Service department is extremely short, rude, and will not give you a clear answer on anything.

Kia of West Nyack - Kia of West Nyack Waiting Area

I scheduled a 9:30 AM appointment online for a simple oil change for my Kia Telluride. I arrived at…read more9:25 AM, checked in, and was told my vehicle would be ready between 10:30-10:45 AM. After waiting until around 11:30 AM to 12 PM with no updates, I went to ask about my car. The employee I spoke with was on the phone, barely acknowledged me, and told me the car was "in the shop" even though I could clearly see it was still sitting where I had originally parked it. Nobody came to update me or explain the delay. I continued waiting until 1:15 PM nearly 4 hours later for what should have been a quick oil change. When I finally walked up to the desk again, my service advisor wasn't even there, but I could see my paperwork sitting ready on the desk and my car parked outside already finished. I even declined the car wash because I had already wasted enough time. Then I had to wait another 30 minutes just to get my paperwork and keys back. Thankfully, another employee walking by noticed I needed help and stepped in to assist me. The most frustrating part wasn't even the wait itself, it was the complete lack of communication, updates, and customer service throughout the entire visit. Spending over 4 hours at a dealership for an oil change is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this will be my last time visiting this dealership. I was also told there was a software update recall that would be taken care of during my visit, but when I reviewed the paperwork afterward, there was no mention of it being completed. I don't even know if that's done or not. I'm a patient person and don't mind waiting when necessary, but communication is key. Keeping customers informed should be a major part of the service experience.

What an absolute joke this place is. After reading others reviews it seems I made the right choice. What an absolute shame. After asking for 2 days in a row to speak with a manager I still received 0 phone calls back.

Coming back here to update my review…read more Previously, I struggled to get in contact with Honda over the phone. But you really just have to get in touch with directly a Service Advisor or head over to their online appt portal for help. This has been a breeze. Note: there are multiple Joes working at DCH Honda, but they're all excellent from my experience! The original Joe I called scheduled me immediately for an inspection, oil change, and complimentary tire rotation. That removed a huge weight off my shoulders since I needed an inspection ASAP. The Joe who took care of me at the service dept desk answered all my questions and got me in and out of there quick. The person who worked on my car did a really nice job explaining the services in a video.

Takes 9 months to schedule a recall rapair. I arrive, the service agent John confirms contact…read moreinformation, to which we all joke that the information the system still showed was my ex's number. He confirms that he changed it, and wrote it down on my papers too. Lets me know it is going to be a 3 hour job. I have to stalk after 1pm, 4 hours later, no one answered the phone for an hour. FINALLY at 2pm I get someone that says the tech will reach out shortly. ANOTHER 2 hours go by, and I call John back just for him to have all the audacity in the world and say "I called you back several times to let you know it was ready", I then remind him of his dumb joke earlier that day and ask what number did you call because I have no missed calls. He replies, it wasn't even your number, you can come pick up. Completely disregarding my request to have the tech call me to discuss an LKAS alarm on my dashboard, had no problem charging me the diagnostic fee I had originally planned to discuss with the tech when he was supposed to call me. Only to be disregarded by John when he let me know 'don't worry I could apply that payment to the repair when I returned to have the windshield camera recalibrated.' He then lets me know the laundry list of recommendations I need, including an oil change (The car was at 90%, I had a full tune up 45 days prior) and just dismissive. I was not going to argue, I paid and left. Thanks for asking! No more than 2 days after this recall repair and minimal usage, my car dashboard has had all the alarm notifications go off. I call him back to let him know and ask what happened during this recall repair appointment because this has never happened to my car and he was even more dismissive letting me know the errors I am seeing now have nothing to do with what happened at the appointment. To my surprise, I take it to a trusted mechanic who lets me know nothing looked new in their supposed repairs and it has been a long week worth of trips to the mechanic this week because the errors continue coming back on the dashboard. I wouldn't trust this dealership with a bicycle.

If you're planning on getting your car serviced here, turn around NOW. Cancel your appointment…read more AVOID at all costs. Read Yelp reviews. Read Reddit reviews. Do. Your. Research. Do not rely on google reviews. Have owned my 2019Toyota rav4 for 7 years with excellent maintenance, and currently under 65/70k miles. Every Toyota service center I've been to has been a consistent cost, with the exception of an extra charge when necessary. I nearly choked when I got a call saying my bill at this scam center was 300% more than I've ever paid. THREE HUNDRED % MORE. They are sneaky about it; they induce stress, doubt, and create scenarios that make you second guess if doing nothing impacts your safety. "Corroded" and "rusted" seemed to be trigger words they use over the phone to their customers. Adjectives used on my car that is serviced every 5k. Sure.. When I asked for further explanation of my statement (blonde service member), I was dismissed, she rushed off. She didn't come over to me to explain what was being done even though she knew I was staying, but rather chose to call me. A less confrontational way for her to manipulate and an easier way to get out of explaining this. Older male (ralph I think) also used these tactics ^. The 300% more service statement for both instances showed a measly time ACTUALLY spent hands on my car. I had called so many times asking to see how the services are coded and billed. There was also no labor rate noted anywhere on my statement. I cannot put more emphasis on the amount of deception occurring in this center, and the entire Lia auto group. Females be wary.
