Took my sport in for routine maintenance and JC's discovered some pretty serious suspension issues. The cat has 100000+ miles on it so wears is to be expected especially the heavy Rangies. I had felt that the car wasn't tracking well but just assumed it was because the snow tires I never took off were very due for replacement. It cost me but not more than I would expect for the level of work performed. The old girl tracks like new again. As someone who has owned 18 Rovers if you think JC is expensive have it serviced at LR Denver work will be half as good at twice the price. I dont know where the bad reviews come from. If I have ever had issues with repairs they are promptly corrected. read more

4.5 Stars (5.0 Work/4.0 Scheduling) I was in 3 times or so over the summer to get my D90 overhauled and hence spent A LOT of money getting it all fixed up. There are are a few annoying things mostly related to scheduling. It is a hassle for me to get down there, catch an Uber either coming or going especially when they couldn't get to the work when scheduled. My Defender is not my primary car, but at one point I had to take my primary car in for work, so I had to come back, to pick up the Defender (so I could drive while my other car was in the shop) as they were not ready to work on it, and then bring it back. Anyway, I get sometimes a job goes long and they miss their time lines but an Uber is $35 each time and kills two hours for me. That being said, I believe their work is great. They did a great job trying to find OEM parts for a vehicle that is nearly 30 years old. Anyway, in my mind the prices are on the high side, but hopefully the work holds and if there is an issue they stand behind it. I hope to take part in one of their Meet Ups one of these times. read more

I recently had my 1998 Defender updated with an upgraded intercooler/radiator from Allisport, wiring work, and brake work. In addition to that, I asked for a full inspection to create a work list on my Defender as I am restoring it. Samantha and Jon were great. They explained everything well and know exactly what needs to be done to keep my Defender on the road. I plan to bring all my future Defender needs to this shop. Great work! read more

Maybe my expectations were unrealistic, but I brought my range rover in for suspension fault service after trying the simple things myself and realizing I needed a specialist that could read fault codes to continue. I had replaced the pump and valves and still had the same issue where the pump would run for a few seconds, and then stop and the Range rover threw a suspension fault. This happened both with the stock pump and the replacement I put in. The diagnostic tech got his head wrapped around the wheel of the connector to the pump not completely clicking shut. Now, this connector has a total of 6 wires. I would assume that a tech that knows these systems would be able to quickly identify which of the 6 wires went where, and if the connector actually connected those 6 wires despite the fact that the connector would not click shut. I spent $371 for the tech to attempt to connect these 6 wires and was asked for more money when those efforts failed. Uh....no, I don't think so. For the money I paid i expected a certain level of expertise that I clearly was not getting. The service manager was snarky and clearly holds himself in very high regard. I cut my losses and picked my range rover up after he sent me a paragraph explanation as to why they could not connect 6 wires that was total BS. The "service" also came with a laundry list of items they would have liked to do for me that totaled considerably more than this Range Rover is worth. My wife and I had a a really good laugh over it. Whatever you guys are smoking down there - may I have some? Update: I bought an icarsoft diagnostic code reader from Amazon for about $150. Once I had the suspension fault code I googled it and found out what my problem was, then fixed it in about 3 minutes. I sure wish I hadn't wasted my time and money at JC's. read more

I've never felt more confident when leaving my vehicle for service. The team at JC's are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly (Seriously, I'm pretty sure these guys could put Chick-fil-A's customer service standards to shame). I love that they don't try and oversell you on things you don't necessarily need and you don't get the feeling that they're just there to take your money and run. They treat their customers in a way that makes you WANT to come back. Unlike taking your LR to a Land Rover dealership, you aren't going to pay big $$$$ and leave feeling unsure about the quality of work being done on your car. So I've been stewing about this for awhile Didn't want to say anything because I like the owner of this place he's on top of it and knows his stuff But the last time I was there the service manager for older cars was a complete jerk till I picked the car up basically told me to get rid of my p38 that it wasn't going to last When I got home On observation they had destroyed my bolts and nuts on my prop shaft and installed it backwards so much for knowledge there was no oil in it because the oil cooler line was loose and the oil had seeped out but all they knew was it had no oil Then the same guy tried to tell me I was wrong about the direction of the prop shaft They are supposed to know but I guess they don't at any rate I was done Won't go back, it's too bad, I would have been a customer for life because it used to be a good experience. but that was the worst! I'm getting older and it's not easy but I'll do it myself before I go through that! Guess they got too big for their britches Adding an update to Jeff because obviously you weren't aware But I was never told anything about any problems except low oil nothing which I did say don't bother my yoke was not replaced and neither was the bolts I got it back with rounded bolts not new ones like I was told and a dent in the floor pan I was so mad I was done Yes I should have called you I know you know your stuff but when you're mad as hell like I was! I was done Apparently what was written in the report was not how it went down with me I'm still stewing about this "obviously" Wish had gone differently I'm confident my p38 will outlast me if I don't kill it read more

Really impressed with this place and will always bring my Evoque here if possible. Took her in for her first oil change a few months ago and asked if they could check out a clunk she had been making. Unfortunately the clunk was 2 damaged struts that needed replacing and they were honest that due to the extent of the damage the car wasn't safe to drive. Because this isn't a normal issue with the car they didn't have any struts on hand and the ones they ordered were held up with all the shipping delays. Not their fault at all. My car ended up being with them for around 3 weeks but they kept me updated on the process as much as possible and when the parts finally came in they put a massive rush on getting them replaced as fast as possible. They were also amazing at working with the insurance company, as we filed a claim because the strut damage had been due to a collision. Everything was pretty seamless there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and patient, I'm sure us constantly calling to check on things wasn't their favorite but they always took their time to give us the full run down and any updates. She's my baby and I wouldn't trust her with anyone else besides these guys (okay maybe the dealership, but only if I have to). read more

This is the most dishonest facility I've ever had the displeasure of taking my vehicle, and that says a lot. I'm a former dealer service technician that now restores classic German cars as a hobby. I brought my P38 to JC's for some HVAC repair. It took days for them to touch my rig, despite waiting two weeks for my appointment. When they finally got to it, they failed to diagnose my main concern and instead presented me a huge quote for repairs that I do not need. They found many issues during their "complimentary inspection" that are completely nonexistent. I have an acute knowledge of all of my vehicles mechanical health, and I'm more neurotic than anybody I've ever known. Trust me when I say, these issues were fabricated deceitfully. These foe issues include coolant leaks, which is something I've noticed to be a trend in the other negative reviews for this shady shop. The only issue they noted that was actually existent is a leaking oil cooler hose. Ironically, they failed to find a few other issues that I knew to exist that I actually would've paid them to do! They quoted me $3300 to replace blend doors and blower motors and although atrociously expensive, it is probably necessary. The scam comes in from left field when they try to get me to pay an additional $2100 for the aforementioned repairs I don't need. I do have worn tie rod ends and a weak brake booster and somehow, they missed those two huge safety items! (I just purchased this truck and will correct these issues in the next week). Throughout it all, I never approved a dime of work because they didn't do anything until 18 hours prior to me picking the truck up. When Jeff finally presented his findings, all while neglecting the fact that they didn't even come close to solving the issues I came in on in the first place, I told them not to touch my truck and that I'd pick it up next day. When I got to the shop, they refused to let me speak to the tech who fabricated said diagnostics. I asked them to point out any of the leaks they tried to get me to pay for and they couldn't. This shady business is why I did not want to spin spanners for big companies anymore. At the end of it, Jeff actually had the audacity to try to get me to pay $251 for filling my refrigerant system. I never approved this, and wouldn't have prior to them fixing the leak I KNEW existed because it's silly to fill up a compromised system. Luckily the service manager has some moral compass and gave me my keys back, realizing that I owed them nothing. If they would've hit me a $3300 quote and said "your AC will work", I would've happily gone ahead with it. While explaining why my AC still wouldn't work, Jeff literally retold me exactly what I told him the issue was 5 days prior, that's pretty insulting. Last note: the Jeff I refer to is NOT the owner, Jeff Corwin, but rather a service advisor that works for Jeff. I've had no contact with the owner. The service manager was professional and didn't seem to be ill intended. Jeff the service advisor, though, is a fraudulent service advisor that you should not trust with your Land Rover. Pictures attached are the areas that I was told had "massive leaks". Most of them are bone dry, the cooler hose can be seen wet by the oil pan and the valve cover gaskets have some minor seepage around them. I've never added oil/coolant. Jeff's exact words were "water pump is leaking heavily". The water pump was replaced by Land Rover Denver recently. I cannot believe it. read more

Great crew and really know their Rovers! Had an issue on the trails last fall with my suspension. These guys had some great advice that helped me get off the mountain safely! Recently came in to get a compressor replaced. Needed some customization to make it fit with customer sliders on my LR4. They explained everything very clearly and got the work done on time. First they inspected the vehicle and let me know about some issues that Land Rover Denver didn't find or didn't tell me (even though they charged for the work). Then they were very helpful in telling me what I should do now and what could wait. Finally, while I'm as camping in SW Co I had an issue that the truck wouldn't start. I called and Chuck diagnosed on the phone (the security system had locked the vehicle systems in error) and told me how to fix the problem, which was a life saver! Multiple negative experiences in my first interaction with JC's British & 4x4 are the cause for the review. I dropped off my RR on Friday 10/16, with the intention of having a suspension issue diagnosed. Upon delivering my vehicle for my 9:30am appointment (after waiting 10 days for an opening) I was asked when I would like it back, to which I replied: "By E.O.D., or 4:00pm if possible." I called at 3pm, and was told that the vehicle was currently being inspected. I called back at 5:20pm (10 minutes before close) and was told that the car was not finished, and the tech would be back Monday. Then the person on the phone chalked it up to a simple "miscommunication" even though I stated during drop-off that I needed the car back by E.O.D. Finally, on Monday 10/19, three days after dropping my car off, I get a call that JC's diagnosed the problem. Lower Control Arms. It takes 10-15 minutes to put a car on a lift, and tug the control arms to check for this. Wonderful! It took them $158, plus 3 days, to diagnose something anyone with a lift can do in no time. The icing on the cake? These blokes wanted over $2,000 for less than $200 in parts, and, at most, 5-6 hours of labor. The 2 stars are a result of their integrity, not their quality of work - they are clearly a competent crew as evidenced by the plethora of Rovers surrounding their garage, however I wanted to share my experience so you might think twice about getting another opinion elsewhere! read more

I took my LR3 to JC's this week for an inspection to check on the vehicle since I'm going on a long road trip. The team here is honest, friendly, knowledgable, and easy to work with. Their pricing was very fair, and less expensive than the dealership. When I asked them which repairs were needed and which repairs were nice to haves, they were very transparent and honest. They delivered the car on time and even had the parts needed in house. Would recommend them. read more

Really disappointed in the service here. They charge about as much as the dealership. Specifically they diagnosed an axel problem with our vehicle. We noticed that the middle part of our tires was missing after the repair. Seems logical that we noticed that after we picked up the car and they had just taken the tires off. CRAIG who I spoke with on the phone denied all responsibility and blamed it on cold weather. And told me how insulted he was that we call his shop dishonest. Jeff's team always does a great job for us with both our Discovery and LR2. Our cars are absolutely essential to us, especially now, and even though they are older, Jeff's team has kept them on the road, running reliably. They have even found creative solutions which saved us a lot of money in replacement parts. Their intimate knowledge of Land Rovers, how they wear over time and how they can best be maintained have been a great comfort for both my wife and I. Very disappointed that you told Me I would have to pay for a diagnostic and labor to swap a battery that is under warranty. I called the manufacturer and they said there is no reason that you can't replace the battery under warranty I spent close to $5000 with you on my first visit and will never do business with you again over a battery that cost $300 and would not cost you a dime To swap out since it's a free replacement under manufacture warranty. I will admit I was very happy with the service and repairs that you preformed but when it comes down to try to get me To pay you on something that is covered seems shady!... thanks but no thanks I'll take my business elsewhere ! Why was I told I was out of warranty? The work you preformed is not in question. I am totally happy with the work preformed ....but why was I told that I would be charged for diagnostic if it's under warranty it's been less then two years . I recently got rid of my Land Rover, but not before taking it in to Jeff several different times for diagnosis of problems and some repairs. Imagine if you would, that he spent almost an hour with me in his bay showing me the problem with my front differential, replacing the fluid in the front diff and getting me an estimate for the repair on the front diff. After all of that time and expert advice, I literally began to BEG him to let me pay something for the time and parts. He refused and refused. If you own a Land Rover, Jeff Corwin is going to become your new best friend. He is an expert, is factory trained and loves Land Rovers. read more

I can't rate these guys high enough. After doing some maintenance on my Range Rover I told them about a strange clicking sound coming from the rear. Jeff the owner and the mechanic who had been working on the car did a short drive with me to hear for themselves. They both then worked 45 minutes past closing to isolate the issue. The noise was some poorly fitting brake pads. Rather than just saying I needed to replace (far cheaper here than dealer) they assured me the safety wasn't compromised and adjusted the bracket - noise has gone. My RR will not be going anywhere else for any work!!! read more

I was overall pretty happy with them. It's a nice organized facility. They were able to fix the issues with my Land Rover that another shop couldn't figure out. They kept me up to date with the work and I highly recommend you take your Land Rover here for any services. As if finally committing to an LR3 purchase didn't already have me giddy with excitement while simultaneously frazzled over possible ownership adventures (read: possible repair costs), deciding on which repair shop to have on speed dial just added another level of crazy to my life. When I realized it was time to get rid of the rear-wheel drive, I took my time learning about possible replacements. I dropped in to JC's British and asked a lot of questions about typical initial maintenance and repair costs, as well as typical issues depending on year/make/model. I was impressed with the impartial feedback and even more impressed that at no time in my unannounced visit, did Robert make make feel like I was wasting his time. On the contrary, he seemed genuinely pleased to give me the information I was asking. A co-worker and I were both in the market for new rides, so we were comparing notes and making suggestions. He sent me a link to a Rover and told me that he expected a finder's fee. As is typical with us, I didn't remember that last part... I kept my eye on his suggestion and when I had enough data, I made my move. I set up a pre-sale inspection with Craig. Robert spoke with me when all was completed and said the truck was in really good shape. I heard his words, but wondered if they missed something. They took their time answering my questions, making suggestions on what they've seen in their experience, and telling me their personal experiences with various Rovers. Before a road trip, I phoned them to ask for another once-over, just to be sure. They assured me that given the recent check, I'd be fine. Again, these guys were patient and answered and addressed my questions and hypervigilant attention to every noise, shake, and shimmy. For my first major maintenance check, I brought the truck to the dealership, because that's what you're supposed to do right? Well, after a number of dealer suggestions, I pulled my truck out and took it straight to JC. I asked these guys to do a check, pretty please, and it turns out that about 3 critical suggestions totaling just over $1200 were unnecessary. The rest of the service was typical for maintenance. JC's costs were less, too. Thank you to everyone at JC for awesome customer service, patient attention to me as a person and not a quota filler, and for the welcoming atmosphere, no matter how many people are dropping off/picking up. read more

After recent well thought out and researched rebuttals to my review, I am left reminiscing my 2000 Land Rover disco ll. When it ran, it was fun to drive. It just had all these strange problems all the time (JC's only knew the half of it). I could go on and on about how much that truck mechanically blew ass, but instead I will remember the happy times over the 30k miles I owned it. Then when I take it back to him, explaining how it is still dying when idling he tells me to go to a muffler shop, and then tries to charge me more money instead of honoring his work! It's hard to find a good mechanic let alone a good mechanic that knows Land Rovers. These guys REALLY know their sh!t. My '04 Disco came back running smoother, quieter, and stronger than it EVER has! It looks brand new under the hood. I can't believe it. They came in under estimate and kept me informed every step of the way. I found things fixed/replaced that they didn't even charge me for. Dropped of my 1992 Range Rover classic which wouldn't start. $150 diagnosis fee became $500 right away. Wanted 1800 to replace distributor, went through the car looking for problems to upsell services. Liked wanted to do headgasket at $3200. Dealt with guy Mike who really seemed like a salesguy, technician relayed info through him.. Realistically the diagnosis they claimed could have been accomplished by me in a couple hours, I'm an amateur not professionals like they are. I'm taking the truck back unrepaired and will fix it myself. I guess defenders are worth so much and Range Rover dealers charge so much now they think it's ok to charge such insane rates. Talk them to stop and took my truck back. They put my old dizzy back and it happened to start. I think they were on the wrong track and really just got lucky. I don't know how they are with more modern Rovers, but I wouldn't go to them for defender or RRC. read more

I don't know if Craig is an actual mechanic or a service advisor-salesmen. Not happy with the only option to get my vehicle running properly would cost me at least $8,569.00! And then told about another customer that gave them his vehicle and received $500.00 to settle the bill. Been driving it with a small leak for over 3 years. I am sure that they will have a clever come back and all, but all I know is that its running. Sorry that this shop has changed for the worse in my opinion.
