I contacted him in the spring to let him know I was still interested, but didn't have the money then and I would contact him later on when I did. A couple months later in the summer I emailed him to schedule an appointment for the fall. When I did this, he then quoted me a much higher price than he did in the winter, and said he needed to be paid all of it up front. I did not have the money to do this, so I said "Unfortunately I don't think I can afford it right now. I'm heading back to school in September, and thought I would have the extra funds but it's looking like I won't. I don't mean to waste your time. I hope you will be available in a couple of years when I finish and am working in a field where I will be more financially stable." His response was "I appreciate your honesty, but the fact is you did cause me to waste valuable time and effort responding to your on and off again quest to get your TVs calibrated. That's why I insisted on a pre-appointment deposit because I was very concerned about you changing your mind. I do wish you well and hope that you achieve financial stability." I found this reply to be rather rude and hypocritical considering he was the one who initially cancelled our original meeting, and costed me 100 dollars on my phone bill.
