Stopped in on a Monday afternoon. They have happy hour from 3-6pm on weekdays. We started with the nachos and a bucket of 312. For $10 the nachos were big and delicious! Beef was well seasoned and the jalapeños added a kick. 312s were 5 for $25. They also have boneless wings on the happy hour menu, which looked great as well at another table. Next time! We also got a mini cookie skillet for dessert, which was delicious! The cookie had a nice crust on the edges and was gooey in the middle. Served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Delicious! I'll start with the good, it's a good looking place and the foot looked great, however we did not get any. It's rather small, which is ok, but our service took forever. Was busy but still for the size would expect quicker, took 10 min to get our beers, then he never came back for the tab even though we told him that was it. Luckily I had cash or I probably would have ditched. The prices ate stupid, 8.50 for a miller lite is insane, I don't care where you are a basic light beer should never be so much. 10 bucks for a IPA is so crazy, unless you are brewing then there. I stopped in for a margarita with Tajín -- refreshing and just the right kick -- and followed it up with a salmon dinner that really hit the spot. Went here after looking at some apartments with my brother. Just needed a quick bite to eat around 3 ish. Service was quick, and the menu had a lot of different options. I was really happy about their cold brew martini! It was so good! It was like an espresso martini but sweeter, as a cold brew lover, I was in heaven! We got spinach dip and the chips were fresh, but I was a bit disappointed in the pita as it was super rough. I got the chipotle chicken sandwich and it was perfect! Smoked gouda was chefs kiss and the chipotle mayo they used had like the perfect bit of spice! Definitely recommend that! My brother got the bbq smoked sliders and said they were really good too. Both of us ended up taking home leftovers and were able to enjoy them the next day. Not much to say about the feel of the place, average local bar, it was starting to get more folks in as we were leaving, probably a good spot to grab a beer after work and watch whatever sports you're into. read more

Staff was friendly when you could get their attention, but they seemed overwhelmed with a weekday after work crowd, and it really wasn't crowded. Stopped in for dinner after a day of travel and had a solid experience. Service was a bit slow, but we were in no hurry and they were SLAMMED with customers. Once a few diners left, our service was great, and the food and drink were top notch. It was a group of 4 and we had the pretzel bites to munch on while we waited for our food. They were a nice-sized serving, and very tasty. I got the Buffalo Chicken Salad...one of the best I've ever had. Spicy chicken, blue cheese crumbles AND dressing, and very fresh veggies. It was excellent! Others in our group got the Turkey Burger (good, not remarkable), the Nashville Hot Chicken (they accomodated with grilled chicken on request-nice!), and a Chicken Avocado Wrap - very good. We've been eyeballing this place since we moved to the area, but never got around to trying it til tonight! Loved the vibe of this neighborhood restaurant! Even though it wasn't busy when we went, I can totally see this as being somewhere you go any day when you just want some good food, simple drinks, and a chill time with friends. Jefferson Tap checked the boxes for dinner tonight. I like that it's tucked away on the side of the street because sometimes, trying to catch a bite on Randolph or in Fulton Market is just tooooooo much and too loud. It was nice being able to walk in, choose our seats from a variety of indoor and outdoor options, and not have to deal with being around a ton of people. Our server was great! Super nice and came by check on us not too much and not too little. We ordered the pretzel breadsticks (?) with cheese sauce, burger burrito, and the fish & chips. Portions were great for the price in my opinion, and the food was piping hot when it came out. I can see how others may think that it's too pricey, but for the area, it's honestly standard. It's nice to go out and support local restaurants instead of paying literally the same or MORE for delivery from subpar places. Would love to come back again someday! read more

God awful service and food. I waited at my table for almost 20 mins to even have someone come over and say hello. I would have left before that but it was late and I was from out of town. The servers seemed more interested in taking care of their regulars. I only went to this place after it was recommended by the hotel I was staying at. I was finally greeted and my order was taken. I had the chicken panini. The chicken was dried out and tasteless. I've had better from fast food restaurants. When it came time for the bill they charged me for their workers healthcare costs. You read that right. An actual line item on the receipt had that on there. That should be included in the cost of the food not a line item telling everyone they give their employees healthcare. Virtue signaling? I was also charged 20% automatically for the tip since it was apparently an event night which I couldn't tell since their weren't that many people there. If I had been given the opportunity to reduce what I was going to tip I wouldn't be writing this review. I went back to the hotel I was staying at let them know about my experience to which they said they would stop recommending them. ps I also had to yell loudly "miss" several time to get the attention of the server after my food was brought out and I wasn't given silverware or a napkin. We recently hosted an event in the Loft and it was the perfect space. The staff was amazing and the use of the screens and TV's made it a great place for a presentation. I was there with a few friends at the bar recently we all drink bourbon most of us straight up a couple on ice I watched our waitress pour less than a full of glass ice and charged us an extremely expensive amount of money for the amount of the poor we is what it is when we a second round the bartenders are too busy talking to the locals and giving out free drinks to them versus actually providing service we left and went to New Line a much better choice in the neighborhood. read more

Walked in on Friday 2/16 at 6:05 pm watched the bartender and waitress behind the bar down 2 full shots 5 seconds apart. Waited around for a few minutes to be seated but the staff seemed to distracted to care. I've been here hundreds of times but things have changed. I live in the neighborhood, have been here many times, and incredibky disappointed with the experience we had today. Just awful food and service was no better. Two of us came in for a Bloody Mary, and some lunch. We ordered a Reuben sandwich and grilled cheese. The Reuben wasn't horrible, but the bread was likely old or grilled too long because it was hard to even break off and chew. The basic grilled cheese sandwich had one side of the bread grilled, the other was not. Each of ordered the French fries and potatoes as our side. Neither order was hot and they didn't taste fully cooked. Blech! Disgusting food! We did share our dissatisfaction with the waiter, but he cared less. Spoke to guy sitting next to us who ordered a pizza who told us that the pizza wasn't very good either. Also, beware of this happening in Chicago- they added in a service charge to the bill - for what they claim is to help cover employees healthcare costs. I've seen this before, and find it ridiculous. At other restaurants you do have the ability to ask for that additional charge to be removed, but not here. Can't afford to pay for employees benefits - that is not my problem. This isn't fine dining and this charge is offensive at a bar like this is. My friend is in the service industry and swore she will never be back. I've watched her be a very generous tipper, but that didn't happen today, we left basic 20%. Overall, I would just SKIP the place it's just not good food. Not sure what's changed or what's happened here, but by all means just avoid it. Many other good lunch joints to find out there. read more

This was my second time here, and the service was noticeably worse the second time around. I arrived before my friend that I was supposed to meet here, and when I went inside, a waitress met eyes with me, then went to the back and continued working. After awkwardly standing around for a minute, I followed her to the back and asked for a table, and she seemed surprised by the fact I wanted to be seated. Why else would I walk into a restaurant and stand by the entrance...? I sat outside and my friend arrived shortly after. A different waitress came to help us (Melissa, I think), and throughout the night, she seemed eager to get us out of there and was generally rude and aggressive. I ordered the steak wrap, which apparently comes with a side of rice instead of a choice of sides that are listed on the menu, which she didn't explain, and when I said I want tater tots, thinking I still had to choose a side, she sounded impatient and weirded out that I didn't know how their steak wrap ordering process operates ("so you don't want the rice?" - how am I supposed to know there was a side of rice without any context...?). The bad service continued, with her asking if we need boxes while we were still eating, but then taking her time to get the check after we put our cards down. Looking back, the food was okay, nothing special, but the bad service made the whole experience unenjoyable that I don't even really remember exactly how the food was. read more

Amazing food - even better service!!! Emily and Jenna were amazing! The service was top notch from remembering allergies to drink orders.
