On the day of my visit I had the procedure started and a temporary crown seeded when leaving the gal at the front desk asked if I was paying card or check? I proceeded to tell her about my phone conversation with Dr. M and it blew up the room! Instantly her temperament changed and she went to get the other gal from the office, I was so taken back by how they handled this situation and basically told I was lying, I just said I would wait for them to talk to Dr. M it never got better!!! They were visibly angry as if i was making it all up. Today was the day for me to get my crown, what an uncomfortable situation. As soon as my name was called to go go back I was taken to the desk for payment I hadn't been provided the service yet and I told the gal everything I've written here. It wasn't the misunderstanding from Dr. M providing the information about doing a payment plan, it was how it was handled so very, poorly. I really expected an apology . I refused to give them a credit card or 3 posted dated checks, just the $200 today they will get the other two payments scheduled but why on earth would I show them any respect or trust with my accounts after how they treated me. I'm in disbelief of their conduct. Last, but not least! Had the front desk answered the phone so the doctor didn't, this never would have happened and the entire outcome would be much different.

My wife has very high levels of anxiety around dentists, so when our previous dentist of 10 years retired, it was a difficult time for her. I went first, and explained it to the staff and arranged for a simple 1 hour first visit. When she got there, they insisted I had told them she wanted a 2 hour visit using nitrous oxide. My wife called me, and I needed to clear it up on the phone because they wouldn't listen to her in the office. When I went in for a simple 1 hour cleaning, they insisted they wanted to do a whitening process that would take 2 hours. When I refused that service, they sent me a letter refusing any further service. All I heard was very nice words, but in this case, actions speak louder.

I'll preface this by saying that my anxiety around dental procedures seems to be getting worse, not better, but thanks to Dr. Jarrett and his staff, I continue to get treatment. I was really anxious about my recent crown appointment and multiple things kept getting in the way, causing met to reschedule, which only added to the anxiety. Thankfully, Dr. Jarrett's office offers nitrous (for a small-ish fee). What I sincerely appreciate about his staff is that they don't judge when they know you need the nitrous to get through your appointment. I've never felt pressured NOT to get it. In fact, one of the staff members noticed that I didn't have it on there for my 2 week follow up, asked me about it, and promptly added it on. Anywho, the day comes, and I'm laying back in the chair, waiting, for the "party" to get started. Dr. Jarrett comes in, we catch up, he explains what's going to happen today and why he's placing the crown. Anxiety is, of course, building, I'm starting to sweat, and I just really don't want to be there, but this cracked tooth ain't gonna heal itself. Randomly, I'm just trying to think of anything that will make this better and I overhear the office music that's playing. I asked if any other patients were in the office at the time (I always book a late appointment), they say yes, one other, and I wonder out loud if we can turn the music up. Dr. Jarrett was like, "absolutely. We can turn it up on this side of the office." I don't know where this staff member came from, but almost immediately a voice asks if there's anything specific I want to listen to. At first, I was like, "No, I'm good." And then immediately followed up with, "Wait! Is Prince an option?" Ya'll when I tell you the relief that washed over me when they were all like, "We got you!" I can't even articulate. "1999" starts playing, the energy of the staff increases even though they're already SUPER friendly and I relax just a bit more. That is, until it's time for the needle... I had to ask for a break 3 or 4 times during the procedure, and each time Dr. Jarrett was immediately responsive, patient, and reassuring. He let me know where we were at each point in the procedure and let me know that I was doing great. I really have no justification for my anxiety as I've never had a truly bad experience, but my fear of dental pain is top notch. Dr. Jarrett and his team are so thoughtful, kind, patient, and accommodating that I know my family and I will be patients for years to come.

Nila, who did my cleaning, was funny and kind and made me feel very comfortable. Finally, let's not forget Mia at the front desk. Even help me with directions to the office. They can be a little tricky! This is one choice I've made since moving to Edmond's that I am super, super happy about. Now granted for pretty much everyone, going to the dentist is really a chore, and not something we typically enjoy, but they definitely tried their hardest. First with the office staff with their great directions as well as getting me in about a week before my original appointment. I had different people who did my x-rays versus who did the cleaning all of which did an excellent job and were all very friendly. Dr. Gentling was very kind and I was happy with my dental exam. Most of the staff have been there for a very long time many around 20 years. That says a lot about the dental office. I'm thrilled I found them. I just lucked out that I had gotten a coupon and therefore decided to give them a shot. I did call back a few days after the fact to inquire about what the cost would've been had I not had the coupon seeing as I do not have insurance and have to pay out-of-pocket. The cost was about $90 more than most of the other dental clinics. I have been to recently. I definitely like GentlingSmiles 1,000 times more than any of the other dental offices, but I'll have to decide if it's worth the $90 difference to return in six months. I assume most people have dental insurance and therefore wouldn't have this issue. But it was definitely a great experience! everything from the waiting room to the wonderful people who work here.

The best dental office ever!…read more I initially took my mom here right after she moved to the area because she was experiencing pain from an acute issue. Mandy was able to get my mom in quickly and I am so grateful she did. My mom, who is a senior, and who has had really bad. dental experiences her whole life, and has always been afraid of going to the dentist, was treated with love, respect, and warmth. I think my mom almost cried when she left because she could not believe how kind the entire team was to her. We went back for several follow up visits and the team only became more wonderful and caring. She literally looked forward to every single time she got to go because of their character and quality of care. After seeing this experience over the last few months, I switched to their office as a new patient as well. I had an incredibly wonderful visit, with everyone from Mandy at the front desk, to the hygienist to Dr. Tremblay. They truly care about their patients, provide all the information you need, and are truly one of a kind practice. I genuinely cannot recommend a dental office more highly. For anyone that just appreciates a good dental care team, to those who have been afraid of the dentist for years, this is the best place around!
