They installed new central air years ago in my house in Long Beach, and again did another install in a new home I moved to, in the Los Al area. Did a great job both times. What impressed me the most was that they took the time diagnose the old system, and replace the old high maintenance junk, with modern systems that were way more energy efficient, and way more reliable, than what I had. In my case I also opted with a larger system that pumps out more air and needs to run less. So if you need to replace an old system, I recommend you call Jav-Air. read more

They came the day my heater stopped working which was awesome. They were here about 15 mins cleaning up my wall heater so it can detect and work again. But I will say it did cost 300$ for a seemingly quick fix. It's a bit pricey here as I did research and some would do what they did for better price! But I do appreciate they came down here that day, as it's so cold lately. But the price. Eep. I should've asked for an estimate first. For emergencies I would definitely come here. If I have time I'd compare prices this time. read more

My unit needs to be topped every four years. I usually have a friend do it but he lives far away and it's kind of an inconvenience for him. Jav-Air is just a few blocks from my home and they have good reviews. Turns out s tech was leaving shortly for my area and would be by shortly. After some nice hellos Abraham and Ivan got right to work. Brought my system back up to full charge. They had nice digital state of the are gauges with bluetooth capability. Very up to date. Anyway, they confirmed that temperature readings, at a few different ducts inside the house, were a nice differential and wrapped everything up. Would definitely call them next time. read more

I don't have central air at my house, but my mom does and as I was dropping my kid off for a playdate (to be babysat) I noticed it was 10 degrees hotter inside than the balmy 85 degrees it was outside. Not cool. Simply not cool. I searched yelp for an HVAC repair place, and thought I'd give Jav-Air a try. I called, a very nice lady picked up and told me she could have someone over that afternoon between 1 and 3. I had to leave for work, but my mom would be waiting. After 2 follow up phone calls, Javier arrived to my mom's house just after 4. The fee for the service call was $95, and after seriously 2 hours of cleaning out and de-frosting my mom's AC unit on the roof, it was an additional $135 and the AC was back in service. Jav-Air was friendly and professional and I would totally use them again. read more

I found him 5 years ago, and find his prices competive, his work excellent, and his integrity is outstanding. He will tell you if he can fix something and save you money when you are selling a property, or tight for money. He and his company is wonderful to deal with. His workers show up on time, are clean, know what they are doing, and are really nice I used to get several bids, but now just call him right away. He just did my mother's heater, my sister's A/C, removed a client's heater for me, and checked out another client's heater and ac when buying a condo. We used this company last year to fix our A/C when it was scorching hot outside. The company was able to get someone out to our house the same day. The men were very polite, clean and knew what they were doing. Javier was able to get our A/C unit fixed and informed us that the parts that weren't working were still under warranty - he was very honest and didn't try to make a quick buck. Honesty... That's JAV AIR!! Last summer with all that humidity, my air was blowing in hot air! WITHOUT reading reviews I called Reliable Air... Biggest mistake! Long story short, I paid $90 for them to come out to tell me I need a new electrical panel for my AC. Estimate was out of control! We had a very hot and humid summer! We saved and decided to fix our air before summer this year. I read reviews and called JAV AIR because they come out for free estimates. He came out the next day! I told him our problem, the estimate from the other company, and he checked everything! Come to find out... Our electrical panel and unit was working great! It was all the dirt surrounding the AC unit that the gophers decided to build! ( the air wasn't circulating) with a little digging and cleaning, my air conditionier worked!!! They did a top quality job and did it quickly (we had estimated it was a 2-hr job and they completed it in less than an hour). I called Javier on the hottest day of the year (July 7, 2018), because one of our air conditioning systems was not working at all. Miraculously, Javier showed up at our home at 7:00 p.m., and had our system working within about an hour and a half. Horrible service. Purchased my house in Oct and immediately knew the ac was not working so I called Jav-Air since they were the ones that serviced the ac and have a 1yr warranty prior to escrow closing. I told them there has to be a leak in the unit, all they did was put in more Freon. Called them a second time when the heat wave started and the guy put in Freon again, didn't check for leaks. I tried turning it on the next day and no cold air, again. I called them and the owner told me teenagers use Freon to get high.....? What did that have to do with my ac not working? Because i have two teen boys? Very unprofessional of JAVIER. I told them there has to be a leak. Finally a third guy came and really tested it out and said the motor was leaking and the warranty would cost it so he would have to take my unit so they could fix it at their shop. I get a call later that day from Amanda saying there's physical damage to the unit that the warranty doesn't cover so they ant fix it! All bs because the physical damage was done before I purchased the house and the damage is NO WHERE near the motor! I told them to bring he unt back and when they did one of the corner covers was missing, the two guys installing it said they could bring t back later, that was at 10am. I callled at 3pm asking for the cover and Amanda said it was late in the day and no one would be able to come out until today first thing in the morning. I am having someone else come at 10am and it is now 9:50am and no one has come. I called and James said Amanda would drop it off but not install because the corner area is where the leak is coming from and they'll leave it like that's for the next company. WHAT?! It really isn't their problem as to leaving stuff off for the next company. Goodness. They just didn't want to do a free job. Never calling them again. Worthless and waste of time. read more
