When I came in for my second oil change I was told because my car reached the threshold of 15,000 I had to have a few services done in addition to my oil change and I complied. I waited for the services to be completed and paid for it in full. However, the next morning my engine light appeared and a message stating that I had an engine malfunction was on my dash after these additional services. called the dealership twice and no answer. They charge quite a bit to not be available. I have loud noises coming from my engine that I didn't have prior to service and it is reprehensible. I have bought and sold many cars over the years and Jeff Wyler Eastgate was, bar none, the worst experience I ever had. They employ deceptive practices and openly lie. Their reviews on here and elsewhere are awful for a reason. Avoid at all costs. They sold me a car without a title, violated State vehicle codes, avoided and evaded my calls and completely ignored the defect title Fund statutory code. **Absolutely Disappointed - Poor Service After Just Two Weeks of Ownership** I purchased/leased a vehicle from Jeff Wyler Hyundai of Eastgate and within just two weeks--with only about 700 miles on it--I had to bring it back due to a persistent sensor warning that wouldn't turn off. Prior to bringing it in, I carefully cleaned all the sensors and there was no visible damage whatsoever. When I arrived, I completed a walk-around inspection with the service tech, who also confirmed there was no visible damage at that time. I even wiped off the bumper and sensor area right in front of them to ensure everything was clean. However, after they ran a diagnostic test, I was suddenly told there was "visible damage" to the sensor--damage that wasn't there moments earlier and was not mentioned during the walk-around. Now, they want to charge me over $500 to repair a sensor on a car I've had for **less than a month, while I traded in a perfectly functioning 2023 Jeep Wagoneer with just 23,000 miles. This is not how you take care of your customers. It feels like I'm being taken advantage of after committing to a lease. I expected far better service and accountability from a dealership like Jeff Wyler Hyundai of Eastgate. I regret this purchase and would strongly urge others to be cautious when doing business here. Started with driving through the lot with some suburban riding my ass even though I was going 10 miles an hour. Turns out driver was a salesperson. Not good but not the real issue. That was the complete lack of willingness to negotiate. Called a dealership for a reason. Had a price from car guru and they just wanted me to take mark which was $2K more. Still not the worst. That was meeting Josh who maybe is sales manager not sure. He was completely unhelpful. When we tried to leave he made a disrespectful and sarcastic comment about the shirt I was wearing. STAY FAR, FAR away! I was in a car crash early May that totaled my vehicle so I began the car shopping process. Upon arriving for my test drive at Jeff Wyler my boyfriend & I had been told "Kerri" would be helping us. HOWEVER Kerri was nowhere to be found. As we searched for mythical Kerri not a SINGLE other soul attempted to help us. Come to find out Kerri excused herself from work mid-day and went home. We landed with a salesgirl who looked like she'd rather drag herself across glass than be at work. During the test drive she talked like we were old bar buddies & threw profanity in between every other word. I have pretty colorful language myself, but thought this was an interesting choice while working with a customer. We also had the pleasure of listening to her take her personal calls from the back seat. While reviewing final numbers I see "accessories" listed in the pricing & asked for clarification. She explained it was a 6/6 warranty & some other BS. In total it was over an extra $3,000 of add on BS. I asked for it to all be removed. She removed but explained that the pulse light breaking they could not remove b/c it comes pre-installed". I found out later that this is a BS claim. We meet with the finance man, & find the car comes with a free 6/6 warranty (let's not forget the one they tried to add on). NOW THE FUN PART Mon. morning (less than 48 hrs. after purchase) check engine light goes off!! I call & they tell me to bring it in. Drop the car off Tues night. I wait all day Wed. but nothing. Call that same afternoon & talk to a Darian. She informs me they have found the issue but want to be sure that is the cause. They say they need to keep it one more day. Thurs. comes & again no word. I call again & told they have ordered the part but that it will not be here till Fri. Fri comes & NOTHING. I call AGAIN & am told definietly Sat it will be done. I returned the rental car Sat. morning since I was assured it would be done.. It is 11:15am & still not heard from anyone when they close at noon. I call service area & no answer. I am transferred to gorilla world & I explain I am looking for an update on my car & that it is being worked but that no one is answering the service area. AGAIN NO ANSWER. This cycle continues 2 more times. I call AGAIN & ask for a manager hoping they know SOMETHING. He puts me on hold to walk over & check the service area. He comes back to tell me there is no ford key back there & NO FORD EXPLORER that he can see. My car is MIA. The operator transfers me to the Mazda sales/ customer service area. I connect with an ANGEL of a woman named Kirsten. I explain & break down in tears from frustration. She puts me on hold as she calls the service area herself & comes back to tell me they didn't answer for her. She now gets her manager involved & says she is going to find out what is going on & give me a call back ASAP. She calls 10 minutes later & says she spoke to someone & was assured the car would be ready for pick up at 1:30! THE GRAND FINALE We drive over to the service area lot & upon pulling in no sign of the car. We walk inside & a salesman comes over. He goes back to check. Returns with "there is no Ford key back there" & has no idea what car we're talking about. He sends us back over to gorilla building. We walk over & finally see my car! Enter the doublewide trailer & tell a salesman the situation. He walks back into a room, emerges with my key, & tosses it to me. No apology or anything. TO TOP IF ALL OFF I receive a random text from "Dave" on May 16th (2 weeks after the purchase) that they had "forgotten to have me sign a contract" & wanted to send a car for me immediately to bring me in? It's giving Taken. I texted back & said I did not live or work close by ( I am almost 45 minutes away) but that if they could scan it over I would be happy to sign. No response. Brought my car in on Thursday morning, Hannah was our "service adviser" and she told me I would be contacted by 6:00 PM. At 4:44 PM I called and left a message but no return call. Got a call the next day my 2023 Elantra N had a recall and that is what causing my issue. I was told the part would not come in until the following week. I asked for a loaner and was told none were available. Tuesday the following week I called and left a message to find out the status of my car. Nobody returned my call. I called Wednesday morning and got a hold of Hannah where she stated they were still waiting on part, it would be 2-3 more days. I asked for a loaner and told there was none available. The following morning, I got a text message my car was ready which was surprising since I was told the day before it would be 2-3 days. Picked it up and 5 minutes into the drive, my car lost power. Immediately returned it to Hannah and told her it was still not working and that I wasn't happy. Friday morning I get a text from Hannah quote "Good morning, we found the vibration you're feeling when driving is due to two wheels on two different tires. We are getting an estimate ready for you". Firstly, I never said anything about a vibration and secondly and very concerning, I just had 4 brand new tires put on three weeks prior so why am I getting an estimate to replace 3 week old tires. Shady and sketchy. I was asked to ride with tech to make sure car was running fine. While waiting for tech, a couple dropping off their car asked for a loaner and the service advisor was happy to accommodate them but they had my car for 8 days and none were ever available. Eastgate complained about leaking water due to the glass windshield and the rearview mirror falling down, they told me they fixed it (windshield and rearview mirror) got it home seven days later the rearview mirror fell back down kept calling and going back-and-forth until eventually the service manager called then they told it bring it back in to get the glass replaced. but then after the back-and-forth about getting the glass done because they never did it to begin with they finally did it move forward to my 2025K5 took it in for service February 6 went in with low pressure on the driver back tire now mind you I'm supposed to have. tires rotated only to see that when it was time for me to leave the same tire still had low pressure, but they told me they rotated the tires service manager sitting right there came out to talk to me or asked what can he do to help then they told me come back to check it. did was put air in my tire. I purchased a 2022 Kia Telluride brand new from this company. The past 6 months or so we have had a couple issues with a tire that keeps leaking and took it in to be looked at. Turns out all of our tires are bald and dry rotted. Keep in mind there's the original tires that we bought with the car, the car only has 37,000 miles on it so it should be covered under warranty. This dealership sold me a 2018 vehicle with 23,000 miles on it for $24,000 in 2020. The transmission went out in a year and a half and they attempted to make me pay for it despite the thousands of extra dollars that I had paid for a full warranty. They finally agreed to pay for it, only for that transmission to go out in another year and a half. They are not willing to do anything about this lemon that they sold me, and I have now lost my home, my job, and my car because I am unable to pay for the 2nd transmission. Id like to start by saying they were NO HELP over the phone we got hung up on a FEW times. They dont do inspections for every vechile before selling. Not to mention the guy who we were on the phone with said they dont do certain inspections then continued ti say he never said that! My car had a closed recall for a bad torque convertor that they failed to look into or notify me about. Poor workmanship. Hit a raccoon in my car that busted my turbo intercooler. Took to the collision center and they put a new intercooler on but forgot the gasket. Jeff Wyler also didn't put a plastic clip fastener back in my headlight trim after the lost it, almost cause me to lose my trim. My engine began to misfire and couldn't figure out why. Honda had my car for 3 weeks and finally found that Jeff wyler forgot to put a gasket on. I took it back to Jeff wyler and they did fix it and put the headlight clip in, but this does leave a bad taste in my mouth. My family has also had mixed feelings about the collision center. Make sure you double check everything yourself before taking the car home from them. *UPDATE* My car started to misfire again after wyler put the gasket on. When I changed the oil I sent some off to Blackstone Labs to have it analyzed. BL informed me that my engine had sucked in a bunch of water, debris, etc during the 2 month period of my intercooler having no gasket. I called wyler and they insisted that could not be the issue and it was a defeat in the car somewhere else. I kept pushing until wyler took my car in to investigate. They tore the entire engine down and thought they found something but retracted their findings and said everything is good and up to spec. Unfortunately my car was not fixed and began misfiring again. Since then, I have gotten rid of the car and bought a new Accord. I will never, EVER go to wyler for anything. My appointment was at Mazda but they couldn't do it because my car is lowered so they sent it to Nissan. Nissan broke my drain plug (last 2 oil changes were at Mazda same dealership). No one told me anything and I had to ask twice why it was taking so long. Then they said that they had to order the oil for it and were waiting for it to be delivered. WTF? Oil is oil. I recently purchased a vehicle from Jeff Wyler Eastgate and I have never been part of such a terrible transaction from the very beginning. I was buying this vehicle sight unseen which is not easy to do to begin with, but under the right circumstances, is doable. Good communication is the key to such a transaction. Here are a few of the facts surrounding the purchase: 1. They listed the car as black when if fact it was graphite grey. 2. I asked the salesman to point out any imperfections, both inside and out. He neglected to send photos of the majority of the imperfections. 3. When the vehicle was delivered, it was filthy dirty and many of the imperfections were difficult to see. All 4 rims had severe rim rash which the dealership agreed to pay for the repairs. 4. I wanted to transfer my plates to the new vehicle, but they couldn't or wouldn't get that done. They sent me a temporary which expired before the new plates were delivered. Therefore, I had no way to drive the car until the new license plates showed up which was a week later. 5. We completed the transaction on May 9th,2033. But, Jeff Wyler Eastgate didn't pay the Illinois Sales taxes until June 27th,2023. The taxes were due within 30 days of the sale. I received a letter from the State of Illinois imposing a fine for late sales tax payment of $288.13. I paid the tax when I purchased the car on May 9th. I sent a copy of the letter from the State of Illinois to Jeff Wyler via email requesting payment of the fines and penalties and they refused. Therefore, I was penalized due to their tardiness in paying the taxes. 6. I spoke to the salesman and he had the sales manager call me to tell me they were not going to pay the fine or late fees. In addition, the sales manager was extremely rude on the phone and hung up on me. 7. By the way, this vehicle was over $100,000. Do yourself a favor, don't even consider doing business at Jeff Wyler Eastgate. read more

I wish I would have seen all these negative reviews before I attempted to purchase a car from them. They had the exact Jeep I was looking for on their lot. It was listed on cars.com (I have screenshots) showing a price of $53,695. Note this was listed as the price, not the MSRP. The salesman, Jerry Lang, emailed me the sticker...but failed to tell me (after 5 days of correspondence) that the Jeep was at Jeff Wyler Columbus and each dealership was independently owned and operated. Now I understand why he couldn't give me a price for the vehicle...because they didn't own it!! I sent the salesman an email and copied the President, CEO and General Manager asking why they weren't willing to sell me the vehicle at the advertised price and they just avoided me. I'm visiting the area. A close friend has had some medical issues and I came to help out for a few weeks. One of the items on the to-do list was getting the oil changed in my friend's Mitsubishi, so I took the car to the dealer for the oil change. Michael Lindsey was the service consultant who helped me out with the oil change. He was very nice and attentive. Since it wasn't my vehicle, he was especially good at letting me know what was going on. When the oil change was complete, he told me the vehicle needed front end brakes (he was correct) and was willing to do the brakes that day. That didn't work for me so I scheduled the brakes for a few days later. He told me to call the day before to reserve a loaner car. I called the day before and left a message and he called me back within minutes. When I took the vehicle back for the brakes, he again was accommodating and had a loaner car for me. He called me an hour after I dropped the car off to tell me that they had all the parts needed and the car would be ready by noon. At 11:30 he called to tell me the car was ready. I went in to pick up the car and he, once again, did a great job of being positive and of processing my payment. Michael started my day out right and kept it going that way. I have no knowledge of Jeff Wyler dealerships but I have to say that they have a gem in Michael Lindsey. He could sell ice to an Eskimo. read more

He was rude and dismissive. I asked about driving one of three cars I found on your website. He asked if I was ready to do business today or if I was just driving cars. I had my car serviced and needed a tire replaced this past week utilizing my extended warranty I had purchased when I got my car initially at another dealership. They handled everything professionally and quickly, and made it a painless experience! From the communication with my insurer to squeezing me in to the schedule, I felt truly appreciated as a customer, and that the business was doing everything humanly possible to make my experience easy-breezy! Mike from the east gate location tried to take full advantage of me not having much knowledge about cars. Telling me my brakes and rotors were so bad they both needed changed and he was surprised they weren't making the scrape sound. Insisted it was a "safety concern" Got home and checked them out, they were PERFECTLY FINE. also had other work done today- come to find out it didn't even need done. My car broke down and I had it towed here. They did a diagnostic on my car and told me it was my alternator and my battery. The cost was gonna be over $1500.00 to fix my car. I didn't get my car fixed there and had it towed to another place and was told it was not my battery or my alternator but the fuel pump. I had to pay for the diagnostic test $192.00 for the wrong diagnostic. I reached out to the dealership and they refused to give me my money back for the wrong diagnostic test that they completed. I am not satisfied with the service at all. I thought taking it to the Nissan dealership would be the best place to get my Nissan fixed and they gave me the wrong information. I certainly had a memorable car shopping experience this weekend. I looked up some potential vehicles to buy and landed on one I really liked at Jeff Wyler Eastgate. So I took the trek and it wound up being a waste of my time. First and foremost, they presented me with a car that had not been serviced or cleaned. This car was completely unready for sale, yet here it was. It makes no sense to me that you would offer for sale a car with the CHECK ENGINE light illuminated, and then brush it off when I bring it up. Sam, the saleswoman assigned to me, tried to assuage my concerns but what she really did was dismiss them and condescend to me. Then came Tim. I understand that car salespeople have a certain end to meet, and high pressure tactics are part of the game they play. But what I didn't expect was to be disrespected. There's no reason, ever, you raise your voice at a customer because she doesn't want to pay for a car that has been presented in unacceptable fashion. He acted like selling me a car was doing me some kind of favor, as if I couldn't march my checking account and excellent credit to another dealership where I'd be treated with respect. Either there are enough uneducated, non-savvy shoppers in the Tri-State that keep this place operating, or folks must think there is no alternative when shopping for a vehicle nowadays. I had two experiences at two competing competitors where they used actual customer-provided Jeff Wyler sales quotations with $3500-4000 market adjustments and $800 aftermarket blinking tail lights in their sales presentations. Initially, I thought this simply couldn't be true and possibly was just another sales tactic in and of itself. A competing dealership put me up to the challenge and to reach out to Jeff Wyler Eastgate to see if my experience would be any different. The competing dealership put there money where their mouth was and I opted to take the challenge. My experience was no different. Jeff Wyler did have a vehicle I was interested in and much to my dismay, I got the same $800 aftermarket blinking tail light and $3500 market adjustment over MSRP added to the bottom line on my quote. I can assure you there other alternatives out there that don't embrace these types of deceptive selling and pricing practices you'll see at Jeff Wyler Eastgate. Bear in mind, these are exceptionally challenging times when shopping for a vehicle used or new due to limited supply / supply-chain constraints. Unfortunately, there are dealerships like Jeff Wyler that are cashing in because uneducated and foolish consumers didn't take the time to educate themselves that not every dealer operates in the same fashion as Jeff Wyler Eastgate. I can rest easy knowing I didn't end up a VICTIM paying hyped up and overinflated new car pricing at Jeff Wyler. If you go in there just for parts. The sale guys will tell you anything to get you to sit with them. Like offering more then what you owe on your car. Example $40,000 for your car. Making it like you can have extra to put down on it till it's time to really talk after finding one you want. I trusted a sales guy there. Not wanting to look but I did. Then when it come down to it they have left me hanging yet again. Like I said wasn't planning on it needed parts. So if they say anything to this aspect of things as if they can give you more to help put you in a new one. Don't believe them. They will say anything to get you to sit and listen to offers that will be to good to be true when it comes down to the let's strike a deal. Please do any and all research l first and don't trust them to do you right and follow through. If you need parts go elsewhere so you don't get pulled into the lies and let down in the end. Everything is nuts right now. I get it. I run sales at a Ford store. But what is NOT okay is charging a fluctuating cost above MSRP "around 4 to 6 grand" without putting an addendum on your vehicle stating that there is a market adjustment (and then I guess determining what you charge based on what??? The people in front of you??) There is NO statement either online or on the vehicle stating this Ram is $6k above sticker but that's what they're quoting. Jeff Wyler is adding 10K on the listed final price on their website. Apparently final price listed is not final. During a pandemic with supply chain issues I don't mind that you can't negotiate below MSRP but charging well above it and false advertising the final price looks like price gouging. We had previously bought a car from Jeff Wyler - we will never do business with any company that is price gouging in the pandemic. They should at least be upfront and list their actual prices. read more
