleaned up nicely. read more

I took my 2006 Toyota 4runner for an oil change. Thony was really helpful and friendly. He complimented how clean my car was for it's year and how low mileage it was. The oil change was done in a reasonable amount of time and he told me the car looked good after inspection. The car drove a lot smoother after the oil change. Another local repair shop messed up my car even after they tried to refix it. Took it to Mac's at the recommendation of my neighbors and they fixed it right, used factory OEM parts, found one other issue while not a big deal had them repair it anyways. Not the cheapest prices in town but better value for the money since repairs were done right the cost time. read more

I'll be honest and tell you that Mac's is in a convenient location for us, close enough to home to make drop off and pickup of our vehicles a breeze. But through a few years of using them, we have always been satisfied with their service, their friendliness and their prices. They are behind Andy's Express carwash, so a little hard to find, but worth checking out. read more

WOW! These guys are amazing! As a life time performance enthusiast I've built and maintained many cars but in my older years I prefer to let other experts do the hard work. I purchased a used 2007 BMW X5 from a private party as a daily driver but found that the vehicle had a severe oil leak that was hidden by the previous owner (towel stuffed in the undercarriage). After extensive inspection Mac and Thony found the leak which was an oil temperature thermostat. They replaced the unit, serviced the vehicle and got me back on the road. I have a 69 Chevelle, owned it since I was a kid and built it from scratch. I really dislike and do not trust shops around it, mostly they never do what they are supposed to or mess something else up. But I was in a crunch and was referred by a regular customer. I dropped my car off and was nervous but they remained confident and assured me only specific people will be near it and working on it. Hours later it was done and they were thorough in what they checked and corrected on my alignment. They communicated all the technical specs I wanted to know and explained it. They are definitely car people and that goes a long way. I was able to drive the car straight to Vegas, raced AutoX/Roadcourse/Drag and drove back with no issues! Great service, will be back again! I couldn't ask for better service along with his staff rocks! Not only was my service reasonable. It was done in record time even before the estimated time which usually means at other services else ware you're hanging out there longer. Not the case here, great reading material highly recommend hanging out there, enjoying a cup of coffee, reading some wonderful gospel, Christian type books they are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, nor am I. First time here and I came in for a broken lug nut. They helped replace it right away. They are fast and reliable. Mac and Tony helped me and I was very satisfied with their quick work. I really recommend this location. The inside for their waiting room is small, but it is very nice decorated, they also have a keurig for coffee. BREAKING NEWS... TIME TRAVEL IS POSSIBLE!!! It's easy... just go to Mac's! There once was a time from a bygone era where your local auto mechanic could be trusted. A time when a person with integrity could still be found. Someone who holds the same high standard that he would want given to him. That place can still be found at Mac's Automotive! The owner Mac has instilled that same high standard into his workforce as well and it shows. Tony his right hand man is always there to lend a helping hand and is very accommodating as well. I'm going to try and sum up why you should ONLY go to Mac's automotive in a short message. I've worked on cars myself but have lost the time to do so. I've tried out quite a few different mechanics and have been satisfied but never extremely impressed. That is not the case with Mac's automotive. I was referred by a friend who knows and trusts the owner, I was skeptical as I always am but gave them a try. Needed some major work on my car and didn't have the time or tools available to do it myself. They went above and beyond in repairing my car, their pricing was extremely transparent and fair, and their customer service was top tier. Since then, I have trusted them and taken my car and my wife's car SOLELY to Mac's automotive. 10/10 would recommend. I guess you can take it there for easy simple things. I took my car in, had to have the head gasket replaced. Picked up my car, called as soon as I got home because it wasn't running right. Had to wait over a week (because they were busy) to take the car back to fix it. When I took it back, they told me it was the turbo and they don't do turbos. Thank goodness they don't, who knows how much more it would have been?! It wasn't the turbo, the vacuum lines weren't put back correctly! So I paid them 3900.00 and they didn't get the car running right! Some of the work they did was okay. But make sure it's something easy for them to figure out. That's too bad, because at first I was happy that I (or at least thought I) had found a good mechanic shop. read more

I have a 1970 Bronco and was referred to Mac's by another shop because they (Mac's Automotive) work on older/classic cars. My rear driver's side brakes locked up and Mac & his team immediately knew the issue and began work on it. I have since been back for a tune and the Bronco is running like a champ!! Mac & Thony's knowledge is extremely valuable and their customer service is top notch. I'm definitely sold on Mac's and will absolutely not hesitate to take it back for any major work I need help with. read more

On November 5, 2025, my car suddenly displayed a P1009 engine code, so I took it to a different shop for diagnosis. The technician there was immediately surprised when he checked my oil. He told me the oil was extremely black, dirty, and low, and said it did not look like it had been changed recently, if at all. The dirty oil caused damage to my VVT solenoid, which now had to be replaced. I was charged $525 to correct the issue that occurred as a result of what appears to be a lack of proper oil service at Lakewood 76. I have photos of my oil dipstick showing how dark the oil was, as well as the invoice from the repair shop documenting the condition of my oil and the damage it caused. There were no oil leaks, and I drive my car regularly with proper maintenance intervals, so there is no reason my oil should have been that dirty after less than 3 months with normal driving use. I trusted this shop to do a basic oil change, and that trust was broken. Because of this experience and the unnecessary expense it caused me, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this shop to others.

I was relieved that the service technician was able to do the inspection, made recommendations and tires replaced, plus alignment performed all in the span of less than 2 hours. We have used America's Tires in the past at their former location in Long Beach Town center. I was happy that Brandi presented options that could fit my low mileage driving style ( thanks to working from home since 2020 pandemic). I opted for Yokohama tires, plus the available free monthly air check and every 6 months balance service that came with purchase. Quite busy location, every technician was courteous; I received updates as the work progressed. Francisco did the alignment and overall I feel my car drives smoothly now. In the end I purchased a rim for a spare tire, using one of the existing tires that were going to be trashed anyway. All cars run on tires after all, and I wanted a safe ride that did not require replacing until about 10 years after, given my low mileage. Tires cost from less than $100 each to over $200 depending on your driving needs. Bonus: clean all gender restrooms with changing table, comfortable and air cons waiting room.

Because I bought the tires from them and I also purchased the tire insurance from them. The lady visually inspected and couldn't see anything wrong. She refilled air and I went on my way. A few days later the TPMs light came back on. I took it back in. Told the rep the situation. Asked him if he could check it out for me. The tire is still under warranty and I have tire insurance on top of that. He told me he could not inspect the tire until I bought two new front tires from them. I gently declined. He kept on trying to sell me on tires citing safety issues etc. Since I did not buy two front tires from them, they refused to service my back tire. I brought the car in to get a tire checked out and serviced, from a store I bought the tire from, not to be solicited and forced to buy something I did not want. Why pay insurance for something when you can even utilize it for the reason you bought the insurance for in the first place. Came back to speak with a manager to report the incident and get some clarity. I was helped by a gentleman named Nicholas. He was great and he offered to help and make things right. I had to politely declined. I went to the other guys down the street. They were much more helpful and honest. After this experience I will never buy tires from them again. Been a loyal customer for over a decade. Spent thousands. Bought all of my family's tires from them. A company in decline, if they feel that they have to force, manipulate, and corner their customers to produce sales. What a shame.

They were able to help me with my smog check and let me know what was wrong with my truck all the way around. I needed an oil change and they took care of it no problem. Also was able to tell me which tire pressure sensor was bad and was able to tell me about my stability track. On top of all of that they topped off all my oil and fluids. Check all of my filters. It was just a really good experience that I haven't had from a repair shop in a very long time not even the dealer does it like that anymore. I really appreciate how transparent they are. Five stars really aren't enough stars for them. And the best part is, it's a price you can't resist. Thank you guys!

I would never take my car to this place again. This December during this surge of Covid, the guy at the front desk was not wearing a mask, even after I asked him to, he got into my car and drove it without a mask. They seem not to have any concern for public safety or their customers. I took my car and left. read more
