The owner and employees were super friendly and helpful, and I got two pairs of vans and doc Martin boots for roughly 200 bucks, which was quite unexpected for me. I came here cause someone told me about deals. I'm literally outside in shock these guys are low balling everyone that comes in and I, a woman, asked about these same Rainbow sandals that I've bought before for my son, I asked how much. Everything was same price if not more. But I was completely insulted by this. These same Rainbow sandals I've seen everywhere for about $17, on the Rainbow website itself for $17, and these fools wanna charge $40. I even looked up the most expensive of the kids sandals and it's like $35. I just put it back and walked out, he asked if everything's ok and I told him straight up these are NOT $40. He said ok. So for all of you to know, they will rip you off no matter who you are cause that's just stupid to pay $40 for kids sandals that they're just gonna wear out quick. Honesty if I didn't have an issue receiving my packages by UPS due to covid-19, I would've never purchase the Adidas sweat suit. I was kinda force because my birthday is on Thursday. So, let me start off by saying the owner was nicer compared to the very first time I went to his store. I'm a female that wears men clothing. I'm very familiar with the brand Adidas and know how their clothes fit. I wear a small in men clothing but had to go up 2 sizes (L) in the classic Adidas track suit. I don't believe the track suits is authentic but I still bought it because I needed a new outfit for my birthday and it's hard to go shopping right now. read more

Done let the 3 stars scare you. It's a nice place the employees are friendly but sometimes they are hard to point out when there are other customers just cause they don't have a uniform. I went there and this is where the 3 stars come in. I was looking for jeans for me (and I am a thick girl) they have a VERY small selection of girls jeans. They are all jeggings. I had to go to the men's jeans and find my size there. The employee that helped me was so nice and patient with me after trying on 9 pairs of jeans. Unfortunately I have to give Jean Machine a one star review based on my last experience in this store which is very sad because I think they have a great sneaker selection. A month or two ago I brought a friend of mine here because I kept telling him how great the sneaker selection is and that they have decent prices on jeans. I was pretty pumped to find this place since I live close by and they have a lot of old school sneakers to choose from. While we are scoping out the sneaks one of the employees is talking loudly in the background for everyone to hear, and for some reason he thinks it's appropriate to drop the N word over and over again to the point that the 3-4 customers (including us) stopped what they were doing to see who was running their ignorant mouth. Mind you the owner/manager is standing close by and says nothing. Just so happens that I'm spanish/caucasion and my friend as well as the other patron are black. Now I do not condone using the N word regardless of the color of your skin but what made it even worse is this man wasn't even black. He was clearly of Hispanic decent. It was offensive and made everyone shopping instantly uncomfortable. The other gentlemen shopping actually walked over and confronted the man saying "I heard you say the N word a bunch of times. Why do you think that's appropriate?" and to that the employee states "I'm half black, my kids are darker than you..." as if that makes it ok... At this point I tell my friend let's get the hell out of here and we're definitely not coming back. I don't like writing bad reviews especially for a small local business like this but this situation was ridiculous and unacceptable to the point that even after a month or so later I still feel compelled to write this review. read more

I have bought jeans here multiple times and every pair i have bought has ripped super quick! I had the leg seem rip on a pair of Levi's on the second time wearing them with not a single wash. The other pair that I bought at the same time started ripping on the waist seem and zipper doesn't stay up!!!! QUALITY Is garbage. read more

Even with the " 10% off of everything" offered by the hawker stalking me, I hate to say it but you could go on line (or next door to Wal-scum) and get most of them for half the price. Bought a pair of women's canvass low-pros for my granddaughter from the Jean Machine on 4th Street, LB. First of all, creepy guy guarding the front door please back off! We got a good price on the shoes but when we got home with the pair pulled from the warehouse, the strings were 54-inches (these 5-eyelet shoes should only have 36-inch strings at the most)! The next week when I got a chance, I went back to Jean Machine to tell them they had put the wrong strings in the shoes. The creepy guy says, "that's how they came." Really? I seriously doubt that Vans ships low-pros with 54-inch strings. So okay, whatever. I asked, "do you sell shoe strings?" "No, but you can probably get some at WalMart." WTF? So a couple of days later I was out and stopped by a Vans store at the Lakewood Mall. I ask them about the strings: does Vans ever ship shoes without strings (to a warehouse) or ship with mis-matched strings? They said all their low-pro shoes come with 36-inch strings. So I don't know what these guys on 4th Street are up to - are they taking the nice Vans strings out and selling them to someone else then buying 54-inch strings in bulk to put in every shoe they sell (I washed the shoes with the laces in and the ends came apart...)? Are they getting knock-offs from somewhere (the color we bought is nowhere to be found on Vans website or the internet)? There is a very strange vibe in this place and if I can find out where to complain to Vans (their website seems to be devoid of a place to contact corporate with concerns - maybe they don't care if there are knock-offs out there?) I will call this to their attention. Meantime, in search of 36-inch white shoe laces (the Vans store was out). :-| read more
