This was a very difficult installation as the old floor was glued down to the concrete slab foundation. This required three days of grueling chiseling and grinding on the slab. A bear of a job. One area was a particular worry for me as the floor had a hump in the middle - Angel ground down the hump to leave a ballroom level floor. The resulting floor is simply beautiful. My only complaint is that they use a very long (14 pages) contract that is not customized to the job. A shorter customized contract for each type of job would be better.

We've lived in the North Tahoe-Truckee for almost 20 years . . . it's a small town, and these guys have a great reputation for quality and dependability. Building a new house, there are always hiccups and surprises with some subcontractors, and Nor-Cal delivered on all fronts. The look and feel of our floors exceeded our expectations. We were present for most of Nor-Cal's install and were super impressed with the level of precision, care, and craftsmanship of the installation. These guys really care and it shows! By mid May they had completed part of the job, and were paid in full for that work. They were supposed to start the rest of the job the following week. Since then if they reply at all nothing but excuses. We had all the furniture moved in anticipation of the work, and our house was empty so no Covid concerns. Now, approaching the end of June, they can't even estimate when they'll get around to it, as they have other more important jobs. Meanwhile we had cabinetry redone for $15k+ in our living room in the same 'specialty' stain we were supposed to have on the floors. Now we're stuck in limbo, zero response, zero accountability, I recommend people go elsewhere.
