When I make this dish, I use ample cream in the potatoes (Irish style) and make a thicker, more moist pie, with a good deal of tomato in it. This was a bland substitute. Far better the next day when I added in enough butter to make the potatoes shine. I will give props for using lamb on this. She had the salmon patties. Fairly simple, also rather bland. Mashed potatoes as well. Breading on the okra was fine. Staff? Very friendly waiter. Answered all the questions and even described the drinks. As this has a good craft beer selection, I opted for one I had not had before and she got a smokey old fashioned. The old fasthioned did not have the cherries or orange peel you would normally see, but was rather strong and did use a rye whiskey. I would not go there for the drink, but reasonably priced. The ambiance is great. Typical of Rome, GA establishments, you can feel the history. They also have a rooftop bar and a separate bar area, for those seeking out a drink or two. Summary: The experience was good, but the food was bland. If you like to heavily salt your food, this might not be as big of a deal. On the whole, 3 stars, for average. Compared to other places in Rome, some of which are really bad, you would prefer this to many places. Nothing really bad to say, but nothing really good. Just average.

The portions are huge. The waitresses can be very friendly once they come to take your order. Before that, they won't even acknowledge even if you're sitting in their section. The several times I've gone there, no hostess was on duty. I'm assuming the hostess stand is manned by whichever waitress is not busy at the time you enter? The pretzel bites appetizer is a must-have. This is a great place to go after a long day at work when you don't want to cook and just want to eat some comfort food, drink something cold, and unwind.

Way to go on customer satisfaction. I would love to hear from upper management on why you let your managers get away with this rude and unprofessional behavior. Very very very disappointed.
