District meets the suburbs…read more I've been to the locations on Magazine and Harrison several times but 1st time I have been to this one. This one feels like a chain restaurant (which it now is) and has no real personality being pinned in between a bike shop and a Jersey Mike's inside of strip mall. The kolaches at District are really good. They have a variety of flavors, I usually get a smoked sausage, cheese and jalapeno which is tasty but this time I got a brisket boudin and cream cheese kolache in a collaboration with Gonzo's. This was phenomenal. I also got a regular glazed donut. This was not that good. It's too dense and too thick. I like my glazed donuts to be light and airy; I want it to almost melt in my mouth. All of District's donuts are thick. Most of them are good especially the banana pudding donut. The issue is these aren't really donuts more like cakes or just a dessert. If you are coming to get your order to go this place is fine but if you want to hang out, I prefer the other locations.

The dough is soft, buttery, and rich without being heavy, and the cinnamon-sugar filling is perfectly balanced (sweet but not cloying). You can tell it's made with the same care as their donuts. The icing is generous without drowning the cake, and the traditional Mardi Gras sprinkles add that classic festive touch. It's indulgent, flavorful, and dangerously easy to keep slicing "just one more piece." Also worth noting: it stays moist for days, which is rare for king cake. If you're torn between traditional and over-the-top versions, this is a great middle ground--classic flavor, elevated execution. Easily one of the better king cakes in the city, and definitely worth picking up during the season. Would 100% buy again.

Delicious! Everything is tried was excellent…read more They are individually packaged with makes it super easy to choose what you like, and prices aren't bad at all either. I picked: a large fluffy maple roll. The outside reminded me of a croissant in the best way with some mild maple sweetness and the inside was moist, pillowy, and rich. I heated it up in the oven next day which made it even better. A square coconut roll... crisp and flaky on the outside with the most delightful sweet coconut cream inside and flaked almonds on top. This was my favorite. Will get multiple next time. And a pair of taro rolls. These I was most excited for as I love taro, and they weren't bad at all, but were probably my least favorite of the 3, purely because they had an eggy aftertaste. They weren't overly sweet with a nice smooth taro filling. I also tried a taro milk tea with soy milk. These normally include lavender too, but I asked for mine without. The flavor was off the charts good. Strangely it was nothing like the usual taro drinks I've tried and I couldn't place what I was tasting, but it was rich and creamy and so satisfying. Only thing that bummed me out was that I ordered boba and there wasn't any. :(

I got a cheese bread for about $3 and a tuna sandwich for $5! You can order your drinks at the kiosk or at the counter. And you can bring your items to the counter for them to ring up. The process was pretty easy. It's a nice open space for grabbing a drink and yummy treat. There is no wifi however so it's not the best place to work for the day. Service: Self serve and then pay at the counter Drinks: Lots of different options here Wifi: Unfortunately they don't have this. Parking: There's a small lot in front and signs for parking in the back. Outdoor Seating: None

But here I am today, December 2025 sitting to do some light work, enjoying a Birthday Shake in 50 degree weather... I know not the smartest thing to do but hey a girl wants what she wants when she wants it right? So I stopped in after work for a quick online meeting and have been posted up ever since. I think they close at 7 PM. Definitely enjoying my birthday shake and just taking a minute to take a load off. Bounce back from a hectic day. I love the environment. Most of the seating is booth seats. Therefore, you can be comfortable and you can stretch out and enjoy yourself and relax with a friend or even by yourself. If you don't want to sit in the booth, you can sit at the wood table with two chairs for a more intimate setting. I utilize the app most time when purchasing something here because I'm pretty much always on the go. I love that. I love the option order ahead, access the drive-through or walk up, come on in and pick up your drink at the end of the counter where it says mobile pick up. (Just look up) Haven't had much staff interaction however there's a brunette with curly hair that's most often in the driveway in the morning. She's very friendly and customer friendly. I found pricing to be fair. The free Wi-Fi is not so free. You actually have to purchase something to get the code from Free WiFi, but I get it. Nobody wants anybody just sitting around using their Wi-Fi. It's all about the bandwidth baby. Lol. So make sure when you come in, you order ahead or mosey on up to the register and place a sit down, enter your WiFi code into your browser and be productive. Oh, I forgot to mention there are other drinks that you can purchase that are not coffee or tea based. They are energy drinks. There is orange juice, apple juice, as well as there are things for you to nosh on like Hubig's pie, cookies, brownies, avocado toast, cake pops and the like. Last thing I forgot to mention is there are benefits to your purchases. The more purchases you accumulate the more reward points you get and the more free stuff that you can redeem with those points. So make sure that you purchase in the app or in the store utilizing your phone number and check your points.

The space itself lacks a little character when it comes to the interior design and ambiance for being in New Orleans. It's more like mainstream trendy coffee shop style rather especially cozy or comforting. There are two outdoor tables. The inside is pretty large which is nice, not too crowded either. Their food case could also use some attention (things like the biscuits being displayed cold make them look almost like pretend food and an empty case can be a little off-putting visually.) That being said, the service and the quality of their espresso and matcha drinks make up for it.

The look of the place is very welcoming and apparently I'm late to the party because the line was long. Only thing, there were only 2 workers so it moved a little on the slower side. Also, they get cool points for the cute little reading nook area. I ordered the white chocolate matcha with oat milk. The matcha itself is high quality. Idk. You can just tell. Nice and bright, beautiful green matcha. The flavor is great. My problem was, that's all I could taste was the might. Almost forgot there was chocolate in there because I couldn't taste it at all but I watched the barista put it in the cup and it wasn't very sweet. Still a great matcha by itself. I'd definitely go back because I was eyeing the lavender matcha. Besides the lack of chocolate flavor and the wait time this is a nice coffee shop and definitely worth visiting.
