Stars for coffee and vibe, I haven't tried their foods or pastries. I spent a week in Houston visiting relatives and found this place on Yelp. I tried their cortado and iced latte, and both were very good. I like my espresso on a sweeter side, without too much dark roasting flavor or sourness. I tried 3 other local coffee shops in the area and in downtown (2 of them also very highly rated), and this one was my favorite. (Although the downtown one had better selection of pastries) The vibe is interesting - not super cool or hip..but very friendly, neighborhood-y so to say. And the customers are very diverse - I loved that there were many families, friends, people all ages, people reading, knitting, etc. Also a friend of mine who lives in League City told me this place has her favorite espresso beans! Liked that they offered MCT oil and butter, not many places offer that in the local area. One of their specialty drinks was the honey owl latte. The drink fell flat and was just plainly not good. Awesome new coffeeshop in Nassau Bay! The interior is spacious and offers a variety of seating from chairs and tables to couches. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy, but the staff were doing a great job of getting the orders and also bringing out the drinks personally to customers. The owner also stopped by to deliver my drink, and was around making sure that everyone was doing okay. There was a mix of studying students and groups coming in to hang out. Overall, not a bad place to do both. Other small touches included bringing drinks out on coasters, and having both USB and normal wall outlet chargers. Had an iced lavender latte with oat milk, which was very good. I would definitely want to try more of their coffee options in the future, as well as some of the baked goods that seemed very popular with other customers. There is a piano where people can openly play, and the overall decor and vibe of the place is so uplifting, and I always get things done when I am spending my days there. While their main focus is their beverages the food also is very good, with sweet and salty options. I went in after a workout expecting to order an iced coffee. I'd never been before, but remembered this cafe from when it was on Upper Bay and decided to go there instead of the mermaid. None of the patrons inside where wearing masks, but part of the staff was. Masks aren't required, but this is just an fyi in case that's something you look for. I told the guy at the counter I wanted iced coffee, preferably something sweet. He suggested a lavender latte. I was surprised to see actual lavender inside the cup. It was a good drink--sweet and refreshing. The espresso wasn't overpowering. My only complaint was that I wanted a large iced coffee and the guy at the counter didn't let me know if there were other sizes available for that drink. read more

But it is a coffee shop with lovely ambiance and a consistently delicious Brazilian (blend?) coffee on drip. The coffee is nutty and chocolatey, just what you'd expect from good coffee from Brazil. And, as the coffee cools, a beautiful fruitiness opens up in the cup. Unless you dislike the flavor of coffee, stay away from the Texas Pecan coffee that is sometimes on offer. I'm sure it's popular amongst some segment of customers, but taste like coffee it does not. The owner and staff are great! If there's anything wrong with your order, they'll do what it takes to fix it. I'm an out-of-towner, so I might not be back soon.
