2 stars because they're never open. Been there once as I drove through town, but they were closed and it was Saturday. The hours on the website say Saturday open from 4:30-8:00, but the door says otherwise and they were closed. I wanted to try the food and check out the inside. I want to give a huge thank you and shout out to Raven Grill House for being an amazing community supporter. On Friday night with no notice at all they hosted 33 people for a wedding rehearsal dinner. There was a snafu with planning and plans fell through and at the last minute we had no place to do the rehearsal dinner. They graciously told us to come on down and they sat 33 people and did dinner with five minutes notice. words cannot express how deeply thankful I am for their generosity and just being able to roll the punches and do that for us on Friday night. I will be eternally grateful forever. They took a situation that was incredibly stressful and emotional for me and turned it into an experience and situation that was rewarding and delicious and one of the best I've ever had! I really wanted to give this place a higher rating because this place has potential and I am sure the owners are trying, but this place was just so disappointing. First, I will start by saying that the interior is very nicely designed. Very well lit, very inviting. The bar is really cute with a modern marble countertop. For 7pm on a Friday we were surprised at how empty the place was. Then we were even more surprised at how long it took the staff to welcome us, then another few minutes to give us any menus. We understood that there were only two members of the staff working at the moment. But the place was nearly empty and we were the only ones sitting at the bar where the woman behind the bar ignored us for several minutes. When our order was finally taken I was stunned to see bartender grab a mini bottle of Sutter Home and pour it into a wine glass for me. This is a wine that I could get a case of four at the grocery store and here I am getting it served to me at a restaurant at nearly four times the cost. We wanted something quick and small to eat so we ordered their Goat Cheese dip. I like ordering things that are new and different and, well, this was something different. The chips that came with the dip were burnt, under-seasoned, and dry. The dip had a weird and unpleasant grainy texture. The preparation of this dish just seemed like such an after thought. Let's put next to no effort into our dish and over charge for it. Not our favorite thing we have had recently. We really wanted to like this place because we have friends and family that live in Junction City and it would be nice to have a place to go to instead of being cooped up in their homes when we visit. However, as soon as my husband and I walked out we turned to each other and said "We should have gone to Beer Station." I'm hoping that things get better for them. Maybe we will give them one one more try and order something off their lunch menu. read more

Had lunch today and was very happy with the food and service. I had the Cod fish and chips. My wife had the Cod cakes with a side salad. Both meals came out hot and fresh. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing. The owner later came up to us and introduce himself and engaged in a nice conversation about the food and the rehab of the building. Overall, outstanding. I'm glad to yet have another good place to eat in Junction City.... read more

Oh man! I like to think of myself as a lover of food, this my love language being "food." I called in to this place on a whim to surprise the boyfriend with Some warm grub. I had never been here but I remember someone telling me they had wonderful Mac and Cheese (a favorite of mine). I called in and the lovely lady who answered was so kind and personable! I enjoyed the conversation (which is saying a lot since I'm terrified of talking on the phone - I'm a millennial so cut me some slack, k?). I arrived and the food was ready to go! The cashier was also fun and personable as he efficiently helped me with the transaction. On the drive to my boyfriend's place, the food smelled too good not to crack open and try. The Mac and Cheese was quite scrumptious! Creamy with a little sweetness from the Panko. the juxtaposition (extra points for big words) of the creamy noodles and the crunchy panko was spot on. But, boy let me tell you, the peach braised pork tacos were PHENOMENAL. I don't understand how atheists exist in the world when these tacos also exist. They were so rich and juicy and man oh man I about ate all three tacos and lied to my boyfriend about not picking up food. Will definitely go again. We were on our way from Corvallis to Eugene for a show. Planned plenty of time to find a place to eat that was not fast food! This was a pleasant find. Our party had the Mac and cheese (add bacon) and a couple of the grilled sandwiches. Everything tasted great and service was spot on. What a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and a sandwich or burger. Gluten free options, three kinds of Cider on tap in addition to the beer selections, growler fills available too. Lots of brick, high open ceilings, lots of classic wood tables chairs and church style benches, multi dimensional moldings add a crisp clean finish. We are very happy to have this improvement to Junction City. The staff is super attentive, professional and nice. Can't wait to come back. Came in for dinner on a Wednesday at around 530. There was maybe 4 people in total in the place not counting the 1 server and 2 kitchen staff. We had to wait to get our order in, go get our own napkins, silverware and ask for more beverages. The French dip had barely any meat in it and the aujus was thick like gravy, loaded fries had semi cold coagulated cheese sauce. The music was intermittent within the dining room and the one in then kitchen. You could hear both or Led Zepplen was so loud in the dining room you couldn't hear the staff laughing. Another wait staff came in so now 2 and still only 6 in the dining room. We had to ask for our check, waiting until after the waitress ate her food at the bar then had to ask for a copy of our check as it didn't come with one. So overall, disappointed when their are so little choices in a small town. You would think you could nail it. :-( read more

Even the music was **update 11/21 stopped in for lunch. It was busy for a Wednesday, probably 25 people at tables. Waited at the door for 3-5 minutes with no one greeting us. Eventually the lone server yelled across the restaurant to sit wherever we want. I figured it would be slow service with only one server, but after sitting for 20 min without anyone coming to our table we decided to leave. Bummer. Dropping a star from my original review. I used to come to the Raven occasionally back when it was the little dive bar. We came here Friday night to check out the progress of the remodel we were happy to see it was finally open. They have an amazing tap list. By far the best in this little boring town. There is something for everyone! They even have avid blackberry cider on tap. Ive been on a wine kick lately so I just had a glass of merlot. Although the server mentioned a blueberry house made wine. I assumed it would be overly sweet so I didn't try it. For food the salmon was all out. So we chose other things. I had a blue cheese burger and fries and my boyfriend had the steak frites. Our daughter had mac and cheese. My burger was decent way better that I expected and the fries were good. My boyfriend didn't care for his charred chewy steak frites or his side salad that had zero dressing. Service was super slow but our server was extremely nice and apologetic. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other stuff on the menu. My husband and I were looking for a place to eat for our weekly date night now that we are Vegan. I had read the Raven's menu and saw they offered Beyond Burgers (plant based vegan burgers). We were so impressed and glad we went! The chef was able to substitute the Beyond Burger for any of the burgers or sandwiches. I had the regular Beyond Burger, hold the cheese and ayoli, added some bbq sauce and it was great! My hubby substituted the Beyond Burger on one of their chicken sandwich options and it was great too! Chef prepared them to perfection, very juicy and flavorful. They are also offering new house made hummus plates! So nice to have a good vegan/vegetarian option in town! We will definitely be back for another date night! Only 3 other people were there when we went in so not too busy for 1 waitress.Received our food and needed silverware, had to get up and get it ourselves. Ketchup bottle on the table was empty so we grabbed one from the table next to us, it was empty too, grabbed another and it felt empty but had enough! Needed some extra bbq sauce but waitress never came by again to offer drink refills or to ask if we needed anything. She finally brought the check and we waited a while for her to pick it up, we ended up taking up to the bar. This was our 3rd time there and we just keeping hoping the more time they are open the better the service will get. Doesn't seem to be the case. We will try again though since the food is alright and we like the locality of it! read more

Stopped in three days in a row while warranty work was being done on the RV. Each day Ally was our fun and friendly server. She always predicted our next need and filled it before we asked. Super attentive! The red ale was terrific. I had the BLT each day...thick applewood bacon on sourdough...yum! The house fries are amazing and cooked in a gluten free fried. What a magnificent find!! We come to jc one to two times a week for our daughter's rehearsals, normally we just go grab a drink but honestly sitting outside in a freezing tent just sucks. I was so surprised to find the outdoor enclosed patio with the heater and fireplace here, it's was gorgeous and warm. We ordered the raven chicken sandwich and the Mac n cheese, simply put WOW!! The sandwich was fricken delicious, bursting with so much flavor. The Mac was gooey cheese heaven!! We used our tater tots to sop up every drop of cheese in that skillet!! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone I know, my tummy was very happy and satisfied. We told our waitress that we only had an hour til we had to pick up our daughter and she made sure everything was expedited as quick as possible. I am anxious for next weeks rehearsal because I'm looking forward to trying something else. read more
