Since it's quite loud inside it was difficult to communicate about our selections, but service was friendly. Cheesecake was good, lemon bar too sweet for my liking, pumpkin bread ...simply AMAZING, worth a trip just for it. Definitely appreciative for the availability of gluten free treats, even with a limited selection.

Review #933 2025-112…read more Cake/Pastry Order: Red Velvet Cake (red velvet layers filled with cream cheese frosting & iced with european vanilla buttercream), Banana Cream Tart (crispy vanilla tart, bananas, vanilla custard, whipped cream topping), Lemon Blueberry Tart (lemon-infused cream, blueberries, lemon-flavored shortbread), Smack Pie (chocolate ganache, marshmallows, salted caramel & salted peanuts topping, graham cracker crust) Finishing this draft from pandemic lockdown with an old review format. Cuisine: Bakery, with select gluten-free desserts. Price: Affordable/cheap. Restrooms: Not sure since indoor dining isn't available. Parking: Large private lot though there's plenty of businesses that it might be busy during lunch/dinner rush. Atmosphere/Service: Casual; polite & efficient service. NOTE: Restaurant has a website & orders can be placed online, though no menu pics for point of reference. Sinners for decadent desserts & saints for gluten-free delights... Sinners & Saints Desserts offers a splurge for a luscious dessert, yet scrumptious for those that need gluten-free treats. Be mindful that their kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free one, but precautions are taken to minimize cross contamination. I used to work in the area & came across this bakery, but never got around to trying them out. Since my daughter's birthday was coming up, I thought about trying them out since their desserts were beautifully displayed... they should taste good, right? I ordered the current favorite flavor: red velvet, & asked if they could decorate it with pink flowers & birthday message in red. The cake looks plain with just 3 pink roses, but the birthday cursive was pretty good; however, for the price, it wasn't worth eating a super dry cake. Our family of 4 barely ate 1/3, & tried giving it away to our neighbors, who were also unimpressed. The Smack Pie was supposedly a decadent chocolate lover's sinful treat. It was meh... the ganache wasn't silky-smooth but did taste fudgy, the caramel was hard, & the peanuts were stale. We did enjoy the Banana Cream & Lemon Blueberry Tarts to offset the very dry birthday cake. Luckily, I bought these to compensate for the cake so the birthday girl was happy in the end. Sinners & Saints Desserts sounds like a deliciously tempting bakery but some of their goods miss the mark. I don't think I'll be purposely sinning here much. Recommended: Lemon Blueberry & Banana Cream Tarts.

She took me here. The place was very clean and tidy with a lot of different types of sweet treats. I was there for one thing only. I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

This is not to say I dislike the Salt & Straw's and Wanderlust's of the world, but they don't hold a candle to the well-rounded experience ice cream-goers are provided with at Ginger's Divine Ice Creams in Culver City. First, the ice cream. Every time I visit with my brother and order my usual (shout-out to the Butterscotch Oreos and Fudge!), I am ALWAYS provided the most generous of scoops, often more than enough to have leftovers for days following. The rich, smooth, and creamy texture paired with the familiar yet refined flavor profiles never fails to leave me satisfied and smiling :) However, my affinity for the sweet treats served at this establishment means NOTHING without the team-members that make Ginger's what it is. The team here is consistently warm and welcoming, never failing to ensure every visit is equal parts helpful and hospitable. Like I wrote above, I often come here with my brother, but it's the team and their positive vibes that make it feel like home. In closing, this parlor is WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT the best in the West (Los Angeles area), and I won't hesitate to continue supporting this quality establishment

The ice cream is obviously good, but honestly the vibes and the people are what make Ginger's such a gem. And while everyone is just now discovering Salt & Straw (which btw, I've been on since the Abbot Kinney opening days lol)...Ginger's is one of those spots that just feels way more like a neighborhood favorite. I've gone through phases with the flavors too. Billionaire Brownie is a great place to start, but once you become a regular like me, you start getting creative My personal move right now is vanilla with almonds + caramel on top, with a warmed-up brownie on the side. And if I'm taking a break from the brownie...SHEESH. The chocolate chip cookie is so good!! But the biggest thing for me is the staff. Every time I walk through the doors, it genuinely feels like I'm seeing friends. Everybody says what's up, remembers you, jokes around with you..it just feels good being there. Shoutout to Malaika for making my order today!! Got to hear about what she's studying in college too, and I'm genuinely bummed she's leaving in a month And Jeffrey deserves a shoutout too because that dude is hilarious. He's always cracking me up whenever I roll through. The whole team is so dope that I've literally dropped off complimentary Equinox passes for them before and will absolutely do it again. If I REALLY had to nitpick, my only request would be some music around the outdoor seating area. That's literally it. Anyway, I've been here way too many times to not finally leave a review Ginger's is a real gem.

Upon our arrival, I liked the cute setup that they had to offer from the different areas within the shop and the pieces of chocolate history all throughout. So I didn't realize that, coming here, all that was served was versions of dark chocolate hot chocolate, so I was a little bummed, as I love milk chocolate but was still hoping for a sweeter taste, as I chose the lowest percentage of dark chocolate. During our time, we talked a bit to the owner, who was very sweet, and had a chance to learn more about the process and some of the products offered, which is nice to have an insight into their world. Of course, I recognize that this is a small business, and it seemed to be just the owner there, but 3 hot chocolates totaling more than $30 were really a lot more than I would've liked to pay, so I hoped it would be worth it. When we received it after a good minute, though it was just the owner working, so understandable, the hot chocolate was fine, on the smaller side, but thankfully, I ordered it with whipped cream, as it made it a little sweeter.
