This was our first visit to Jean Pierre's Three16 after a referral from another business, and it was a great referral. Our waiter was Skye and she was phenomenal!!! From the time we were seated until we left we were very well taken care of. We started out ordering drinks. Skye helped me to decide on a new drink I didn't think I would like, but I loved it so much I had 2. My drink was a bourbon lemon drop martini and it was Mmmmm good. I am not a Bourbon drinker so I was definitely on the fence until my first sip. My husband had a delicious cabernet. The menu had so many great dishes to choose from it was a hard decision, but we were both so happy with what we ordered. We started with the Normandy Escargot that came with grilled bread, this was an awesome start to dinner. We also split a wonderful Caesar salad which was a perfect portion given the dinners we ordered. For dinner I was caught between the Cedar Plank Salmon and the Seafood pasta, Skye to the rescue again. Skye suggested salmon with a side of seafood pasta and it was perfect. I wasn't able to finish my whole dinner, but it made for delicious leftovers the next day. My husband was stuck between the Blackened Ribeye and the Juniper Marinated Lamb Chops. The Lamb Chops had came highly recommended so he decided that would be his dinner. Let's just say, he couldn't stop talking about how delicious they were. We did order dessert and it was fabulous, we ordered a Crème brûlée which was divine and the portion size was perfect to share. We also ordered a Cherry Chocolate Torte to bring home. We had the torte with the left over dinner the next day and it was so decadent, we loved it. We will definitely be back, thank you Jean Pierre and Skye! read more

Looking for an excellent French restaurant without the snobby attitude and judgmental scoffs when you can't properly pronounce a dish that is...let's be honest...unpronounceable to a non-French speaker? Well good news, because Jean-Pierre's is it! We came here for a friend's birthday dinner, and it was lovely from beginning to very full end. The very cozy feel of the converted home (the 2nd oldest one in the area apparently...fun fact thrown in by our server) enhances the ambiance, especially in the small rooms used for group dining. The decor is comfortably imperfect, making for a relaxed, yet charming dining experience. Our server, who put in so much charm and effort (but not too much!) she must own the place, because the love for what she does was apparent in her conversation about the restaurant. We ordered probably more than we should have, but we're glad we did. The bacon wrapped dates are delicious, a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with a rather generous portion size. The escargot was buttery, tasty, and had an excellent texture. If you're looking to have someone try their first snail for funsies, or if you're a fan of naturally artistically shelled land-shellfish, this is highly recommended. Our friends ordered the potato soup as well, which we ended up splitting between the four of us. This actually turned out to be a good idea, because that soup, while delicious, is very heavy, and could be a meal on it's own. The Peppercorn Filet Mignon was delicious. Perfectly temped, very well seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The blackened ribeye with goat cheese, balsamic, and horseradish was excellent as well, a very balanced mix of flavors that didn't feel too heavy, even when we hit the point of being almost too full. The seafood pasta had wonderful texture, and a flavorful richness to it that really satisfied the occasional need to pick a pasta over an excellent steak! We actually opted to not have dessert because we were SO full from the meal, but because it was our friend's birthday, and our conversations about being from Hawaii with our lovely server...she actually brought us a creme brulee...in a Spam can! It was very delicious, and if getting a fancy dessert in a can of spam (no it didn't taste of spam at all, by the way) made the evening extra special and fun. The owner offered us initially an 8 course meal, roll me out with a wagon if we did that, lol. It was our 50th wedding anniversary and our daughter and son in law's 10th, we renewed our vows on our 40th to marry again along with our kids, and our grandson now going on 14 was our best man & ring bearer. The owners wanted us to have a magical dinner and we did. I came to this restaurant on Mother's Day. My wife and two kids loved the food. The chef made a custom dish for my kids. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the pasta. Both of which were delicious. The appetizer was crab and artichoke dip with brioche and all of it was the best I've ever had. They also made a Caesar salad just for me and that was delectable too. Dessert was magnificent. A chocolate torte and crème brûlée. The service was great and they were very friendly and accommodating. You can tell that they care for their customers and put a lot of passion and alacrity into their cooking. I'd give them ten stars, but this app won't permit it. Came for dinner for the first time. We were seated at a high top in "the library". The napkins and tablecloth smelled like they had stayed in the washer a few extra days, kinda mildewey. We ordered the bacon wrapped prawns and they were excellent. Ordered the rib eye and filet for our entrees and two tables seated after us were served while we waited over 20 minutes. Thinking the kitchen lost our order,but, we were never given an explanation. When we got our steaks they were excellent! We ordered port for dessert and both glasses were served in dirty glasses. Takeaways- food is very good but attention to detail is lacking. We assumed this is a high end restaurant when we made reservations but our server wore a cowboy hat. Not what we were looking for. I never write reviews but felt that I needed to because it was not a pleasant experience right from the beginning. This was over Valentines weekend and I tried to hold out on posting this review to allow time for the owner to call me since she gave me her cell number. I reached out to her and we even arranged a specific day to discuss over the phone, but she did not contact me at all. Some of the things I am about to say, has already been said before from prior customer reviews. The restaurant is in a sketchy area next to a huge condemned building. Walking up to the restaurant, it is an old home with poor landscaping, I actually thought that I came to the wrong place it was that bad. I kept an open mind and didn't really judge it yet by the outside. Inside the restaurant, it was very dark and did not expect the tables to be elbow to elbow with other guests! There is no way you could even have a private conversation, so it was very uncomfortable. I thought that this restaurant was considered upscale and classy but I was kind of shocked to see how the employees were dressed. It was way too casual (wrinkly shirts, holy jeans) especially when all of your customers are dressed nice. I'm not trying to be mean, but it was just weird to see employees dressed down like this considering the high priced menu. Typically when you are seated at a nice restaurant, the server would do the introductions and tell you about the menu, and maybe ask if you are celebrating anything.. none of that happened. It did seem like she was distracted, maybe stressed because she was the only server at the time. The menu was very limited so I assumed that meant it was going to be good. We ordered the Dungeness crab dip appetizer which came out the same time as our main entree! Other couples that came in AFTER us, got their appetizers before us and they definitely did not get it at the same time as their main course. The crab dip was too salty anyways and we couldn't even finish it. We had rib eyes and it was not to my liking even though I was told this was the place to go to for steaks. I had a tough time cutting into it and I even ordered medium, but it was dry and had some burnt sautéed veggies on top which I did not enjoy. The server was no where to be found and I needed a water refill badly. I was so thirsty because of the salty food. They ended up bringing out the water pitcher to us AFTER they took our plates away. When it was time to pay, it took so long for her to bring out our bill and even longer for her to take our bill!! After mentioning my experience briefly on Facebook about another topic related to this restaurant, the manager/owner commented that two of the staff members had gotten into a car accident on their way to work and tried the best they could to inform and apologize to everyone of the situation. Not one word was mentioned to us at all otherwise I would have been a little more understanding of the situation. My husband and I are always willing to try out new places, but this was such a big let down and unfortunately, will not come back nor recommend. read more

Such a romantic setting. We ate outside in one of their heated gazebo's. Lots of candles and under the trees. The service was great ( Thank you Sky!). A very tasty arugula salad with feta, dried cherries candied nuts, and blue cheese was to "Live for!" The Halibut was tender, flavorful, and delicious! The 24 oz ribeye was grilled to perfection, you could almost cut it with your fork! The flavor of the meals was some of the best I've had anywhere! I'm a goodie, and that says a Lot!
