He was not wearing anything that said 'jiffy lube' on it, and looked like he just rolled out of bed. He said was there by himself but can't do an oil change until his friend comes back. Against my better judgment, I went back after running errands. Still Javian, but now with a colleague (didn't get his name), who also was not wearing anything that identified him as a Jiffy Lube employee. I said hi I'm back is it ok? Javian answered what do you mean? I said you told me to Come back before when you were alone. He then says that he never did that and that I must be crazy! I asked to speak to the colleague instead and they both came closer to me and reeked of weed and alcohol. A car pulled in behind me, and smelled this as well, as the driver looked at me and held her nose and made her hand into a drinking gesture. The colleague said it's all Good, I can change your oil. I said not thanks I need to go. The car behind me had already left. I hope whoever owns this franchise is aware of how unprofessional and rude Javian is...and that he and the other guy work impaired. Been taking my old beater work Honda here for years and they have been reliable, friendly and most importantly- honest. They've done all my basic maintenance, usually just brake pad, battery, inspection related. Always done in a relatively timely fashion for a fair price. Never once tried to upsell me on extra work in order to pass inspection. My most recent encounter with them, which is what really motivated me to leave this review, was especially appreciated. I don't know much about cars, but there was something a little stiff with my steering, and I thought maybe the power steering or some belt was going. Took it into East Setauket Auto and asked them to take a look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They could've told me numerous things and hit me with some multi hundred dollar charges, but instead they looked at it and honestly told me nothing was wrong with it and no work needed to be done so I picked my car up no charge. That type of honesty is priceless and will recommend this auto shop to everyone who needs one. Great people here. On top of all that the place just looks cool- convenient location in a nice area- retro, old school style office and shop, feels like going back in time in a good way.

The cost was very reasonable and certainly better than I expected. My car is a 1998 model with 153,000 miles on it. He proceeded to help me put the tire back and make sure it was ok to drive on. He stayed late when he didn't have to and did not charge me for the service, he wouldn't even accept money after I tried to still pay him. He didn't have to stay late or choose to help me when he could've been on his way home. The owner chose to be kind, chose to help me and I greatly appreciate it. This location helped a lot as I had gotten an oil change at Walmart and they cracked my oil pan but didn't want to take the blame for it so instead I just came here. They were super quick about it and while I waited the manager helped me find some other things I needed while I was there. If you go in just ask for Gino and he'll make sure to help you with whatever you need. Prices are I think company ran so unfortunately I know people say they are expensive but I'd rather go here than Walmart again.
