    I contacted JC Movers on 10/31/2019 to get a price on a move from my storage unit in Midlothian Il and my apartment in Oak Forest, Il and i was quoted $3250.00. When i decided to hire JC Movers, the price escalated to $3800.00 and i excepted. This cliche is so true; "YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET." On Friday, November 22, two movers met me at my storage unit around 11am. One of the movers is really a professional mover. I can tell by how he was handling my belongings. The other one, not so much. Going forward, after they finished at the storage in Midlothian, they came to my apartment and another truck showed up with another driver. One of the movers was half wrapping my leather chair. I had to tell him to wrap the whole chair. He finished wrapping that chair correctly but not the other leather chair. Once they loaded my belongings onto the other truck, the owner, Chandra called. And to my surprise, requested another $1400.00. I paid it. I was told that they were going to transport my belongings to another truck and then bring it to my destination. I never heard of anything so absurd. That is how things get lost. And not to mention broke. And that is just what happened. When i caught my flight that same night, Chandra the owner called me while i was on the plane telling me the truck broke down and they wont deliver my belongings until Sunday, November 24th when they were supposed to drop my belongings off the next day Saturday, November 23rd. It gets worse. Once the movers arrived on Sunday, they marred my cypress wood floors, my leather chair is scratched up, some of my keys to my key board is broken, one of the glass is broke out of my picture collage, my brand new GE stainless steel refrigerator is scratched, they put a dent in my wall because they put my bed on the wrong side of the wall and i think i have another tote missing. And all of my plants were dead! I see why the other moving companies told me they do not move plants. And i ended up with some tennis racks that doesnt belong to me and a part to a refrigerator that doesnt belong to me. That comes from transporting items from one truck to another which is nutty as all get out. Oh, and they used my dolly to bring stuff in and kept my dolly. So once they were finally done, Chandra called for the final payment of $900.00. I was so upset, i told her that it is alot of damage done here. And i told her that i am a business person, so i am going to go ahead and paid her and i expect her to do the right thing in restitution damages. Chandra told me once i get settled in, take pictures and submit a claim. She told me what i wanted to hear. She got the balance of $900.00 and played me like a cheap pair of panty hose. She is very unprofessional, unethical and have made a bad name for herself. Chandra has been avoiding my calls and isnt professional nor woman enough to talk to me. This ordeal transpired November 24th and she had the audacity on Friday, February 21st to email me stating "after careful consideration and looking at the pictures, she will settle for $200.00." How dare she insult me like that! Chandra is really stuck on STUPID, dangling on DUMB and running from SMART if she thinks i am going to settle for that. Im talking over $2,000.00 worth of damages here. And i forgot to mention, i had four to five cases of water that had never been opened and they were scattered all over the back of the truck busted. My pads to the feets of my bakers rack were off and no where on the truck to be found. So that tells me they dragged my bakers rack. And the field supervisor tells me that they drunk the water. Really? Chandra needs to stop being cheap and hire and train her movers. And i even tipped all five movers $15 a piece after they damaged my belongings. And the field supervisor had the nerve to turn up his nose. Ungrateful individual he was. They didnt deserve that except two out of the five. Chandra i am not going to take this lying down. I dont know how you sleep at night. Taking advantage of your customers. GOD do not like ugly. You reap what you sow. If i could give a zero rating, i would. PEOPLE, BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!

    DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!! My move experience with JC Movers deserves negative stars. They were hired as a third party by Zippy Shell (my hired movers). I was not aware until two men showed up in an unmarked box truck, while hitting a telephone pole and then gate turning into my apartment. They were also an hour late. I was told my move would take under two hours since it was only a studio apartment but after two hours had passed my apartment wasn't even close to being in the truck. Fat forward my move went from 10:30-3:30. That's FIVE HOURS! The best part is they didn't even finish. That is when I asked them to leave because of their hostility. Not only did I have to watch my things break before my eyes for multiple hours, I had to deal with the two guys trying to take advantage of me. Blankets were supposed to be supplied with my move. But they decided it was an extra $10 per blanket. They also got annoyed wen I asked if they were going to wrap anything in plastic that was also provided. After a couple hours I got another hold up that they couldn't take apart my bed so they wouldn't be moving it. (I have a basic IKEA bed). Funny part is on their paperwork it has written on top "bring tools." I actually left my apartment and bought tools to help them take it apart (my normal tools were packed since I was moving after all). When I returned with tools, all hell broke loose. That is when they decided they couldn't take the bed because there wasn't any room. What packers don't prepare for fitting someone's bed in the truck? Also, zippy Shell doesn't have a truck pod for studio apartments, only one that also fits one bedrooms so my stuff should have fit just fine. I can only believe that they were lazy and didn't want to try to maneuver the bed frame out so they were going to come up with whatever excuse they could. When they started getting hostile and yelling at me, I asked them to take what they had and leave. It had already been 5 hours. After telling me to f*ck off they stormed out. Once they got down to their truck they realized I had voided out my signature in their paperwork and that's when things got really scary. They pounded on my door and refused to leave while yelling at me. This is the short version on my experience. Please don't use these movers. I had to threaten to call the police and was actually scared for my safety, which is a feeing you never feel in your own house. Zippy Shell has to send a second set of movers to get my remaining items. Although, they showed up hours later, they simply moved the bed without taking. It apart out of the apartment in less than 10 min. They couldn't believe that two guys left the amount they did after wasting 5 hours. They had just come from a third story walk up 2 bedroom apartment where it took them 1.5 hours to move. A week later when my stuff was delivered I wasn't surprised to see many things broken. Boxes were smashed, spilling open and my couch was covered in a film of moving dirt from not being wrapped fully.

    Initially the moving experience started off very good but the last item to be removed from my home was a treadmill. The movers attempted to force my treadmill up the stairs instead of disabling it while in the basement. The guys did not have any tools or drills and my furniture including my son's bed have damage also. We provided pictures (see attached) to the owner and the customer email address more than once and after getting my payment of over $2,000 dollars they have not provided any response to the proof of damage. One of the worst experiences for a customer or any human being is when you as a business don't even acknowledge the individual with any form of communication. Think twice before using this company for your move!!
