Jefe's work (this is what they left, and what they charged)
    Chris W.

Mistakenly gave Jefe's our first payment to "secure our spot in their schedule" only to find out they weren't appropriately licensed to do the job they designed for us; they were going to subcontract it out without telling us to a subcontractor we didn't approve. Separately, they changed the cost of our job by over $90,000 once we got started, but then revised that same change to $120,000 (on top of the original job estimate). When we asked why they change their price so much they encouraged us to find another contractor and refused to give us our deposit back. If you think landscaping in Reno is expensive, wait until you get the legal bill.

We recently moved into a new home development and our backyard was literally just rock and dirt -- a completely blank slate. Working with Jefes Landscaping was the best decision we could have made. From the beginning, they took the time to really listen to what we wanted and helped bring our vision to life step by step. The 3D rendering they provided was incredibly helpful and gave us confidence in the design before any work started. Their team was very hands-on throughout the process, always respectful of our space, and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. Watching them turn an empty yard into a beautiful, finished backyard was amazing. The final result is fabulous, and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend! Now we just need our fire pit and jacuzzi in the Spring!

Jefes Landscaping Reno is everything you could ever wish for when it comes to beautifying your garden. I dont think there's anything they cant do! From the moment I made the phone call for them to come out and quote the project I liked these guys. They present themselves well. I hired Austin and his team to create three stepping stone walkways. for me. I requested a particular stone and they provided it no fuss no muss. On the day of the job they were on time and did an amazing job. The cost was fair and included the materials and labor. Hard working, friendly, fair. I also hired Austin to come back and secure a wobbly fence with metal stakes which I purchased. Again, David came out at the time we agreed and handled it like a master. The fence is now secure in the weak areas and I'm thrilled. If you're reading this review, your search for a capable landscaping company to handle all your gardening needs is over!

We cannot be happier with the professional work that Jefes Landscaping performed on our property. We were in need of plantings across the front of our home, around our 12' by 32' deck, and along our rear property line, as well the installation of a slate/stone walkway. From the first David listened to our preferences and guided us expertly. The plantings he chose fit perfectly. There is depth of color and the promise of lush growth. The crew worked tirelessly and timely. The final result truly exceeded our expectations and dreams. Cannot thank them enough.

Receipt for work I did to achieve the lawn I paid for at Jefe's

Michael and Scott Trimber-Hamilton entered into a contract with David Perez and Jefe's Landscaping, LLC on 3/28/25. to install a new landscape in our backyard in a new development community. The contract included sod, patio pavers including a walkway out to a firepit seating area and various rock, decomposed granite, shrubs, trees, a water feature and roses. When Jefe's finished the job and we paid them in full, approximately 4-6 weeks later I noticed the plants and a tree in the front yard was showing signs of water depravation. The leaves on the tree began to curl and the shrubs began to die on the right-hand side of my driveway. In June 2025 I contacted the landscape company that installed the development's front landscaping to come out and assess the issue as I thought it was something to do with their installation. They, JC Companies, LLC, came out and dug up the irrigation they installed and found that when Jefe's took down a portion of the fence to access the rear of the house to bring in heavy equipment and materials for the backyard they severed the irrigation supply to the right-hand side of my garage driving the heavy equipment over it. JC Companies took images and shared them with me, and I contacted Jefe's to inquire as to what I was seeing in the images. (Collection #1) Their response was less than acceptable saying I was "complaining about something that was 'fixable.'" I could see that what they did was a deliberate coverup, rather than properly repairing what they damaged. I decided at that point that I didn't want them back on my property under those conditions and their attitude regarding my concerns (Collection #2). Toward the end of June, I again called upon JC Companies to evaluate the sod in my backyard that was installed by Jefe's and was dying. We determined the irrigation was insufficient to cover the sod and JC Companies gave me an estimate to replace the dead sod and add additional sprinkler heads to adequately cover the lawn area (See invoice and collection #3). The final straw was when I found that my backyard was flooding when the irrigation system was watering the backyard, David Perez (Jefe's Landscaping, LLC) came out when I requested a warranty check on the work that was done and his landscaper found a couple issues with their work and 'repaired' them (collection #4), splicing a leak in the supply line to the line supplying the same area of my backyard and tying off an additional drip line feeding the same area. After digging up the landscaping to investigate the flooding issue, David Perez stated he would put the landscaping back together and turn the main water supply back on which feeds the front and back yards once I changed, or updated, my first review to a '5 Star review', effectively holding my entire yard hostage. Collection #5 reflects the condition David left my yard in after it was determined that Jefe's was only partially responsible for the flooding conditions in the backyard. Collection #6 is the initial review that was given when I found the front irrigation system severed, crimped and in disrepair. Collection #7 reflects what JC Companies and myself achieved to correct all the issues left behind by Jefe's. BEAUTIFUL!! Collection #8 is the receipts for the sod, topsoil and fertilizer I purchased to achieve the final result in Collection #7.

    Backyard

David and Austin were awesome to work with on our backyard landscaping. The workers were there on a daily basis and got what I thought would take months to do in just about a month. The quality of work was impressive and we love how everything turned out. They also provide digital videos of the design plan so you know exactly what you are getting. The cost was just as they quoted and well under the quote we got from another competitor. Great guys to work with.

Horses and rabbits kept us from having a nice lawn in the front yard no matter how hard we tried. That, added to some poor landscaping that was completed by another company a few years ago, let us to needing a landscaper. I contacted Jefe's Landscaping, and they came out the next day to give us a quote. The quote was completely within reason, so we decided to go with them. They were able to begin the project within three weeks, and completed the project in four days. The retaining wall looks great, and they were in consistent contact with us to discuss how we wanted the wall to look. The employees were very friendly, and cleaned up Each day before they left. I highly recommend Jefe's Landscaping, and will absolutely use them with any future jobs we have.

First thing that drew me to Jefes was the owner and designer came out to discuss and quote my project making everything transparent and on the spot. The communication was great from the start and even after the project was completed. Others premium companies either wanted money upfront for design or had poor communication so Jefes was an easy decision. Austin, the designer, really listened and designed the backyard to our vision, asking questions and providing recommendations without pressure. He provided a virtual design within a week of contract signing. He also handled the permits and HOA paperwork so we didn't have to. Austin and David (Owner) were onsite at least 1-2 times a week for the duration of the project which was a little over 4 weeks. Making sure that work was completed and to my satisfaction, correcting anything that needed correcting....which was very little. The crew worked hard and were very friendly and made sure to take care of tools and cleanup each day. I would highly recommend anyone looking for upscale landscaping to work with Jefes. Quality isn't cheap but you get what you pay for, do it once...do it right!!

Rafael was very quick inspecting the job and the quote was beyond reasonable for the amount of work so I immediately just said yes! Scheduling was easy and there were no delays. Due to some family issues, I didn't pick out my own pavers. I just described a color scheme I was interested in and Rafael did the rest. Jose and his team arrived on Monday morning and they worked like a well oiled machine. Each man had a job to do and they did it. No wasted time chatting or planning. They came in and got right to work every day. They were friendly, efficient and serious about the work. The entire job was completed in 4 days and I couldn't be happier. The pavers match the house and fence so well! I couldn't have picked anything more perfect. I just can't say enough about how positive this experience was - from a much appreciated phone call from Yeimy, to the final handshake when they left. I highly and happily recommend this company for any paving jobs you might have!

We decided to switch from a yard full of grass to a mostly-xeriscaped yard. The project included removing the existing grass, shrubs, sprinklers, concrete walkway and water lines and replacing them with pavers, rock, creek bed pebbles, shrubs, boulders, decorative lighting, drip system, electrical lines attached to timers, a mailbox pillar, and an additional step added to the entryway. After researching many companies and interviewing four, we ended up choosing Nevada Pavers & Stone. Rafael, the owner, spent a lot of time with us to determine exactly what we wanted and he was also very patient as we requested changes both before the project started and during the renovation, clearly stating if a change was included or if it would be an additional cost so there would be no surprises. Once he and his crew started the job, they did not want to stop until they finished. I mention this because often contractors will start a project, only to leave in the middle of it to work on someone else's project then return at a later date. We appreciated that this was not the case with Nevada Pavers & Stone. The crew was ready to work by 8 a.m. every morning, sometimes earlier. They worked hard all day, every day (at times they were actually jogging when transferring materials from the truck to the yard) and were respectful of our property and our neighbors' property, cleaning up as they went and at the end of each workday. They were also professionals - they knew what was expected and how to do it, and we never heard loud voices, questionable language, or loud music (in fact I did not hear any music at all, which I would not have minded). The project included many drip lines and electrical wire being run for shrubs and lighting, all of which are nicely hidden as they were buried under the new ground cover. Rafael also built a pillar for our mailbox, to which he added a decorative light on top and lighted address numbers on the front. We are very happy with our front yard. If you need a landscape design company, Nevada Pavers & Stone, LLC should be on your very short list of companies to contact.

Brazilian Stone is so blessed to have such a talented skilled artisan. What I really liked about Brazilian Stone and Chenca was how flexible they were with me. They came to the job site to accomplish a few tasks and as you know, when you are 'deep in it' you find more things to do and fix. Well, Brazilian Stone and Chenca were up to the task and took care of everything and made my built-in 1936 home landscape masonry look like brand new again. The photos I post here do no justice. Pretty much envision that everyting was falling down or about too. Brazilian Stone brought everything back to life and even better did a few extras. There are no negatives to report. Perfect 10.
