You say in your response that the charge for staff is included in the price for a 4 hour event. Yet a separate charge for staff was added onto the event. I don't think you should respond with false information and price options. That's not right to do as a business. When a fee for a staffed buffet per person is shown that is what the fee should be. Not blasting people with additional fees and nickel and diming a customer. I have no problem with your company wanting to discuss all this miss information with me. For cocktail hour, I unfortunately, did not get to the baja grazing table before it was ravaged by my guests hahaha, but everyone I spoke to regarding the grazing table said it was amazing! I ordered food for an Medical event last night for the Drs I work for. All Huntington Beach community. We paid 477.00 and I will include a picture of what we got. This was embarrassing. I called 10 minutes after the drop off and they were closed. I called the emergency line to help with messed up orders or missing food items - They never called me back. They said John would call back. It's the next day and no call no email. So the "food emergency line" doesn't work. I hope this is huge mistake and they sent the wrong catering or the driver got hungry. We paid the deliver fee and surcharge - they just dropped the food and left. No napkins. No plates. No utensils. Nothing. I didn't see all the food until They left. And then no answer. This is unbelievable. I'm waiting for a call back and I will update accordingly. read more

I had a small birthday brunch this month and had it catered by LAFB. They went above and beyond my expectations! Everything was absolutely incredible. They came and set up the tables and made the food look picture-perfect! And the food tasted even better than it looked. My daughter encouraged me to try LAFB during the pandemic as I am tired of cooking. What a goldmine! We ordered the treat of Lobster Rolls for our initial meal. Goodness! They were delicious. So we ventured forth into their weekly menu. Every meal we've ordered has been delicious, presented wonderfully, delivered on time and we are both so pleased. The meatloaf was the best since my grandma's meatloaf was served....The Enchiladas Ranchero were delicious and every other meal we have had certainly bypassed all of our expectations. The delivery people are courteous and friendly and are always on time! For us, one meal makes a serving for each of us and once in a while, we'll even have some left for the next day. Kristen was a pleasure to work with, establishing the menu and figuring out what we needed to host that many in our home. She understood what I wanted and always responded quickly to any concerns or questions. On the day of the event, Aly and her crew were fantastic! The set-up and service were perfect, as well as the clean-up afterward. They took the time to package the leftovers and mark what was in each container. The "hit" of the day was the food. More than half of our guests made it a point to comment on how good the food was. The shrimp skewers, empanadas, and brie bites seemed to be everyone's favorite. Outstanding catering company, it was truly love at first bite, we had them cater our holiday party on 12/02/22 and all I can say it was outstanding, from the food to the staff and the decoration they brought were all AMAZING, matched the theme and the vibe we had already had. Food was fresh and they pulled off feeding all the 84 employees' hor d'ouvres, main courses that include prime rib and lobster as well as other main dish options with sides and dessert fast and no one was left wanting for anything. Love at First Bite was such an incredible find! After exploring five or six other places that came back out of budget, I called Love at First Bite on a whim. From the beginning they were helpful. I live out of state so they served a sample meal to my parents when we requested to try the food. My mom fell in love immediately and Meredith helped my mom break down the menu, find other vendors, give her advice on beverage services, dance floors, and porta-pottys and just gave my mom so much peace of mind in the whole process. Meredith was also so responsive and helpful throughout the proposals and planning. We had been let down by other companies who just stopped contacting us or not sending revisions in a timely manner. But Love at First Bite had an open correspondence from the beginning and checked in with us at each deadline. Not only that, but the food was so good. We had it in our head that we would do most of the work but I'm so glad we left it in the hands of the pros at Love at First bite. They set out fruit and vegetable platters as well as charcuterie boards for the cocktail hour. For the main course we ordered the kebabs but chose the baked potato bar from another menu as the side that they had no problem doing. They also helped one of my dreams come true by setting up a late night macaroni bar that all of my guests are STILL talking about.
