Small Iced White Mocha with Oat Milk

Another great coffee chain in Clear Lake! I wasn't familiar with 7 Brew Coffee until this location opened, but they are a huge chain with locations all over the country. The set up is drive thru only. I didn't see a walk up window or an outdoor seated area. They have two drive thru lines which reminded me of Chick-Fil-A. The lines move extremely fast because they have attendants that take your order at your car. If you need to see a menu, I believe there is one at the window, but I would suggest looking up the menu online ahead of time. You can of course ask the employee as well if you need suggestions. I didn't know what to order so I went with my tried and true Iced White Mocha with Oat Milk. I ordered a small which is 16 oz. (same as a Starbucks Grande) and it was really good! I didn't order any food, but I noticed they have a few food items like muffin tops (similar to Dutch Bros). The young lady that took my order was really nice. When I pulled up to the window, the young lady who was running orders out to cars was very friendly and chatty. I don't live in Clear Lake, so I haven't had a chance to return. The next time I'm in the area, I'll be stopping by so I can try one of their signature beverages.

Convenient coffee drive-thru on the way to work. They have so many flavor options, which can be overwhelming. I don't like that you have to scan the menu on your phone, so I just searched social media for recommendations while waiting in the long line (which moved fast/CFA style) I've been two days in a row and so far, nothing really stands out to me. They took my number but didn't discuss the reward system or an order ahead app. They have "regular" ice and their prices are pretty standard. I need to research incentives, but in the interim, they're having freebies 1/13-1/18!

Good quality coffee but the drive through is terribly slow, need to improve the turnaround time.

This spot is inside an HEB so I was a little worried when I first pulled up to the HEB parking lot. It's a stand that was very clean and well kept right near the entrances. I was met with a friendly cashier/barista (there was only one person working). She answered my questions and also quickly made our drinks once ordered. I went with my usual black island which I adore. The pandan coconut flavors with an espresso kick go very well together in my opinion. I think their coffee in general is great and not overly acidic so I get the taste of coffee and kick of caffiene all in a flavorful drink! Definitely an ideal location for yours truly and a great stop for coffee if you're showing guests various establishments Houston has to offer!

My staples are usually island latte and black island. There has been some seasonals that were good but I can't remember the names. For the winter 2025 menu they have a delicious red velvet latte. I ordered it hot because it's a but nippy outside and it comes with 1 shot if espresso. If you are wanting/needing more then let them know!. I've never had a red velvet latte nor have I ever seen it on a menu so I gave it a try. Surprisingly good! It had a nice hint of peppermint and a slight mocha taste. I don't like mocha coffee and I think this was a very good subtle peppermint mocha. If you don't like peppermint then this drink is not for you. I would definitely get this again and a bigger cup or better yet see if they would put it in one of my own mugs. They started selling breakfast tacos! If I was hungry I would have gave it a go but I wasn't so next time! I love the addition of a coffee shop within heb. I never have enough time in my day and it's nice you knock off groceries and a tasty coffee in one stop. They do have merchandise for purchase as well. You honestly can't miss it because it so nice bright and an inviting spot that you can see from the check out counter. Unless you are at self check out then you may miss the coffee shop. I wish their IG page stays updated with their seasonal drinks available. I am a sucker to try out seasonal drinks and usually I plan out my visit by seeing their IG pages first to see what they currently have to offer.

The cookie was baked to soft perfection. I went with a friend who thankfully knew to join the waitlist about an hour before we planned to arrive, which made the wait very manageable. Had we not known that important little tip, we probably would've been waiting close to an hour. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience, and I'd definitely go back again.

However, my last experience with this establishment left a horrible taste in my mouth. Therefore, I am giving them an extra star for the previous experiences. On May 17th, 2026, my best friend and I had been looking forward to coming to Water Oak all day and had our taste buds set for the occasion. We were famished and had quite a day up until arriving. Upon entering the restaurant, we were very briefly greeted by the a Hispanic man who I assume is the manager and told that they were "no longer seating for the day". I glanced around and saw that every table inside WAS seated, however there were many tables outside that were empty. I asked about the patio stating that us where we preferred to sit anyway, and was met with that they were also not seating the patio at all for the rest of the day. However, there was a group of 3 women seated outside on the patio at that exact time. I didn't say anything, simply turned and left. After having "one of those days" hashing out something so minute with a person who clearly didn't want us in their place of business was not something I was about to do. Keep in mind, we came on a Sunday afternoon. Prime brunch time. We arrived at the restaurant around 2:30PM, and their website says they don't close until 4PM. I am a biracial black woman and my friend is white. I noticed a significant amount of White and Latino patrons, but a shocking lack of Black people. With Houston having one of the most diverse populations in the US, it is almost impossible not to see at least one individual of each ethnicity in a place at any given time. I am definitely not one that likes to pull the race card, because oftentimes that is not the issue. However, as someone who is familiar with the service industry I understand Sundays can be extremely overwhelming. And I am cognizant that not everything is that serious. But, I am also aware that a lot of people in the industry discriminate against people of color, with stigmas that we don't leave enough gratuity or we "don't fit the vibe of their establishment". And those 3 women seated on the patio? All White. After reading recent reviews, it seems that management is discriminating against people of color, more specifically Black folks. This is an extremely disheartening and sickening realization to make, seeing as I have given well over $1,000 worth of my money here but also enjoyed many meals without issue. To management: It breaks my heart to have to write this review and to be honest, I wouldn't have written it if I hadn't seen others posting about similar experiences in addition to also feeling discriminated against. I highly suggest that if you are "not seating" after a specific time, you announce this via social media or alert potential patrons with a sign or something of the sort. & obviously, there is such an issue with treatment towards POC that it is a noteworthy problem via your Google & Yelp reviews. You will have a much bigger fish to fry on your hands if you continue to let this issue go on unrectified. I would be willing to return if I felt things were to be changed for the better in the future! Hopefully this review sparks a much needed conversation and brings attention to an area which needs work.
