Our daughter was in a car accident in Vacaville and the highway patrol called Jeff Ramirez Towing to help out. Aaron was the driver that night and was very nice and helpful. Then when we went to get her belongings from her car, Ian pulled the car around (with the forklift since the car is totaled) and was so helpful and friendly. I locked my keys in my car. I called JRamirez towing. I apologize I don't remember the dispatcher's name. I gave him my location and he set up a driver to open my car. There was a mix up with the location I gave him his driver was sent to a wrong location. I called him asking where the driver was and he was honest enough to tell me the driver was sent to the wrong location. He got hold of the driver and sent him to the correct location. He then told me the fee would be cut more than half. The driver Aaron arrived and was very sorry about the mix up that really was not his fault and not the fault of the tow company, I myself did not give a clear location as to where I was located. Our car was getting towed by a driver named "lucky " he seemed understanding at first considering it was literally our moving day and had my 5 week old with me as me and my fiance spoke with him. We were on the phone because what had apparently happened was our payment was taking extra long to go through, since we paid our car payment on a friday. "Lucky" chain smoked in front of our house for a few min I asked if he could wait a few min since I was talking to the bank trying to get it cleared up. I ran inside to get my proof of payment and ran right back out and Lucky had left after saying he'd wait. We finally cleared everything with the bank and we called and spoke with the owner @ 2:15 pm. He said the yard closes at 3:00. We told him we were nearby and told him we had to pick up our 7 year old from school. He then replied with "oh are you going to pay my overtime? Because then I can get your car." We were literally shocked it's already a stressful thing to go through but to have a company be so greedy is honestly just sad. He wouldn't let us come until the next day. The only pleasant and polite person we dealt with was the lady at the window. P.s. this "company" is also known as midnight express towing. I was going to complain to the BBB but after reading a similar review/experience I figured I would just warn others. read more

Terrible experience!!!!!!!!!! The tow truck driver told my insurance company he would charge 1 hour. He "expected my tow to take 15-20 minutes. It took 40 minutes. So with that said he told me his company charged a two hour minimum! I asked why did you say you would charge my insurance for 1 hour!? He said I thought it would take 20 minutes. I said it took 40 he stated I wenched over 100 feet. I understand that but it took 40 minutes. Then he ran my card which was declined he then got angry threw his clipboard at his windshield and then slammed the tow truck door in my face. Then after talking to my insurance company he threatened to have my car impounded. I read the receipt he created and it said he started the job at 730 and needed at 916. He actually arrived at 805 and was done at 846. He complained at roughly 835 about how much he had chain he had to clean up so I helped him clean up the amount of chain he was complaining about. I also helped him set up the tow by carrying tow chain to my truck! I would never recommend this company and feel sorry for anyone who is stuck dealing with them! read more

After this tow truck company repo my car it was taken to this tow yard and held and later transferred to Sacramento to brasher. upon picking up my car i noticed the transmission had been damaged due to the tow truck company towing my car with the drive wheels down on a automatic causing severe damage to the car. I informed the company of the damage and was told that they were not responsible for the transmission and would not give their insurance info so that the damages could be fixed. This company should be held accountable for their driver and customer property and all car should be return back to customer in the same working condition before they were towed. if this company is going to hire tow truck drivers that don't know their jobs it should be shut down and their business license should be revoked read more

To say I can't say enough good things about this business doesn't hold a candle to how many stars I'd like to give them! Amazing service! My husband was on his way to work at 1:30 in the morning, stopped to get gas and our HD Street Glide won't start back up. The bike was not in a good area of Vallejo so we were in a really horrible bind. He had to get to work, called our daughter to pick him up and had to leave the bike. I was in WI at that time when I got his call at 2:00 am. Our insurance company said there was no flat bed tow trucks anywhere in Vallejo. So from WI at 2:00 in the morning, I started googling and calling tow companies in nearby cities. After calling 5 different tow companies, not getting anyone to help, I'm now getting in a real panic I won't get anyone to tow the bike. I got lucky when I called Jeff Ramirez Tow and spoke with Tim. I explained my story and he said he'd call me right back. He called back within 5 minutes, said he woke his guy and he's on the way. Wow! Just that easy! I called my daughter and she met Nigel at the bike at 3:00 am. Nigel was very nice to our young 17 year old daughter, followed her back to our house, backed the tow truck up our steep driveway and put the bike in the garage (without a scratch!). We were willing to pay whatever it took to get our bike in a safe area so we were expecting the worse on a tow bill. He came from Vacaville at 3:00 in the morning, took the bike to our house in Vallejo and you'd think he just came across town with how much it cost us. Like I said...there is not enough good things to say about these guys. They really saved our butt! Thank you Tim and Nigel! I will be stopping in with donuts and a tip for Nigel as a thanks for the wonderful service beyond anything we could have ever expected! read more

Being from Oakland, I have never experienced or even heard of someone getting their car from a tow yard, with nothing missing!! My friend totaled my car this past thursday around noon. I wasnt notified by him until almost 2am. The text notifcation was literally,"I totaled your car, no joke, my fault". I couldnt get him to answer the phone or tell me where my car was. He finally sent me a picture that captured the license plate of the tow truck. On my 3rd call to the CHP with this new piece of information, I was told that per policy they couldnt tell me. What the officer did though was call the tow company to get permission to pass their information along to me. When I called them at 4am, I was asked to call back after 8am. By the time I was able to call around 9am, I got a wonderfully nice woman on the phone named Cat. This being "my" first accident, I was freaking out about my car, about whether my insurance would cover my friend driving it. What I was going to do for work. How was I going to get out there to get my belonings from the car. A tad hysterical. Cat was the first person to give me the most information that I received since finding out about my car. It has apparently hit the center divide, rolled 5 times into a ditch on the roof. It took them 2 1/2 hours to get my car out. There was another car involved in the accident, but she believed they did not need medical care. Cat explained the process of the tow yard and said i just needed my ID and registration papers to gain access to my car. At which point I started freaking out again, cause the registration was in my car, and no i didnt have a copy. She sent someone to check my car for it, and they were able to locate it. She also explained the fees and urged me to push my insurance to get the car out of their yard asap as it would build fees daily. Upon arriving, every employee there knew the moment i said what my car was, that it was going to be devastating for me to see, Which it was. Everyone I encountered was super nice. They didnt rush me in grabbing my stuff. Or roll their eyes at my burst of tears every few minutes. For such a crappy situation, they made walking through it as easy and bareable as could be. read more

I had a flat tire about a month ago. I called J. Ramirez Tow and Jeff answered the phone. He was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable about the year/ make/ model of my car and what his driver would need to do to help me, and dispatched one of his drivers quickly for me. When the driver got close to my location he called me to let me know he was near and provided and even more accurate ETA. Upon arrival, the driver was very quick, very professional, and very kind. He even made sure I had a place in mind to take my car and was able to tell me exactly how far/ how fast I'd be able to travel on my spare. I have very little knowledge about cars so that was really helpful information. The driver also knew exactly what information he would need from me to direct bill my insurance company. I was so impressed! Thank you J. Ramirez Tow for turning my unfortunate situation into a pleasant experience. I appreciate your excellent customer service and although I hope to not have another flat tire for a very long time :) I'll choose you when I do! read more

These guys are GREAT to work with! Our non-profit program delivers meals to home-bound seniors throughout Solano County. One of our delivery vans got a flat tire yesterday and our driver was stranded! He had meals in the van and there were hungry seniors waiting. With one phone call Robert and Jeff got a tow truck out and put our driver back on the road in a fast and affordable manner. We tell everyone that "we deliver a difference" to many seniors in our county and yesterday Ramirez J Towing "delivered a difference" to us. My vehicle was repo-ed & stored here for 1 day, yet I was charged for 2 days. J Ramirez towing is only open from 9am-11:30am then 1pm-3:30pm. Small windows of time when you have to drive almost 2 hours to get your vehicle. It's a wonder they even have an office there at all. The men I dealt with were somewhat rude & cold even though I had no problem paying all fees & money owed right away. There was garbage left in my car, gas station bag/giant diet rockstar can. I keep a bunch of change in my side door, all of that was gone. I'm not sure as to who did all that in one day, as when they came to tow my car I made them drive it out, because my car can only be towed on a flatbed. Not very knowledgeable on different car suspensions I assume. All in all, I received my car & didnt have to wait long, but I would never recommend this towing service. read more
