Really good ribs. Generous portion sizes; even more so relative to the price. Good spot overall.

With a change of management we needed to see if there were any changes to out local Chinese joint…read more We were glad to see that our regular take out was none the worse, but also none the better. Let me expound. I have a tendency to gauge Chinese restaurants by their hot & sour soup; unfortunately this was mediocre, as it was neither hot (lacking white pepper) nor sour (a pronounced absence of vinegar). Would it be difficult to add some sesame oil and perhaps a taste of pork for flavor? We did appreciate the abundance of firm tofu strips. Next up was a spicy beef and onions in a rich curry sauce. This was somewhat redeeming from our lackluster soup. Our last dish was a fresh and savory moo shoo pork; the pancakes were fresh and rollable, the cabbage nice and crunchy, the sauce a tad sweet, but overall satisfying. The dishes were abundant, the prices maintained and the promise of furture dishes will hopefully satisfy our Chinese food carvings. Perhaps new management will read this, heed advice and modify as more feedback is offered.

Generals Tso's chicken was giant golf ball pieces of chicken with a gummy batter that tasted like carnival funnel cake with only 2 small pieces of Broccoli . We asked for it extra crispy and it was gummy and definitely not crispy. The scallion pancakes had hardly and scallion and were literally paper thin and zero flavor. The prices are in line with most other Chinese restaurants however even if it were free we wouldn't go back. Sad to say the search goes on for good chinese food in the area... :( This was more like Panda Express than a neighborhood restaurant..

Once I let that go and ordered one and experienced all its gloriousness, I was hooked! This is a chicken sandwich with an Asian spin. Chicken is moist and flavorful, as if it had been marinated before placing the delectable fried coating on. The homemade sauce served with it takes it over the top. And those pickles? They are one of a kind. You NEED to try this sandwich! If you are looking for traditional Chinese American takeout, this is not it. The cuisine at Mama Chan's is many steps above (not that I dont enjoy traditional takeout, i do!) The food at Mama Chan's is like being at a friend's family feast where their mom is a fabulous cook! The Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup is like a warm hug on a chilly day, soooo tasty and satisfying. On a day when I was not feeling so well, this did the trick! Can I tell you that I dream about this soup?! It's THAT good. We also tried the Sesame Chicken (which is served as tenders---big juicy pieces!) with a great rice on the side, and the Steamed Pork Dumplings, which were exquisite. The dumplings are made by hand and are a little on the pricey side, but they are of good quality and you are definitely getting what you pay for. The dipping sauce that comes with them was great. Rounding out the dishes we have tried over a few visits are the Fried rice and Garlic Udon, both were very tasty amd enjoyable. On my next visit I want to try the Braised Pork Belly Bowl and the Sautéed Sting Beans. Although all my orders were takeout, I would like to comment that service was exceptional. The owner, Diana, greets you with a smile and is very personable. Food is prepared as promised, on time, and with care. They even provide utensils. And this is just one of the many reasons I am a returning customer. Did I forget to mention the Beef Noodle Soup?! You need this soup! Go try Mama Chan's!!! :)

There was only one person working the dining room, taking orders, bringing tea and water (no alcohol license), answering the phone, handling takeout orders, etc. He was obviously stretched very thin and it was next to impossible to get his attention if we needed anything. Out entrees were very good (Mongolian Beef, Triple Delight, Kung Pao Shrimp, and a Spicy Beef dish. The appetizers and soup were just average takeout quality, with the wonton soup being especially disappointing. I asked for a Coke, and a can was put on the table. I had to request a glass and ice. Zero ambiance. Stark white walls, nothing on them, plastic tablecloths, and we were given plastic forks to eat our canned pineapple dessert. I would order takeout from here, but I would not bother to dine in.
