It has gotten so bad. Leaving dog poop is illegal in Westminster and people should be fined but there's no one enforcing it and parks crews don't clean it up either.

Still even on the weekends the park never seems to be over crowded. Even in the heat of summer the water features next to the playground are in use but not swarmed. The sand volleyball is great but bring your own net and wear shoes because the sand is mostly just small rocks. The grass is always well kept and only sucks when they aerate and all the plugs are laying around waiting to be stepped on. But overall I love this park! The view is currently getting taken over by a new build apartment complex but I guess it was only a matter of time.

I came yesterday for birdwatching during sunset, and it was such a good experience! We saw a variety of birds, including waterfowl, hawks, sparrows, blackbirds, and I think even saw a golden eagle. The trail is gravel and goes all the way around the lake. It's very well-maintained. There is a small boardwalk that takes you close to the water as well. This is a great place to go on a short walk with family, or you could grab a drink and come with a friend to catch up. I so many people walking their dogs, and it seemed like a good trail for pets. There are two playgrounds around the lake and a tennis court. We passed friendly folks and families. The trail has many homes nearby and is located in a residential area. I parked on the street, and one of the neighborhoods and parking was easy to find. I'll definitely come back again for some outdoor exercise!
