I had hired Dan's Floor Store based on a good reference from a family friend that had used them the…read moreyear before. I was installing new hardwood flooring in my dining room to match the existing flooring in the kitchen and hallways so I needed Dan to sand everything down stain and finish the flooring. The day came when their employee showed up to start and all was going well with the sanding. The next day he was back and applied the stain coat, well when we got home we noticed that he had gotten the (dark) stain all over most of the base boards & door casings in the hallway as well as a spot on one of our walls (about 3' up from the floor. All of this wood work and wall had been painted (white) 3 weeks before they came to do their work so we were not happy with this. We had our painter come back and quote us to fix this damaged areas and his quote came in with in $70 of the balance we owed to Dan so Dan decided to cover our painter's bill and the balance we owed him, truly above and beyond. We would refer this company to anyone as we were very happy with the finish results of our floor and despite the damage to our fresh paint they made things right by us.

This is my second experience with Dean's Carpet One in Manchester and I'll likely come back in the future when I replace the 2 other rooms in my house. They have a large selection of carpeting with experienced salespeople who can assist in selection by assessing your needs. I originally went in to look at hardwood (which they also sell) but my budget took me to carpet and I couldn't be happier with our selection. The pricing is reasonable, they have a wide range of pricing options, and they often have 12 month (or higher) financing available through a 0% credit card promotion. A recent promotion for 18 month financing prompted me to jump at my second room. The installers have been excellent in both circumstances. Very friendly, courteous and professional. They represent the company positively, performed the install with great care, and cleaned everything VERY well. They made sure I was satisfied before leaving. I feel that a company can be reasonably judged on how they handle conflict and I feel that Dean's does the right thing for their customers from my recent experience. I got an e-mail and mailer about a memorial day sale so drove an hour to get there and they were closed on the days of the sale. When I called after, Russell informed me of a miscommunication from corporate (they didn't know the sale was being advertised) and honored the pricing and financing rate for me. I knew what I wanted so did the entire balance of the transaction over the phone.

Rug depot carpeted both of our staircases almost immediately after we came in and picked out our carpet choice. The service was speedy and affordable. Also, rug depot is a family owned business. The staff here are caring, helpful and honest. Chris does the installations, his father helps with carpet selection and specifications for your location and his mother works on scheduling and coordination. Together, they run a great show and really take care of their customers. We love Chris. He really helped us find the best carpet for our home, tolerated our crazy toddlers running around in the store and in our home, our barking dog :) and also installed our carpets to perfection. He even drove back to the store and rescheduled our second installation because he wanted to make sure the job was done right. He even made two carpets for us out of the leftovers from the job free of charge! A big thank you to the Rug Depot owners. I wish every store was like yours. You guys are awesome. We looked at many types of tile but found some very nice Italian "Tuscan Paprika" 13x13" for $1.99 sf. / $37.61 case which is a great deal. We also got matching grout and the cement. Tim, the customer service guy there was very helpful and answered my many questions. We got a great deal. At least I think so. We compared prices at Homo Depot and the new Haverhill Lowes and the tile was so expensive I nearly had a stroke looking at the prices. Now the next stage: The self installation! HELP!

Buyer Beware, Our company was given a job by Armco Flooring to install a granite counter top for…read moreone of Armco' s customers. We did the job, the customer was very happy with our work, but not with Armco Flooring. Customer claims he was told what color granite to get by Joe Armano, owner of Armco Flooring, this color did not match his color scheme and as a result would not pay his final bill. Our company became involved, and agreed to take off $500.00 just to settle the bill. That left Armco Flooring with a bill of $1,500 which Joe Armano said he would pay. The bill remains unpaid, Joe's responce is to curse at any attempt to collect this bill, and hang up the phone. I think sites such as Yelp are very usefull to give possible customers, an idea of what type of company they are dealing with. Dishonest bussiness owners such as Joe Armano can be called out, Buyer beware.

We're in the process of having a kitchen and bathroom floor done by Ed's. The first day the…read moreinstaller showed up with only part of the materials. He installed the kitchen flooring into the bathroom. When he realized mistake, he took it up. He was done by late morning. He had some of the kitchen floor but not enough to do the whole kitchen. He didn't have any of the material to do the bathroom floor. So he left for the day. He wasn't sure of all the material had come into the storehouse or not Since it was only half a day at the house, I would have expected him to go back to the store to see if the material was in the storehouse . Maybe even return to get some of the flooring done on Friday. We had the plumber come in that morning to removed the toilet , they were scheduled to return in the afternoon to reinstall the toilet.We had to call and cancel him and tentatively reschedule him for Monday. Since it was a Friday, we had all of our kitchen and bathroom closet items stored in our living room for the weekend. Sunday, the installer did show up and correctly put in the bathroom floor and started the kitchen floor. Our bathroom floor is the vinyl that looks like stone and it's a grey tone. They installed a bright white molding around the flooring. It clashes and looks awful. The strip they put between the bathroom and the hallway door matches perfectly . When we requested the white molding be taken out and replaced some that matched the floor like the color of the strip in the doorway. We were told they would look around around and see if they had anything in the warehouse, I am sure that they're not going to find anything just hanging around the warehouse. If they don't have anything, they would have try to find something matching, and it would cost us extra. When we hired them to install the floor we assumed that it would be done with matching materials. Now we're being told we have to pay extra. Since we did not get a discount on the floor or a sale or anything else, I don't feel we should have to pay another cent to have the floor install correctly with matching materials . That's a discussion. we have to have later today with the manager. It's noon time Monday and they may have to come back another day to finish the floor. We told them we needed it done before Tuesday because we were having company on Tuesday. We assumed most of the work would have been done on Friday and just finishing touches on Monday. I won't know until I get home from work if they've completed the installation. I wished I had read some of the reviews , which had several negative comments about the installation. Of flooring they did. Overall, I'm just not pleased with the service , the installation or the communication I'll have to wait to see how this gets resolved but I would never recommend them or have them again.
