I got a gel manicure and pedicure, it was done very poorly and when I told the gentleman about it he said he could do anything about it. He then proceeds to ask me if I was going to tip with credit card or cash, I don't think i have to tip for a poor job, I have me him 3$. Do not go here, u less you don't mind a sloppy job. read more

I'm giving them two stars because they had availability for me when I wanted a walk in appointment. I was told over the phone 20 minutes prior to my walk-in for a gel mani that a gel manicure was $25.00, so I decided to go. I was charged $35.00. The nail tech got gel polish all over my fingers, and didn't file my nail edges smooth or even have me wash my hands at any point. I'm now left with fingertips covered in gel polish. If you want to leave without polish on your skin, try somewhere else. I'm really disappointed. read more

After reading the last two 1-star review's it is clear to me that these people should seek some serious help. I have been going to Eva and her husband for over two years now and so has my daughter. I go twice a month and every time we walk in, we are greeted by our names, and Eva and her husband always have smiles on their faces. Eva does amazing nails and her husband does a great job with pedicures!! The have always used sterile instruments and I've personally watched them clean their pedicure bowls after each client. So stating any different is just childish.Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and if anyone has ever asked for a full set with design, you know you're looking at $80 to $100 dollars, especially when it's done well. The comments below truly disgust me. Never would Eva or her husband hold someone "hostage" or "kidnap" them due to non-payment. That is an insane comment. Also the horrible comment about not speaking English is wildly ignorant and stating that Eva's husband eyes have no soul, is disgusting. I have personally reported those comments and I'd appreciate others who have been to Kathy's to do the same. I have nothing but appreciation for them and the art they create. They are WONDERFUL people and it makes me sad to see people writing reviews with such hate. Next time (girl below) go somewhere else if the "vibe" was off from the beginning. Also, educate yourself more when you speak on behalf of people's language barriers and accusations that can actually in turn, get you into a lot of legal trouble. read more

I am a Licensed Manicurist myself so I know when people are Hygienic and Skilled. They are Both. I always get the Deluxe Pedicure with a Gel Add on and they last for months until they are grown out. I also had Ava do my Beautiful Bridal Set for my Wedding this past April and they lasted almost a month looking pristine. I am so impressed with her work. I have short nail beds and usually my French never look delicate and feminine and she made it happen. 100% Recommend. I hate to say it, but my most recent experience at Kathy Nails was horrendous. I used to go years ago and don't remember ever having a bad experience, so they must have really gone downhill since then. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how cluttered with all kinds of junk the space was. I tried to look past that as best as I could, and that actually proved easy to do once my dip powder manicure began because it was by far the most PAINFUL manicure I'd ever received. I think the tech just had the power turned up way too high on the tool he was using to remove the powder I already had on my nails because it BURNED so bad--it was truly excruciating; I'd never experienced that sensation while having my nails done. I told him, and he turned it down, but it still burned a bit. He also managed to cut my fingers multiple times. I had several bleeding cuts on my fingers, and he did not even apologize. Plus, I asked him to cut my very long nails down a bit, and he cut them SUPER short. He gave me a gel pedicure afterwards, and that was fine. That manicure was definitely the worst, though. While English isn't their first language, they do everything to create a positive experience from warmly greeting you when you walk in to providing a detailed menu of services, add ons & choices, they guide you through & you simply say yes or no to things. I always get the same pedicure package so they have everything ready to go for me so I don't even have to ask. Paying attention to the details & caring about the services you provide are signs of a great business. Just because there's a language barrier doesn't mean you can't be successful. Hard to believe the positive comments are genuine. I won't be back. My nails look like I did it myself. The pedicure was...a foot soak in Luke warm water. Manicure was slapping on some paint...they both tried hard talking me in to gel nails. She billed me before my nails were done and insisted a few times on the tip. The water used to soak my nails was cold and I asked for warm water he said no! No hand massage and they did not have the color I chose, I picked another one and did not have that either. Hands down the worst mani-pedi I have ever had. I don't think the tools were sterilized. She pulled them out of a basket full of other stuff. The woman doing my nails had sniffles and kept touching her nose. She did the bare minimum. My nails are short and I didn't want polish. I just wanted them clean up. She stuck my fingers in a shallow bowl of luke warm water for a few seconds. The cuticles did not soften up and my nails did not even get clean. I still have dead skin around all my cuticles. She basically did nothing except paint my toes and charged my 50 bucks. Never again :( read more

I never write bad reviews no matter how bad something may be but this is truly something else. My appointment was at 11 and I showed up around 10:45 and left at 1pm. My appointment was a little over two hours long and this is what I walked out with. The man doing my nails refused to paint them and kept saying it looked better without the color disregarding the fact that I am the one paying for the service. I'm bleeding on two of my nails and there is glue and acrylic all over my nails. When I requested a refund they denied and said that they would fix them for free but I couldn't get a refund. I called and made an appointment for two pedicures for myself and my daughter. They only did one pedicure at a time . My pedicure was only 15 mins for $30. I was optimistic but unfortunately my experience was a letdown the menu was printed with hand written prices over the printed menu. The place is very eclectic, but rundown. The mail techn didn't even do my cuticles. Shaina this was a shock for the price that you have to pay. I would t recommend this place. Kathy Nail, this is not a good business. We got two regular pedicures and our nails weren't dry the nail polish got messed up, they didn't even cut our cuticles. They did two pedicures in 30 minutes. I went back to get our nails fixed they were closed durring business hours. The lady tech said because I didn't pay for gel pedicure it would take 2-3 hours for regular nail polish to dry. She continued to argue we with about regular pedicure. I asked for our money back and she refused. I asked for the owner and she said that the owner wasn't there. I had the best time here with Ava and her husband Bo. They are so kind and run this business together. I got a compliment on my nails by a man in restaurant in less than two minutes of me sitting down. I got a very fun dip, with gold flakes. I will not go anywhere else!!!
