Honda Ridgeline was in for normal service (oil change , tire rotation,etc). When I picked up the truck, I noticed that someone had been in the backseat ( rear Passenger seat lowered, the driver side was still up but with the seatbelt was dangling below). I do not use these seats and they are always kept in the up position. I found a dirty foot print in the carpet and when lowered the driver side to replace the seatbelt, it would not return to the upright locked position. I returned to the dealership. They said the mechanic was a large person and would not have gone in the backseat. They quoted a cost of $1,679.50 to fix a bent frame. This is not possible unless their employee was in and damaged the seat area and abused the seat. read more

The buying process begins with how committed the dealership is to transparency, truth, honesty but quickly changes to lies and deceit when negotiations get serious. When I raised the question of negotiating a $400 "document fee" I was told it was a state law and nonnegotiable. I have purchased many cars over the years and it was always negotiated, but because my wife really liked the car U let it slide only to learn the state law (4517) permits but does not require the collection of the fee and the fee is negotiable. The salesman looked directly at us and lied. Do yourself a favor and try to find an honest dealership because Honda East isn't! read more

The service department is not trust worthy. I've questioned the service done on my 2021 CRV twice and have been lied to (in my opintion) by the service department. Never drop your vehicle off expecting what was schedule on the website to be what is done when you are called to pick up the vehicle. Short cuts are taken and Honda East service department will say just about anything to get you to believe they did the work as expected. The inspection they say they do each time you take your vehicle in for routine service is a joke. I don't know who looked at my vehicle on 11/17 and said my wipers were in "good condition" never looked at the back wiper blade. It's falling apart. I have a replacement just had not gotten to it. My vehicle is no longer under the extended warranty and I will no longer have my service preformed at Honda East. What a shame that the service department has gone from good to bad under current service management. read more

When I first bought the van, it was all good - I gave a positive review - but about a few months into things started to go wrong, the radio would lose power, the sliding door would sometimes not open, I'd have to reset the settings, or the radio stations - just little things. I thought it was just so fancy, it was operator error. There was an incident with the power door not closing after I tried to close it (after I saw it was going to hit something). Honda was like if you cleared the mirrors, the door should have too-wrong. Well, we got that repair done and another issue came up, door wouldn't open. Took it back to the repair and it opened but had an issue with the gas tank cover. Never heard back from the repair shop (certified dealer repair shop). Then as we were leaving for vacation, the van gave me a warning, told me to take it to the shop. The shop could find nothing wrong with it - we were leaving on vacation the next day - but they did replace the battery. After leaving for vacation, the next day, the van wouldn't start - my husband, in a parking lot with no tools, got the van started and we took it to the dealership in Myrtle Beach. They gave us a loaner, gave the van the once over - could find nothing wrong but battery cables were loose. I did leave my feedback about that (negative) and they called me right back. Now the gas tank striker and actuator is broke and I can't close my gas lid. Been trying to reach the manager for a week - finally got her to call me back and of course, I'm not at my desk. Still playing phone tag. NO! I would not buy from this dealer and I would honestly stay away from Honda. This was not a used van, it was a brand new ELITE! Nothing is ELITE about it but the issues. I have high expectations when it comes to customer service and this place just does not deliver! Not that it will matter, but I'll be calling Honda (yes, I'm a Karen) and reporting the issues I've had with the car and the dealer. read more

This review is for the service department only... NOT for sales! I am a repeat service customer to Honda East for my Ridgeline. In my research, they seem to be the lowest cost on service and in the half dozen times I have been there. When there, they have always beaten their time estimate. I have not come across any high pressure "up sales" for maintenance which seems to be the case at other dealerships in the area. While very few people are thrilled to have their vehicles serviced, coming to Honda East is a fairly painless process. read more

Purchased a new Honda CRV Premium 2023. This is my first and last Honda I will ever purchase. It has been a hassle dealing with these people from the beginning. With their overpriced vehicles you would think their services would be better. Honda's building is very old with little room to navigate their parking lot and their waiting room for services is very old dirty and cramped. They will charge you a restocking fees for even the smallest items purchased that you are not happy with. It is my experience that Honda will quote a price for your trade-in and when it comes time to finalize the deal, they will try to talk you down again even know you have already put down your deposit. Honda ONLY has a two- year 24,000-mile warranty for new vehicles. If you want a normal three- year 36,000-mile warranty you pay around $467 more and can only go to Honda East to have services performed. If you sell or trade in your car before the extended warranty goes into effect, they will only issue a prorated share of your money by conflating their original warranty with the additional coverage you purchased. They also make you go back to the where you traded in your car to get a paper verifying when you traded it in and proof of mileage. They tell me It will take four to eight weeks to get my partial money back. Bottom line I was willing to take a loss of money for my fairly new Honda on a trade in towards a new Toyota in order get away from Honda East. They talk to you as if your stupid. It is my opinion that Honda East are thieves and buyer beware. read more

Don't waste your time buying the Honda Care extended warranty. I purchased the road side assistance and tire warranty. I had a flat tire and never could get them to come and get me in Amelia OH, 15 minutes from their dealership. Then as soon as the warranty expired was on vacation in Florida and the AC went out. Went to another Honda dealership in Ft. Walton Beach was quoted $1200 for labor plus parts totaling almost $2000. Called Honda East multiple times for help and was told someone would get back to me. 4 hours later still nothing. Also I will never but another Honda!! read more

Booked an appointment for a single, simple service.. an oil change.. and was told it would be about an hour. So I decided to just wait in the lobby which was 100 degrees and crowded. So I (luckily) had a friend pick me up. An hour and a half pass so I call to check in because I hadn't heard anything yet. I was told it would be about another 30 minutes. So I showed up at the shop and my car STILL wasn't finished. Meanwhile a person that came in after me was finished before mine???? If you know that your appointments are running THAT FAR BEHIND, please for the love of all is holy call and let the person know. We have lives outside of waiting two hours for an oil change to be completed. Needless to say, the customer service sucks and I would rather go to valvoline from here on out for a simple service like an oil change. read more

I purchased a Pilot 3 years ago from Honda East, which was my second vehicle purchased from this dealership. Both were the most enjoyable vehicle purchases ever. However, now I'm also enjoying their service dept every bit as well. If you own a Honda, you need to get it serviced here. An example, synthetic oil changes, $52. Excellent price! Even when shopping for a new car, no comparison. I visited several dealerships, very negative results. Honda East, I got the vehicle I wanted, cheaper than the other dealers, and very easy to deal with, without the games some dealerships pull. I signed papers within 20 minutes. read more

I'm confused as to why you're accepting scheduled appointments if I have to wait for two hours just to get my transmission oil changed. If I knew that, I wouldn't come at all. I was thinking to move my business there since I have two Honda vehicles, but from the first impression, I will rethink it, but still, I may give it another try(won't judge from the first time.) The shuttle bus service wasn't helpful to me since I live 16 miles away. Additionally, my bill was higher than it should have been. The price for the service should have been $103 plus tax, but I ended up paying around $128 with Shop Charges!!! This wasn't made clear when I scheduled the appointment. I am extremely dissatisfied with the payment and the amount of time I waited. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly. For the multi-point check-up, no one discussed that with me. read more

I have had experiences in the past with other dealership's service departments where they attempt to "oversell" parts and service when they may not be immediately necessary and often are expensive. That has not been the case with Honda East's service department. Their service has always been done well, quickly, and as inexpensively as could be expected. I have always been able to wait for my car in the waiting lounge, thereby avoiding the need to have my wife pick me up and bring me back later to pick up the car. Making service appointments is very easy. So I have been very pleased with Honda East. read more

Took My 2008 honda pilot there for transmission issues. I did the recommended service for around $1800. The transmission died 3 weeks later. They now want $4200 for a used transmission. I was concerned with the first repair, and asked if they would help if it didn't fix the issue. I was assured they would but was 95% sure it would be fixed. Thier idea of helping is knocking $500 off the $4200. I asked the Manger Nicole if they could do a little more. She was rude durning the conversation. Needless to say they didn't offer anymore help. They don't stand behind their diagnostic or their repair. Be careful if you decide to use Honda east. read more

Awesome service guys. These low scores are more about the look of this being one of the oldest dealerships in the nation and some individual bad car breakdown experiences. You cannot get a better price on several of the basic services like changing transmission fluid, coolant or oil (well maybe if you buy oil online etc) but this is a good dealership. read more

Have been going to Honda East for over 20 years. Kenny on the night shift is great! Prices are higher than other car shops but we trust them. They have always been very truthful. They also will drive you home during normal business hours. Their car wash broke so they will give you Johnny's Car wash coupons. We also purchased a new car from them in the past. You have to negotiate like any car dealer. Their used cars are higher priced because Hondas sell. Look on their website for coupons. read more

The vehicle I wanted was a 2017 Accord Sedan Ex-L V6 w/Honda Sensing and this was the closest dealership to Atlanta with it in stock. Gary Pable was a well seasoned sales associate whom answered the phone for me night and day, even on Thanksgiving, to answer any questions I had regarding finance and options. This sale took nearly a month but I never felt pressured to buy or pressed to spend anything extra than I wanted to. Gary explained everything to me clearly and when I thought too hard about simple concepts, he brought me back to reality. I've taken my Honda to 3 dealerships in the area for service and this is the only one that I will not return to. After experiencing transmission trouble, I paid for a diagnostic and was told that the fluid smelled burnt and that replacing the transmission was the only option ($4,500). Luckily I got a second opinion from AAMCO, who referred me to a local, independent mechanic after they found a bad catalytic converter. Both AAMCO and the local mechanic knew immediately that a bad catalytic converter will overheat, causing the transmission to malfunction exactly as I had described. According to the transmission shop and the mechanic (and my own inspection before I took it to Honda East), the fluid in the transmission was in perfect condition, bright pink and not burnt-smelling at all. In addition, the mechanics at Honda East had seen the diagnostic code indicating a bad catalytic converter (they printed it out for me) but are either ignorant of the connection to the transmission problem, or chose not to share the information with me. Either way, I recommend going to a different shop. read more

Repair called and told me that the transmission on my 2003, standard Honda Civic was gone and it would be more than $4K to fix it. I took it down the street to Aamco down the street to get another opinion. Diagnosis? Clutch was shot. Got the clutch repaired for $800 and it has been driving like 'buttah' ever since. read more

Never received my memorandum title to get my plates and after being lied to about a new set of temporary plates to last until I received my title I was told to go across the street to get a copy of my title, which I had to pay for. Never an apology from anyone at that dealer. In the past I've been very pleased with the service of this place. I brought my car in for a 40k mile service and during my wait I was informed that my brakes are "shot" and needed to be replaced immediately or the car would not be safe to drive. The estimate was for $575 plus tax to have the front and rear brake pads replaced, plus the rotors resurfaced. This seemed very odd to me due to not having any braking issues or noise from them. I asked how bad they were and was told that the front pads were at 2mms and the rear pads were at 2mms and 1mms. I thought the price was high for brake pads being changed. After I left, I called Tires Plus. They quoted me at $109 per axle (car has two axles), so $218 plus tax and that was with new brake pads all around and the rotors being resurfaced (the same service Honda offered) Two days later, I brought my car to Tires Plus to get the work done. I was called two hours later and was informed that my rear brakes were actually not in need of being replaced due to having more than 4mms of life left. As for the front brakes, they said I had a little more than 2mms and should be changed, so I went with the recommended service. My conclusion.... The dealership (Honda East) either has shady, untrustworthy employees or they had an equipment malfunction. For someone to tell you this is a must have repair or it could put you in danger is very dishonest. They wanted to charge me for 5 hours of labor but told me its a 2-2.5 hour job. They said they were not able adjust the amount of time for this.... Please get a second opinion if possible. read more

Bait and switch!! We had agreed to pay the price the salesperson stated and wrote down for a used Honda. It was already over our budget but it was a quality car. The salesperson went to check on their financing rates and came back to say " I made a mistake. That car is actually $29xxx. So here's what your payment is. " I said no that's not what we agreed to. His response was "well there are two blue ones online and I looked at the wrong one to give you the price. Do you want to look at the other one?" Also the lot was so disorganized. Used were mixed in with new and there are no prices on the car windows and the salesperson starts of by telling you there's no negotiating. What a crock! read more

We had such a wonderful experience buying our new Honda Odyssey! I can't say enough good things about Honda East! It was our first true car buying experience and we were so pleased with them compared to another Honda dealership where we had started earlier in the day. At the other dealership they tried to bait and switch us on the interior color of the van, even though we had gone back and forth MANY times through email and text about the exact model and color we wanted. They told us there were zero odyssey's that were black on black within 500 miles and it would be at least two months before they could get us exactly what we wanted. Or said we could pay $1600 to have the whole interior color changed from gray to black. My husband called their bluff, called Honda East because their website said they had three on their lot and conveniently they had exactly what we wanted. We immediately drove there, and even though they closed at 6, they stayed with us to close the deal until 7:30. Brady was amazing to work with, finance was amazing and everyone else was great too. Straight forward, gave us a fair price for our trade ins. We were very pleased with how we were treated and how quickly they tried to make the process. Thanks again for our new van! read more
