My wife and I wanted a hot meal after 36 hours without power and found JC's Burger Bar was open when almost everyone else was closed. The staff was amazing! They were friendly and attentive. They were allowing those from the area who were without power to eat and stay warm at the tables. Because of the load on the kitchen staff, food delivery was slow, but worth the wait! It's worth mentioning that this place was great when it went into this location, but has really trended down in the last 6 months. Food is not great, particularly if you order anything other than an overcooked burger. The people doing the cooking clearly have not been trained properly because the same thing can be ordered on different days and look and taste completely different. Finally made it JC's. The Juárez burger was great. Spicey but not too much. Loved the fries which were hot and crispy on the outside and almost creamy in the middle. Near perfect! I'll be back as there are a number of items on the menu which sound great. And to top it off, they offer free soft serve ice cream. read more

I have been a few times now. Each time I have received nothing but excellent service. They even came by the table and refilled our drinks for us during the meal. Tried this place for lunch today. I had 2 sliders and fries and the bill was under $8. It only took 15 minutes for my food to arrive which is reasonable to me. The burgers were really good as were the fries. It was plenty of food for me. They have this sauce at the tables that you can add to your burger, not sure what it is but it tasted like a mixture of spicy mustard and mayo. Employees were really friendly too. read more

JC's is our new favorite restaurant in Coppell! But calling it a "Burger" bar is a little misleading.....there are SO many non-burger, low carb and build-your-own options (and vegan and gluten free too) available! The food is delicious and the service is exceptional. My kids love the gameroom and the jenga & cornhole on the patio! They are obsessed with the perfect sweet potato fries, the Nutella shakes and free ice cream! . And I love the full-service option when sitting in the bar area (versus ordering at the counter!). Lots of huge TV's -- and I heard they all can be tuned to a different channel. Ok. Craving the chicken strip taco with sweet potato fries and bacon now. I've been to JCs now three times, and my order has been made wrong every time. The place is chronically staffed with plenty of people who are really nice, but orders sit in the window getting cold while being ignored. Been eating at JCs in Plano for years and stopped by the one in Coppell a couple of times in the past week. Both times I ordered a bacon cheese burger and the first time the meat was over done (ok it happens) but the next time I opened the box and burger was picture perfect and several people in the park asked, where did you get it from. So I took my first bite and damn, the bottom bun was stale..... will give them one more try the next time in Coppell but got to get better.... hope this help read more

A small chain. Seemed like a varied burger menu. I had the Nooner burger, comes with fried egg & bacon. Wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked, it came out well, well, done. 2 stars because the food was actually decent. After sending my burger back twice til they finally got it right. The problem with this place is poor management and highly undertrained staff. I went with the build ur own burger option choosing lettuce, tom, onion, fried jalapeños, pepper jack chz and a side of ranch. When the food runner dropped off my burger reading directly off his ticket all of my toppings, which were correct, he didn't even notice the fried jalapeños and my side of ranch were missing. Which we all know is part of a food runner/expediters job. When he brought the burger back the second time the jalapeños were grilled, not fried. I asked him "are your fried jalapeños not breaded"? He said "NO". After he walked away I asked another female employee if the fried jalapeños on the menu come breaded. She said... "I'm not sure let me check on that".... lol... ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Finally when my burger came back a third time it was right BUT only topped with only 5 very small sliced breaded jalapeños. Unbelievable How is it that this place has been open less than a week and the first 2 employees I come across don't even know the menu. This is my fifth time eating here. The food was good three visits out of five. I ordered the Works burger (medium rare) and my daughter got chicken tenders. My burger came out well done and my daughter's chicken tenders were also over cooked. The hamburger patty looked much thinner than usual and I wouldn't be surprised if the patties were frozen. The fries and onion rings were good. The ice cream was more like a slushy than ice cream. I never return food so we just ate it. I've heard what some people do to food that goes back to the kitchen. I'd be hard pressed to return with Rodeo Goat in Cypress Waters. read more

Been here twice. Wait is kind of long but not too bad. Burgers are incredible. Love everything about them. My only complaint is the fries are average to below average. If they had hand cut fries this place would be the bomb. They taste more like frozen ones (crispy), which I am sure they are not. They do have onion rings and tator tots. Will try those next time. We were in a hurry because it was after 7 pm and our daughter needed to be somewhere in the neighborhood by 8. We decided that since it was nearby and seemingly fast to go to JC's for a quick meal and by 7:14, (stamped on our receipt,) we had ordered our burgers and fries. I also mentioned to the young woman taking our order that I like my fries to be hot - not warm but hot. We then proceeded to wait - and wait - and wait. At 7:45 I went to the bar where I ordered a second beer, (which was for some reason cost $0.50 more than the first one of the same flavor,) and when I asked the status of the food, the server said the kitchen was slammed. At 8 my daughter, who by then was supposed to be somewhere else, asked again about or order and was told it should be out soon. A guy who looked to be the manager was helping bus tables but if he was I don't understand why he wasn't in the kitchen helping speed things up. The food finally arrived at 8:10 - almost exactly an hour after we ordered. I have seen marriages that didn't last as long. To add insult to injury the fries were served at about the same temperature as my beer - not even warm. I didn't send them back for fear of what I might get in return but ended up eating only a small portion. The burger, on the other hand, was very good. All in all, unless you want to make an evening of it and eat cold food, I'd skip the place. read more

We just had lunch at JC's this is all on the manager Tony and the service! The salad was good once I received it. Tony made excuses about being short staffed and having to call people into work. I understand that is a problem. However an hour and half from placing my order and receiving it , is not acceptable. Customers don't want to hear the excuses from a manager in charge. Please learn to deal with the issue and resolve it without the customer telling you what they want. Your food is good! If you do not have the c/s to go with it you will not last. Their "Impossible Burger" is an amazing all-vegetarian replica of a burger that is so realistic, you would swear you are eating fine ground steak. Their exotic customization options seem almost endless -- and all are delicious. There are lots of drink options: teas, soft drinks, shakes, beer, wine, and mixed drinks, too.
