This place specializes in olives (like the one you put in your dirty martinis). They have thirty different types of olive oils and sell it by the bottles. They also bottles of European wine from Italy and Spain and Middle Eastern wines like Lebanese wine along with Japanese sake. This place is located on Clement street and it's called Olive. On a Friday stroll in San Francisco's Richmond District looking for something to drink, eat, and cook. I landed on Clement street again but this time at a specialty store. Inside you find aisles of ingredients to cook with and bottles of olive oil and specialty wines. They have the Don Juan's favorite Pinot Noir . You will also find wines like Syrah, Sherry and Rosé. They carry artisan pasta for Don Juan's tofu spaghetti ( made with Angel hair). This is the place to create the taste international flavors of different parts of the world. San Francisco Summer is approaching next month some days you have to wear a hat or a "beanie"and some days are so hot you will see some by the beach in a "bikini" you can also get a taste of the world and -Americana-not talking about the movie with "Sydney Sweeney" so grab something at Olives like the ones you pair in a Dirty "Martini" Come get some wine from Armenia , Italy and "Greece "then some that are "Lebanese" which is wine from the "Middle East "and then some Spanish Sherry wine and sake that's "Japanese"

Upon a closer look and after speaking with the lady in the counter, I found out that these are gelatin flowers. They come in different colors and designs and are priced accordingly to its sizes. I both one of each size. They were so adorable that I can't get myself into eating them so I decided to keep them as long as I can by storing them in the fridge. While I feel amused of these beautiful gelatin flowers, I was completely dumbfounded to learn the story behind La Cocina. I found out that all the products sold here were made by low-income immigrant women business owners. As they make and share delicious food, La Cocina gives them the opportunity to grow and be economically self-sufficient. The back story was so touching that I felt compelled to spread the word out there to patronize this small shop at the Ferry Building. There are so many ways to help. You can go shopping at the location or online. Or hire them to provide catering on special events. Or simply make a donation.

You really cannot go wrong with any of the vendors and there is plenty of seating. I just wish they had a courtyard or something to complete the vibe. My favorite stand is Estrallita Snacks, really good pupusas, I love mixing and matching from all the stands though. They even have Creole food with a New Orleans focus.
