    Bullet naan

Nicely decorated inside. There's a huge bar inside, which was unexpected. Menu is on a tablet but you order with the server. I like that the menu has pictures of everything. Service was friendly and sufficient. We ordered medium spice and it was perfectly on the edge of too spicy but not over it. Chicken vindaloo had a lot more meat in it than many restaurants give. It's often more a bowl of sauce. KTM chicken had a really nice flavor. I'd get either again. Also the bullet and garlic naans were both very tasty. There's plenty on the menu to try and I would definitely go again.

Jax Spice is hands-down one of if not the best Indian restaurants in town. The staff and service is amazing and the food is just an explosion of taste and textures. Their medium curries are very good with sufficient heat, but not so much that it overpowers the flavor. Every time I go, I'm convinced that I will try something different but I usually wind up getting either the red curry or the tikka masala. They're both very good. Even if you don't live close to the beaches, it's worth the drive out there to have excellent Indian food.

I've tried many Indian restaurants and decided to try this one located in Jacksonville beach. Unfortunately this one was not worth it. We ordered their meat balls, samosa chaat and paneer tikka for appetizers. First the service was slow. We were seated right away but kept waiting for our server to take our order. The appetizers were okay. Nothing to brag about. We also tried their chicken Briyani. The chicken was boneless. They do not have authentic Briyani with bone in chicken. This tasted more like pulao than Briyani. Not all that. We also tried their saag paneer, which I didn't like. Saag could be better in terms of flavor. The location of this restaurant is good and they have full bar too. But they need to work on their service and food flavor. Their prices are also high. Our total was $155 for three appetizers and two entrees. See photos below.

We sampled some food from Jaxspice at a recent Yelp event and decided we had to go if we were ever close by. This weekend, we had our chance. Jaxspice is simply an amazing dining experience. The interior is beautiful, serene. The service was excellent, the food impeccable. I also had a quick glimpse of the kitchen and it was the cleanest I think I've seen. Great drink selections, even better food. We got the fried vegetable appetizer along with the chicken 65. Both fantastic. The sauces were the perfect accent as well. We also split an order of Biryani. The rice, perfect, amazing flavor and you can choose your own spice level. We went 3 out of 6. We couldn't finish everything. The portions are immense. Our waiter was fantastic, pleasant, attentive, he was definitely a positive part of our experience. We'll be back whenever we're at the beach and I can't wait for their new location to open in the Town Center. I highly recommend Jaxspice. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing experience.

Friends took me to Jaxspice on a brief visit. Great Indian fare! I highly recommend the Samosa Chaat and the chettinad, both excellent. The na'an is everything it should be, warm and garlicky in this case. The only bone I would pick is with spice level. The server offered spice n a 1 to 6 scale, my dining partners chose "2" for their butter chicken and i chose "4" for the chettinad. I would expect 6 to be a blow your head off experience, so 4 should carry a good amount of spice. I would call the 4 mild, and the 2 unspiced. Still, the flavors were all good, the service was great, and the atmosphere enjoyable. Three entrees, two appetizers, two breads, no drinks -- $122 with tip. Worth a trip back.

Monday night pretty good night to attend - not too busy. Service was good. Overall the food was tasty and the chicken was tender and quality overall. Everything was spiced nice. Cheese naan was good.

The Tikki Masala was superb. The butter was blended in smoothly with the rest of the spices. Truly felt like a full home cooked meal experience. Was a perfect way to start the weekend. The service was okay, I didnt get my servers name but he never checked on me until the end when it was time to close out. It also took me five minutes for me to be seated because there was no host/hostess. The food definitely made up for the service, I believe they'll be better next time around.

I truly don't know why I hadn't visited Jax Spice before because it is so so good! Their menu is large enough to have something for everyone, the ambiance is great and the food comes out timely. We went as a group of 6 and shared quite a bit and I highly recommend that to get a taste of all they have to offer. Warning the chili pepper bullet naan is level 4-5 Spicy, delicious but holy moly spicy! Their cheese naan and garlic naan, amazing. As a table we shared kadhai curry, samosa chat, gobi Manchurian, chicken 65, tikka Marsala and more. Everything was delicious, hot and large portions.

JaxSpice was recommended to me by a coworker and I'm so glad they did. When I walked in and could smell all the spices and seasonings I knew it was going to be good. The menu is a digital tablet which made it easy to read and see pictures of all the dishes. I'm a huge fan of dumplings so I was excited to try the chicken momo which did not disappoint. They were SO good! They offer a heat level of 1 to 6 on their dishes. I ordered a 3 with my chicken noodles and it made me sweat. It was packed full of flavor. Our waiter was so attentive and I think he noticed how slow I was eating my fish and asked if it was too hot for me. I told him it was ok because it tasted so good. He continued to check in and bring water. He also brought a complimentary bowl of rice. For dessert I wanted to try the tiramisu. It wasn't as good as the rest of our meal. It was frozen which was a little bit of a let down but it tasted good and balanced the heat from our entrees. The only other issue I had was that it was very warm in the restaurant but luckily my table was under a ceiling fan that helped but the ice melted in our drinks quickly and covered our table with sweat from our glasses. This is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. I highly recommend trying JaxSpice though if you want a lot of flavor and spice to perk up your day.

Wow! Every time we order JaxSpice it is a reminder of how delicious the food is! We typically order take out and eat at home. We are always so happy to get the garlic naan to go with our saag paneer and chicken tikki masala! If we have guests we may also order the chicken korma or butter chicken as well! They are so good! It's very consistent in quality, spice, and delicious flavor! They have a little Togo stand inside to make it easy to grab and go!

What a great find in Jaxbeach. Just a short block from the ocean. What could be better than delicious Indian food near the beach? My husband and I are here visiting with friends that live in Jacksonville. They recently found this gem and told us about it. We were excited to go try it. When we walked in, we were greeted by Ryan. He seated us and we proceeded to tell him ALL about our food restrictions and preferences. My husband and I are vegan, and our friends eat gluten free and sugar fee. Ryan said:"No Problem"! He immediately made recommendations for each of us and no one was disappointed. The appetizer was out before we knew it. It was hot and crunchy and not at all greasy. We all loved it. For main dishes we tried 4 different entrees. One was tandoori chicken, a chickpea in a yogurt sauce, Baigen bharta, a spinach and tofu dish and an amazing spinach dish. Each was superb. As we were enjoying our food Ryan wanted us to taste one more dish and brought us a different spinach dish with chicken peas. That too was amazing. Once we were done we realized that we would have enough for another meal. Ryan helped us pack it all up and also added more rice so we surely would all have plenty to eat for another meal. Don't miss this great find near the beach. They also have a 2nd location in St John's. Can't wait to visit them there too. The restaurant is large and they do take reservations. You can also book on open table. They also have a full liquor license.

Amazing food and service from start to finish. After sampling food at the Yelp Tour back in May, we finally schedule time to dine at the Jax beach location. The restaurant is right in the main area of Jacksonville Beach so finding parking might be the only challenge, depending on the time of day. We found 2 hour parking close by which made for a quick walk to the restaurant. We were greeted immediately and provided tablets to view the menu. Our waters were filled immediately and continuously throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean and spacious. Our server was wonderful, kind, attentive and helpful. We ordered two appetizers to start, Chicken 65 and Veg Pakora. We chose the Mild+ heat for the chicken which was delicious but we would probably would go one higher on the heat. I was cautious and really enjoyed the heat level but my husband would prefer a little more heat. The mixed vegetable crispy & crunchy fritters were great and even better with the sauces. For our entree, we chose the shrimp + vegetable Biryani combination and a side of roti. So much delicious food and plenty of leftovers to take home. We asked about the new location set to open at the town center and we're excited to hear this location closer to home should be open sometime this summer. We won't wait that long to eat at one of the other two locations again soon, it's worth the drive!

Since I didn't have any friends in Jacksonville, I leaned on yelp for everything from getting my nails done to of course eating some good food. I passed this place several times while leaving the St. John's town center. Because of their hours of operation and my schedule, I was not able to make it there for their lunch buffet. Since I was by myself, I opted to sit at the bar. Let me say, the place was absolutely spotless! And I loved the decor! Everyone from the hostess, to the runners, to the bartenders were all very friendly. For the price of what I paid for wine, I definitely had a slight buzz from the amount that was given! I opted to order the tandoori chicken with rice with a side of naan. The non-laced a little bit of salt, but I see that this is a trend in the Jacksonville area. But no worries, it was still fresh and did it job. The chicken was nice and tender, and I left feeling full. Reheated my chicken and rice two days later, and the quality and taste was still there! I highly recommend this place for the amazing customer service and the quality of food.

The chicken was very juicy and tender. The lamb chop was delicious and so was the shrimp. Everything was flavorful, but it wasn't over seasoned. It also was not spicy at all and typically they ask us what we would like our spice level at Indian restaurants and we would normally pick a very high spice level so for us it lacked the spice kick that we enjoy with Indian food. We also got the garlic cheese naan - me personally, I'm not a fan of Naan that's oily and the cheese made the Naan soggy in the middle and it was a bit too greasy from my liking, but my husband thought it was delicious They have several different beers and wines to choose from. Their Garlic Naan was thinner then I was used too but still good. The Chili Cheese Naan was great and I will be getting this every time it is offered. I ended up getting by go to. The Lamb Korma spicy level hot. This again was a great price $19 or $20. Most Indian places have it $5 or $7 more for Lamb. This was a nice big serving and it was loaded with tender chunks of Lamb. I will say it was for sure a more mild spice for sure not hot and the Korma Curry was flavorful but not as much as I have had. I would for sure come back because prices are very good friendly staff and so many options.

When I did a business culture treat at Hyderabad India back in 2014, this was the food right outside the hotel and Persis Indian Grill takes me back to that delicious memory and we are blessed to have it here at Baymeadows as it is very consistent with flavor and the service is always great. The servings are very gracious that you most likely will take some to go. Oh, and just be sure to address the server about the spice level as a medium can be a bit too hot for some. At a mild spicy as a start would be ideal and you work your tolerance along the next visit, so that you can enjoy your meal :)

Great place for a meal close to the Sheraton Jacksonville…read more When I travel, I like to find cuisines that I cannot find at home. When I realized that there was a restaurant serving Nepalese (and Indian) food, I had to go! I went on a Monday evening. The place was maybe 10% full. Huge place, very bright and airy. Some TVs over the bar (they have a full bar). No reservations needed on Mondays, for sure. I started with a Nepalese beer. It was fine. I got the chicken momos, the samosas, and the daal with rice. Portion sizes were huge, and the food tasted fresh and well-seasoned. I got way too much food for one person, but I wanted to taste a range on things. I wish I had a bigger stomach! Service was really lovely and attentive.

I also got an order of butter naan (super fresh and folds). My entree was the standard butter chicken and rice. Didn't wait long for my table or my food. The host sat me and my waiter was right there to answer any questions and take my order. I am going back soon to try some other entrees. My soul was fed and that I don't get that a lot when dining out.
