Very disappointed. Hardly any meat on tacos flavor wasn't there, and hardly any condiments on top,(cilantro onion). Particularly during this social distancing time, they should practice better precautions. There were about ten people in this crowded restaurant some with masks some without. I waited outside for my food (about 35 mins longer than they initially said my order would be ready) and went back in twice to check if my order was ready. First time here. I ordered their tripas (beef intestine) and lengua which is the tongue. I enjoyed both especially the lengua which I thought was cooked perfectly. The tripas was a little too much on the crunchy side so I know next time to ask them not to cook it that long. I like my tripas more soft and crunchy. They also have a side bar where you can help yourself to the salsa, sliced cabbage, jalapeno, green and red chili sauce, cilantro, onion and lime. The prices are reasonable too. read more

Great customer service. The chili verde burrito was bland and the rice was super crunchy.

Bad service and food. Ordered an hour before closing, had the door locked and when I told them it was for pick up they sent me away until I called to say I was there for the food. The burrito didn't have avocado or sour cream. The meat tasted funny. And my nachos were 8$ and all they gave me was some chips and cheese.... that wasn't even melted it was just on there. This was my first time visiting Javi's and i saw a sign on the sidewalk for their $5.00 special for a burger, fries, and a drink (Just make sure you go in the Javi's Donuts side of the place not the Javi's Tacos side. I went to the taco side and confused the people working at the counter and after they figured what i was talking about i was told go to the other side to order what i wanted) I order the special and after some time passed i get the burger and fries. You get a good amount of fries which were the best fried I've had. The fries have a nice crispy crunch when you bit into them. The burger was good (not the best, but good) the only thing i didn't like was the burger patty was thin, could've been a bit thicker. Besides the thin burger patty I would get this special again the next time i'm around the downtown area. read more

These tacos are made to order, so good and every Tuesday they are $1! Yumm and a beer bottle $2 rather than your average $5! I rather pay $2 !! I gave 4 stars because the food is really good, i had the chile verde fries, and my husband had asada burrito we really like it but the servece wasn't that good we felt constantly pressure by the staff they close at 10 and we where there at 8:50pm. Open Trashcan Full of FECES! We mostly go to the Mooney location but we where downtown and wanted to have a quick bite. There where about three orders ahead of ours but it took 20 mins for our food, the Tacos came out Cold, this particular location Never has the Javi's Pale Ale, and when my four year asked to used the bathroom we went in to find 3 signs that read "Do Not Flush Paper Towels," next to an Open Trashcan Full of napkins with Urine and FECES all over them. My question is how can Javi's have two locations and no one can run out and buy some Toilet Paper?! Because of the signs and the fact the some where slightly yellow around the edges I guess this is "Normal"? from the south store----- Lame food! I've had better. Fish tacos were over done in the deep fryer and seasoned with way too much cayenne, couldn't taste the fish for the burn. The chile verde fries was equally lame, under cooked fries which were just dipped into the deep fryer for about 2 minutes to thaw out and barely covered with chile verde which the meat was rendered with too much fat. FOOD POISONING. We went to the Javi's on Court St yesterday 2/8/16. I ordered a Bean, cheese & rice burrito and my boyfriend had an Asada burrito. He got sick and I didn't, so it had to be the meat. So, after reading some reviews my husband and I decided to try this place out. We probably won't be coming back. My husband ordered 4 different kinds of tacos and each were very bland. I had the asada fries which was a $6 combo, it came with a soda. I feel like I over paid for my meal. My asada was pretty dry and it was missing something. Flavor! That's it! Came on a Sunday in the early afternoon. I ordered just a simple bean and cheese burrito and hubby ordered a Supreme burrito to go. We took our order right home and ate it. My burrito was just ok. The ingredients were decent but for being just made, the tortilla nor the beans were hot enough to melt the cheese. Not a huge deal I know, but I've had better.
