Location is ideal for a speakeasy, it feels illegal. Great decor/ambiance. Staff dresses the part, and are super friendly. The drinks...a disappointment: wife got a vodka martini with ice on a non-martini glass; my old-fashioned had ice chips, no orange peel, had a proper cherry -but no little dribble of its syrup. read more

We had visited this location years ago when it was a dive bar. We heard there were new owners so decided to try another visit-and we are so glad we did! This place is worlds away from the dive bar it used to be. In fact, from the moment we walked in, we were transported into a speakeasy of the past. Every type of liquor is unique and top shelf. The cocktails are specially crafted for various tastes. The ambiance of jazz music, low lights, and copper furnishings make this a special place. There is a staff of two currently, and both are extremely knowledgeable of their cocktail craft and the history of liquors. Excellent visit, we will be back! read more

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The drinks are sophisticated and everyone that works there is so friendly and knowledgeable. Walking in there truly transports you to a speakeasy with the fireplace going on the tv and the jazz music flowing. They do a lot of modern songs covered by which is so fun! read more

20 minutes at the bar. Three people were staffed behind the bar with only one working. The only person to acknowledge that we sat down at the bar was the woman to our right that was there longer than us without service. I love what they've done with the place. A lot of effort had been put in to make it look like a speakeasy. One of the best experiences in terms of ambience. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the drinks. They have regular cocktail stuff but no signature drink that makes it worthwhile. Even something like an old fashioned seems average. Definitely go here for a night out, just don't expect anything great. read more

Not sure if it's legally wrong, but to me, definitely morally and ethically wrong to pass off your brand of vodka for a specifically named vodka. Then, when confronted, are told "Most vodka drinkers can't tell the difference anyway!" I ordered 2 drinks that tasted off and didn't say anything because I didn't want to embarrass my date who suggested the place. So, I was made to look like a fool instead! Simply WRONG! read more

Checked this place out yesterday for their grand opening party; what a gem! You would never know fromabsolutely the outside just how nice of a place you are walking into. Lots of bar seating, high tables, dark lighting and wood; it's basically begging you to order something with bourbon. We sampled some of the special 'opening day' cocktails as well as some from the regular menu. The Spirit of '76 was delightful! I love a good espresso martini and this might be the best I've had. We ordered some nibbles to go with our drinks which were very good as well. If you are looking for something different, or a place for a nice date evening/afternoon check this place out! The owner is very friendly and knowledgable; I enjoyed chatting with him. I hope this place does well. It's a wonderful alternative to going out in Providence. I could absolutly stay at one of the two bars for a couple of hours. Well done! read more
