Chicken and sausage gumbo, crawfish cake,, and bread on the side
David S.

This was my first trip to Jed's. I ordered the gumbo and crawfish cake from the appetizer menu for lunch. The gumbo was a solid option--fairly standard with no okra, just chicken and sausage. It was not a dark roux gumbo, but it was seasoned well. The crawfish cake was one large cake, cooked very well. It had a surprisingly strong taste of lemon, but the consistency was good. I do think I will eat here again in the future.

Hamburger steak and asparagus

My girlfriend and I live in the neighborhood. We've driven by it a million times, but finally decided to stop by on 10/20/25 at about 6:30pm. Not a lot of people working there.. 3 or 4 total on staff. We ordered a Caesar salad- it was decent. She ordered the cheeseburger- meh. And I had the hamburger steak- also meh. Both the cheeseburger and the hamburger steak were seemingly frozen beef patties. All in all we spent over $50 and the food was simply not worth what we paid. Dry hamburger, left off ingredients (caramelized onions were left off both entrees), and a lackluster flavor profile for both dishes. They were also out of new potatoes so I ended up having to select a different side. Do not recommend if you're in the neighborhood- there are better options.

Shrimp Po-Boy
Travis H.

I came in on a Wednesday evening and there was only one other customer. The servers were great. The food, not as much. I don't recall their po-boys being served on this hogie-type bread before. It was like it was bought from the Albertsons down the street. They must have been hit by shrimpflation because there were not as many shrimps as they use to give you. For $16.99, I should have went somewhere else. We also each ordered a side of fries. The waitress should have told us that one side can be shared between two people because it's a massive serving of fries they give you.

Poboy of the month - friend crawfish tails
Jeanne P.

JED's has been on my list for a while, and with so many reviews from people I know, I hate that it took me so long to get here. I first started by placing an order through their website - this has to have been the easiest process and best laid out online ordering system ever. I chose my time, chose my items, paid, and knew it would be handled when I arrived. I have used other restaurants sites to order before, but there's usually a glitch or two when bouncing around the menu. Not with JEDs. Parking can be tricky because this is an older shopping center. The lot is rather narrow, and with a lot of the wider style trucks these days, just be patient and be careful. When you enter, you are instantly greeted by friendly faces. The layout is larger than I thought with plenty of seating and a large full bar. Someone grabbed my meal from the back and I was headed home. I ordered March's poboy of the month (ever rotating delicious and sometimes creative meals). This was a fried crawfish tail poboy. I also ordered a side of regular fries. I instantly noticed the bread was not overly toasted, rather, it was soft and did not fall apart on you. As someone who has a tough time with harder breads, this was a great surprise. The poboy was overflowing with crawfish tails. They were plentiful and I couldn't fit them all in the sandwich when i ate it, so i had some escapees. They did not have too much flavor though, so i definitely feel like they could have used seasoning and not just tasted bland. The fries were good - soft which is nice. My only issue was that I am fairly sure they prepared the meal well ahead of the requested time. While I know you cannot always get spot on, everything had a slight chill to it and the softly toasted bread had started to dry out a little. Again, it's difficult to get that 100% spot on, so it was not a huge issue, and i had access to a microwave to zap the fries a sec. I really enjoyed JEDs, and I am certainly looking forward to using the easy order system for take out in the future, as well as to dine in and bring some family next time.

Gave Jed's poboys a go today after not getting a chance to ever stop by when I was near the area. I wanted seafood and this place kept coming up with high reviews since they've been open so we took the drive there. We got the Buffalo chicken poboy, bacon cheese fries, and combo seafood platter. Buffalo chicken poboy was chefs kiss from the way it was torn up in a few minutes by my hubs. Overall good place though I do believe the seafood needed more seasoning. Would not order the red beans again though. The red beans were not good at all, it needed more flavor. I added salt and still got nothing out of those beans. Prices are reasonable and service was good. If you want to try a different poboy place from the usuals you might want to give them a try.

The pulled pork on my Cuban sandwich was dry and tough enough that it might have been leftovers from Castro's regime.

She came across as short, unfriendly, and overall not very pleasant. I first ordered a Banana Foster's Martini, but she came back and said they didn't have the ingredients. No problem--I asked for an Espresso Martini instead. A few minutes later, after bringing everyone else's drinks, she returned and simply said they couldn't make that either and asked if I wanted something else. At that point, I just declined. When it was time to order, our table had nine people. She took my husband's order, then went around the table taking everyone else's order. By the time she got back to me, she said, "Okay, is that it?" I had to remind her that she hadn't taken my order yet. I ordered the crab and corn bisque, a salad, and the stuffed catfish with creamed spinach. The salad came out quickly and was very good. Then everyone else at the table received their meals while I only received my bisque. After waiting, I was told my stuffed catfish "didn't come out right" and had to be remade. At that point, I honestly wondered if it was a joke. It wasn't. By the time my entrée arrived, everyone else was nearly finished eating. To the restaurant's credit, they did remove the stuffed catfish from my bill, and I appreciated that. However, the entire experience left me feeling overlooked from start to finish. My biggest suggestion would be for our waitress to work on her customer service. A smile goes a long way. Saying things like "Give me that plate," slamming cups onto the table, and appearing annoyed throughout the meal doesn't create a welcoming dining experience. Hospitality is just as important as the food, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

I did get shrimp as my protein for the potato and it was delicious Definitely go, give it a shot. The server was very nice and friendly. Parking very simple. Interiors mostly white. They've got some art on the wall, looks like it's done locally. Most mostly of their other restaurant. If I had to complain and be picky, I would say take that Christmas tree down. Since I stay here yearly for our work Christmas Party, I have become fond of this hotel for several reasons. I don't like that the lounge is closed on weekends, but I do like that status members (platinum and above) get a voucher for a free breakfast. That makes this a great deal for me. At around 30-35 per person, otherwise, it may not be a great deal for you (Louie's isn't that far away). Breakfast here is either buffet style or order off of the menu. The buffet has many different options, including the standards. The eggs are good, the potatoes are very good, and the meats are also very good. There is hot sauce available, and service is always friendly and prompt. Best news? The voucher covers gratuity as well! Note: The bar is also great. There is a solid selection of beer and bourbon. Expect to pay hotel prices, but after all, you are at a hotel. Shout out to the super friendly artenders!

For dessert we shared the turtle molten chocolate cake. It was ok. Needed a scoop of ice cream and more lava. Service was friendly. Overall, it's a good bet if you're close by, but probably not a destination. *Sorry all my photos were taken mid meal. Didn't think about reviewing until we were half done eating.
