Great place to hang out with friends, eat decent food, watch sporting events, and drink cold beer. The menu is not the most expansive I've seen in similar establishments but offers enough variety to not go home unsatisfied. The portions are huge. The waitresses can be very friendly once they come to take your order. Before that, they won't even acknowledge even if you're sitting in their section. The several times I've gone there, no hostess was on duty. I'm assuming the hostess stand is manned by whichever waitress is not busy at the time you enter? The pretzel bites appetizer is a must-have. I personally have a lot of problems with how overpriced their sauces are. Paying almost a dollar for a tiny additional sauce is sort of absurd to me. Their wings are definitely good, though, - but perhaps too expensive depending on your preference - and their burgers are as well. A co-worker suggested this place after walking by the previous night and smelling the delicious food. They advertised oysters, and I looked forward to trying the delicacies my imagination presented to me and my stomach. I was not disappointed. To be honest, I've never had oysters Rockefeller, so I really don't have a comparison. They were delicious, and filling! Having not been filled up on smaller oysters from other places, I also ordered the cahun oysters. While they were quite smaller and slightly dry, together the 18 filled me up and I struggled to finish the last two. Stopped in here for an early dinner the other night. The waitress we had was so sweet and took great care of us. I ordered the 5 piece sauced tenders (honey bbq). The pieces of chicken were quite large-- nice and crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. When she first placed them in front of me, I was worried they may not have had enough sauce but they ended up being perfect. Make sure you ask for the ranch dressing.. it was INSANELY good. I could have drank it with a straw!! The fries could have been a little crispier and the chips needed more salt but they were still pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the 15 wings. I didn't try them, but he was eating them like a savage who hasn't had food in 48 hours so I'm assuming they must've tasted pretty good. Gotta say, really disappointed in my first and probably only experience here. Went on a recommendation because "They have the best wings in town." On the menu, it even states the wings are always fresh. I'm here to tell you, my wing order wasn't. They were yesterday's wings, drenched in sauce and served cold. I ordered 15 because that was the only way you could get two different flavors of wings. I ate one and was immediately turned off. There is a LOT that could go wrong with a cold chicken wing. On a positive note they have crinkle cut fries, which are my favorite. Their ranch was pretty good too. But even the celery that came with my wings was old and dried out. Talk about simple bar food but done right. It was my first time at Jefferson's while visiting friends live in Rome, GA. They were telling me its part of chain in GA area. Not sure the other locations but friends telling me think they have it in Atlanta area?? The one in Rome is located literally right in downtown (not that saying much because Rome small city in the suburbs). Guess one of the things that makes Jefferson's unique is the walls are covered with dollar bills that people decorate with markers, crayons, or whatever your artist eye desires. My friends daughter she wanted put dollar bill up. I had dollar on me. Once your done you give it to the waiter or waitress they put it up (with kids they make sure show them where too find their dollar bill). It definitely gives the place personality. The food like mention before basic bar food lot of fried food, burgers, sandwiches, and more. They also serve fresh oysters. I notice other customers ordered dozen. They were looking fresh and good. I ordered the Jefferson burger. I liked it! Basically bacon, cheese, barbecue, and pickles, lettuce, onion, tomato. The fries were good too. Everyday of the week they have different specials. The day went it was dollar off any baskets. One of my friends ordered basket of fried pickles for the table. Nothing special but it was addicting had one then keep going at it. Nothing that going blow your away with the food just solid basic bar food. It very inexpensive. They have couple wide screens in the restaurant. The interior very unique with all the dollar bills on the walls. Friends telling me in other locations crazy the amount of dollar bills. It goes on the ceilings cause they have no more room. The decor nothing special stands out, they have small bar area bar stools, and tell in suburbs with the jersey of local high schools or local teams. Dollar bills. The staff was awesome. Jefferson's is a chill hangout if you're in the mood to enjoy good company or watch a game, but aren't overly concerned with the quality of the food. Not that the food is *bad* at all. By bar standards, it's perfectly serviceable. The wings are actually quite good (there's a nice but almost subtle kick on the medium wings, and the hot isn't exactly nuclear, so when you're ordering you might want to err on the side of ordering a little hotter than usual.) While the food is certainly good enough to accompany beer and a game on the multiple screens, it's mostly premade and just heated up in the kitchen. There's nothing here you can't get in a hundred other bars on game day. The desserts are the same story - the brownies definitely came out of a box, the ice cream is nothing fancy, etc. Still, if I'm here, I'm usually working on a draft Fat Tire so I'm willing to lower my expectations a bit! The price tag is commensurate with the experience - entrees range from $7 to $14 or so. I've always been a little perplexed by all the dollar bills lining the walls at Jefferson's Cafés all over the place - it isn't called Washington's! I guess if they were $10s, more would go missing. The customer service was one of the worst experiences I've ever had and this is why I will never go there again. Another thing is that the waitress was very racist. I told her that I was 18 and she questions me again and asked to check my ID. Yes I understand that was apart of her job, but if someone of a different color (white) you should ask them to do the same thing. I proceeded to wait for like over an hour for my food and when I ask about is it finished she proceeds to tell me "if your food was done you would have it." Dropped in with our group, 6 total, on the way to a concert. I have been to their Hiram location before and the Rome location was similar - greasy, dirty looking... serving mostly fried, greasy foods. Our server was sweet enough, and she did a good job - but for some reason we had to ask 4x for one of our orders of fries. They finally came by the time we were all done with our meals. We also had to ask for straws for our drinks. The food was ok but I still do not get the hype of this franchise... my sisters love it and every time I go with them, I feel like I'm in a glorified truck stop diner. I don't think I've ever even written a review, but I would be doing a disservice to other patrons if I didn't. We've had poor service/ cold food here one time before, but we keep giving it a chance because it's always busy and the food is (most of the time) good. We went today and were greeted quickly and gave our order immediately. That's the last good thing that happened. 1) both the blue moon and sweet water 420 taps tasted DISGUSTING. Very clear that the taps need to be flushed. We told the server and I watched the manager try them and then tell the other servers to not sell it, but no one said anything/apologized to us. The server was unable to tell us what was available in cans/bottles. 2) after 25 minutes of waiting for our chips/queso appetizer, I asked the server for an update. I watched her to ask the kitchen then go back to the POS and clearly put the appetizer in 3) we finally got the appetizer, great. We also ordered wings when we ordered the appetizer and after the wait, we just figured "okay, they're cooking it all fresh, no biggie". We then watched 2 other tables that came in after us get their food. 4) the last straw was when a 4top (that sat down 10 minutes AFTER we got our app) got their 2 large orders of wings. I asked the server about it and she assured us it was on the way. 5) the manager then came out and said it was a ticket printing issue and they were dropping the wings then, so we got them togo about 15 minutes later. Well the women's room is filthy, the toilet seat is broken, there's a toilet brush just laying on the floor next to the toilet. Pretty gross. I think you can tell a whole lot about a place by the state of their restrooms. I ordered food but am now kind of afraid to even eat it. Looks pretty popular in here. Honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had both before and during COVID. Waitress complained about lack of kitchen staff, which we were willing to be patient for. However, waitress did not provide adequate service in her control (refilling drinks, providing positive customer service, refilling chips, etc.). Then when I went inside to use the restroom, not only was the kitchen full of staff, but they were laughing and playing around. Clearly an issue of poor management and customer service. No apologies were issued. We will not be returning. read more

We placed a large order 5/2/24 at the Jeffersons in Rome, Ga, and a couple of the orders were wrong, we immediately called and was asked if we wanted a replacement to which we replied, No, because we only have an hour for lunch. The chicken was over fried, hard and not what was ordered. Someone ordered a Chicken sandwich and received a hamburger. We requested a refund. We were told that we needed to contact Door Dash. We called Door Dash, we were told we needed to call Jeffersons. We called Jeffersons back and they advised us that they only settled refunds at the end of the month. We waited until June 12 and called Jeffersons and spoke with the General Manager who told us that they cant do refunds that are a month out, after we were told by Jeffersons to wait a month. He told us to file a dispute with the credit card company. My thought is, (the food order was wrong and overcooked), what does that have to do with Door Dash, or my Credit Card company. Well, the service was lacking. My grilled cheese and tomato was missing tomato, the side of mayo was absent, the wings with extra celery and no chips came with two spears of celery and loads of chips, and the side salad ordered by the vegetarian was covered in bacon. However, the food was surprisingly not bad. If this was our first time eating here I would never go back. Oh wait ... this was our first time. We sat down at the table and it was dirty. We used a paper towel to wipe it and when we were done the paper towel was black. Our food took forever. We weren't sure why. The place was empty. We ordered wings as our appetizer but they came out with our meal. The wings were hot but everything else was not. The fries were soggy like they were under a heat lamp for about 30 minutes. The burgers were ordered as medium but they were past well done. The bun was toasted and it was black. We would have complained but we never saw the waitress so we gagged it down. I even had to go up to the bar to get a refill on my soda. Three waitresses were at the bar but ours was no where to be seen. The good part: the wings were good. Not world famous but ok. read more
