I've been coming here for 25 years and I think this may be my last time. The last 3 times I came here I was very disappointed yes in how small Ms. Sue has been making her donuts. Here is a blueberry cake donut compared to a donut hole, there is less and less difference. And in the display case, they deceive you. They make large blueberry cake donuts much large which is how they used to make them yet, the donuts you can't see are all these small ones for full price. What's not to like? Over priced,stale donuts, tasted like they were a week old. But the service was ok.

So far I have only tried the jalapeno cheese kolaches and the blueberry cake donuts and both are super good! I love how the blueberry cake donuts aren't heavy but actually very light and fluffy. Its soo good and makes you want to eat like 10 of them! The kolaches are really good too! I want to eat like a million of them hahah It's a cute little neighborhood donut place and the owners are super nice and friendly. I love all donuts: yeast, cake, gourmet, basic - I don't discriminate. The apple fritter was nice and soft. The chocolate donut with sprinkles was average. The small cheese kolache was good. The prices are very reasonable. It was ~$14 for 2 donuts, 3 dozen donut holes and a small kolache. Everything was okay, but nothing spectacular that I need to come back here specifically for any one thing. Being new to the area, I'm going to try the other donut shops around town, but I would consider coming back for the apple fritter. read more

The donuts never really taste fresh here compared to other places. This place used to be OKAY but the last time we went, you could tell she increased the price of the donuts by how much the total was. It was almost double what our total used to be and we always get the same things when we go there. Also after my payment went through she quickly said "ok have a nice day" rushing me out didn't even give me a chance to ask for a receipt which was also really weird, so I knew that she didn't want me to see how much the total of each donut actually was. Love this place. The kolaches are super good and her old fashioned donuts are LITERALLY the best I've had.. I don't know how she does it but they are so soft and pretty much melt in your mouth. Don't expect any customer service though, sometimes you'll catch her on a good day but otherwise nope. They take card with a $5 minimum but clearly prefer cash. Before I could even get back in the car I was highly disappointed with the lady working the register. My chip has been having problems and she made me feel bad for it. She took my food and threw it behind the counter like I wasn't able to pay. I swiped it instead of inserting once and it worked. She had walked away and I was like "hello, it worked?". Dough is not too dry, slightly moist, and glazed well. The shop owner lady is very nice, although she doesn't speak english very well. I went here a few times until today. The owner has a cheap card reading system that didn't like one of my cards. I called my bank and verified it was their system and was told to try it again next time. The female who may be the owner didn't say a word, snatched my donuts from the counter and got an attitude WITH ME about her card reader not working instead of apologizing like a customer service oriented business should. I went and got another card and told her I didn't appreciate what she did because it was disrespectful. She acted like she could care less. I'm not going to assume it was race related because she could just be an asshole but after reading other that's bad business either way. You lost a customer and me and my working Visa card will take our money elsewhere. Go to Donut Palace off of Frankford Rd. They are customer oriented there. read more

Finally got to try this place. It's so close to a few of my friend's apartments tucked on the side of a strip mall. The location isn't great (for exposure), but the donuts make up for it. The owner was very friendly even at 5:30 in the morning on father's day. The donuts were oh so delicately glazed. The glaze crumbles gently as you grasp them to take a bite. Soft, melty goodness best describes the plain glazed donuts. Same goes for all the other varieties, but you can always judge a donut shop by their glazed. I did not try any of the cake varieties or sour cream type this visit. Kolaches are good enough. The breakfast "tacos" look puny, but they definitely posses a jack in the box-esque quality (as in quality is non existent but we still love them anyways). The cheesy goo, egg, and meat mixture hits the spot nicely. If you live in this area, I think it's hard to find those melt in your mouth donuts like this place has. Surprisingly Satisfying! I stopped by just to see if anything was going to be with my visit. Although I wasn't impressed with the very limited offerings, I got 2 Maple Glazed Longjohns. The owner overheard me talking to my mom... then quickly started making suggestions based on our likes & dislikes. Filling our selections with Bavarian Cream was a nice treat that elevated or experience. And his packing a bag of FREE donut holes made us further appreciate the light, airy yumminess of their glazed yeast donuts. We finished our selections as soon as we got seated in the car. So, I got MORE! Very affordable...cheap! But it was difficult ordering enough for the $3 credit card minimum. My LAST visit I was forced to get at least $5 of product. I miss the donuts here, but I oftentimes do not have enough cash for a couple. So... I begrudgingly pass by. This place has good donuts but the woman will literally just invent prices. Every time I come here with my son, the prices are different despite the pricing board never changing and then she will just tack on extra costs. For example, my son and I just bought a small milk, a 20oz Dr Pepper, 2 cheese kolaches and 12 donut holes and t was $11.24. According to the board the milk should be $1.29, the Dr. Pepper $1.99, $1.29 per kolache and .27 per donut hole... so how does that equal $11? When I argue that she's charging too much she says the prices have changed. This has happened almost EVERY TIME I have gone there. Just fair warning! read more

So disappointed to leave a bad review. But before I do, the donuts are good. I got a buttermilk donut which melts in your mouth and my daughter got a glazed donut. This was the best glazed donut I've had in Dallas. It was so moist, a little too much glaze. So why the 1 star review then? I take my daughter for donuts once a month on Sunday. I found this place via Yelp and thought let's go. Upon arrival, the lady greeted us and was nice. We proceeded to sit at a table-there's not much seating available to enjoy our donuts. Granted my daughter was kinda getting stuff everywhere but I cleaned up as much as I could. As we were getting ready to leave, the lady comes out from the back and says, you know MacDonald's is a better place for you both. I was shocked. I paid for my food and your establishment has chairs for a reason, right? Anyways, I hurriedly left so that I wouldn't say anything mean to the lady. It's Asians that work here.
