Rebranded yet again, but the quality and selection is better than it was under the last run. I popped in to grab a gift and look at their non-alcoholic selection and left very happy. They have some brands you can't find in many places, and the prices are pretty competitive. They also have a small wall of "alcohol removed" drinks that provide a great variety of beer, seltzers, wine, and liquor sans alcohol. The crew working in there was nice. No one offered to assist, but that let me roam the store a bit. I probably could have used a point toward some things I wanted, but it was fine. Bin Q has a good selection of the alcohols for those looking for something a bit more exotic than the selection found at the standard Albertson's or Winn-Dixie. There are craft beers from around Louisiana and further afield, as well as one of the better selections of import beers around. However, some of those beers are not exactly... fresh. I was excited to find a chestnut lager from France's Brasserie de Bourganel ― so much so that I didn't think twice about paying the rather eye-watering $8.99 price for one 330 mL bottle. But when I finally poured out that beer and discovered it was flat, dull, and, frankly, long, long past any date by which it should've been sold. And I would expect a high-end specialty liquor store such as this to have Louisiana-made spirits grouped together in one easy-to browse location, not scattered unmarked throughout the the hard liquor section. There is scant little in the way of a single-bottle/can selection for craft beer, and what they did offer way bewilderingly overpriced. So despite the good, there was a lot of disappointment, too. I don't think I'll return to Bin Q for my next trip to by boozy souvenirs when I'm in town. read more

When I need liquor in bottle form, I'm here at Cuban trying to find it. There are probably cheaper places out there, but Cuban carries a wide variety on just about every spirit. Above all, unlike the mega shops and chain spots, they're about as local as they come. From mainstream brands to independent spirits, it's more than likely they have in inventory. I have yet to come here and walk away empty handed but then again I'm always calling ahead of time (key tip!). The random beers and whisky selection makes for some fun browsing when you're just looking to spice things up. What has kept them among the top liquor store totem pole has been a combination of their awesome customer service and quality tastings. Whether its mini sips of a sponsored rum or wine vendors promoting their latest cabernet, Cuban does a good job of keeping it light and right. Parking is solid. Though lots of folks park out front, there is a side lot as well. Since people are in and out of here, the lines are never too crazy. Hence, Cuban Liquor is an convenient spot to find that one special bottle. read more

Or maybe they remodeled parts of the store or maybe I'm just not very good at observing my surroundings because this place is awesome. Very very good selection of everything. During the pandemic I have made a total of three curbside orders. All of which have been greeted upon pick up by a very unfriendly young man who seems to have an issue with "curbside" pick ups. Today is the last time I will spend money at this local business. When I arrived and called the store to let them know that I was there for the pick up I was informed in a very condescending voice that I could come into the store "you know this don't you"; of course I know that but that's not the purpose of curbside pick up. To make things worst they left an item out of the order that I placed over the phone. There are too many places in this town that are friendly and have gone out of their way to make shopping during these uncertain times a pleasure...unfortunately this is not one of them. read more

It's not the cheapest place in town, but I dare you to find anywhere that carries the extensive (not very deep but definitely broad) inventory that these guys do and is still affordable. . .and has the customer service as well! Every time I walk in the door I am always greeted and offered assistance. Usually when I ask for advice they have always sampled the inventory and can make a good recommendation. I've never seen such a wide array of liquors (aperitifs, digestifs, herbal bitters, etc) anywhere! (The bar at the Normandy Inn & Suites (Minneapolis) actually stocks quite a few, but nothing like this.) Keep up the great work! read more

The guys that work in here are super cool and chill. They also know their stuff when it comes to liquor. You can count on them to have the ramicans for Jell-O shots the day before St Pattys day! I go there very often (probubly more than I should) for single malt scotch whiskey. They have a Very large selection most times a very knowledgeable staff on hand. I can find better prices on certain items, but they have items I can't fine elsewhere! If they don't have you can ask them to order and if available they will obtain and call you when it has arrived! Great selection and some unique finds. The store has decently good prices. I was really surprised by the unique tequilas and vodkas that I had not seen elsewhere. Cuban Liquor is a great place! I've been here several times now and I always appreciate the excellent selection and friendly, helpful staff. Cuban has wine tastings pretty often, which is always great! One star off for higher prices than other stores on same products (only by a dollar or two)-- but I'd rather come to Cuban than go searching elsewhere. I have found some of the wine sold at Cuban for much less at World Market, but I don't always want to go all the way out there. Overall, I highly recommend Cuban and I'm confident that you'll find what you're looking for! read more

Doesn't look like much on the outside, but looks can definitely be deceiving. The goat cheese lady at the Red Stick Farmers Market suggested we go buy a "buttery" chardonnay to go with the yummy deliciousness we bought from her. Not knowing Baton Rouge, we called my cousin who's wife told us to go here... so we did. When we saw the gaudy yellow and red sign I thought "there's no way this place will have what we need nor will anyone in here will be knowledgeable either. I stand corrected! Can't remember the guy's name but I remember him being from Memphis. He not only knew what we wanted, had knowledge but when asked about a very special type of dessert wine he charmed us again! Of course, I don't know if we just lucked out with our timing getting the only employee with excellent wine skills or if all the employees are as knowledgeable.
