I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Anderson and his staff. I didn't have a rude encounter with the front desk staff, and they were more than willing to be patient with me as I fumbled my way through the paperwork. I was taken in by Nate, the medical assistant for Dr. Anderson. He was great! Going through questions is always nerve wrecking, but Nate made it easy. He patiently explained some of his questions when I didn't quite understand, and he explained what the hand motion tests were looking at. I really appreciated it! Best of luck for your future endeavors! Dr. Anderson is super nice! He introduced himself as soon as he got in, and again, just like Nate, made sure I understood the questions and the point of the hand motions. He was in-depth with his replies, and didn't brush off any of my questions. He even asked for my opinion after he gave me his assessment! I thank Jeffrey Anderson every day for giving me ability to enjoy my life again with my new knees. I was in so much arthritis pain in my both knees that affected my ability to sleep at night, walk, and work. He did total knee replacement surgery on my both knees at the same time. I followed everything he advised to me, including 3 days in/hospital stay, almost 2 weeks in Rehabilitation Center - Mission SNF on N. Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, where I got outstanding PT treatment from Pria, Teresa, Vlada, and excellent nurses including Mertal, Regi, and many others. I appreciate it so much. 4 months after surgery I am like a new person with no pain, walking every day for about an hour, siting, standing with no pain or any limitations. Pleasant enough but utterly pointless. I had an initial appointment, X-rays, a referral for a MRI, then a follow up appointment. Turns out that, although I'm still in pain, surgery isn't recommended. Would've been nice to get suggestions for follow-up care, possible even a referral for physiotherapy. However, since i wasn't going under the knife, none of this was provided. The doctor was with me for less than three minutes before he left. Ended up taking all my unanswered questions to my primary physician who was, thankfully, much more helpful. read more

Dr. Anderson operated on my knee last August. He performed surgery that my other "sports medicine" doctor would not. And he did a excellent job. While meeting with me regularly post op, he's listened thoughtfully to my concerns and issues and offered good feedback. Dr Jeffrey Anderson is an rxcellent Orthopedic Surgeon ! I've had three surgies with him. All were successful. The surgeries were a meniscus tear, and my right and left shoulders for a rotator cuff tear. His knowledge, care, expertise, mannerisms, and listening skills are all awesome. This is a great office. From the first phone call I have had nothing but amazing interactions with Dr. Anderson and his staff. I am currently 10 days post op and I am already seeing an improvement in my mobility. Dr Anderson has a calming, compassionate demeanor and explained things in a simple way that made me feel at ease every step of the way. His PA, Stephanie, was super patient with me, taking the time to answer my questions without ever making me feel rushed. Dr Anderson has treated me and my husband. His staff was courteous and caring. Dr Anderson is very caring and warm. Neither one of us needed surgery, but I would trust him completely. Also was aghast at the comments made about O'Connor and staff. My family has been going there for many years. When the new management came on I was concerned about quality of care so insisted my husband go to another hospital 8 miles away. I have no complaints about it but when my husband wanted to return to OConnor in March 2016 on 2 occasions, the care was excellent, maybe even better than in 2013. read more

Dr. Anderson performed knee surgery on me several years ago. I remember him being competent but aloof. During the surgery, I was asked by Dr. Anderson if I wanted to be awake during the surgery or put under. I chose to be awake. However, they put me under anyway which makes me wonder why he even bothered to ask me. After I came to and complained about it, the surgical staff just laughed at me. After that experience I felt violated for a long time. An additional note: O'Connor hospital nurses are inhuman and frightening. They don't care about human beings. They only care about policies and being sued. In addition, since this was my first major surgery, I was nervous and talkative. The nurses didn't like that I was talkative and instead of trying to reassure and soothe me, took it upon themselves to ridicule me and treated me poorly. Since then, I have stopped going to any doctor for any reason because I no longer trust medical staff anywhere to see me as a human being instead of a slab of meat. If I ever somehow ended up at O'Connor Hospital for any reason, I would drag myself out of there as soon as I was bodily able to move. It was one of the most terrifying and dehumanizing experiences I have ever had in my life. I hope that I never have to repeat it. read more

Received a consult from his associate doctor--Knowledgeable and friendly. His office staff however, is rude and did not follow up as promised within 2 days to provide a quote for surgery. I followed up a couple times and received unprofessional responses each time. 2 weeks and 2 days now, still no call/response from his staff for the surgery quote. read more

I came to see this doctor 7 month ago because my doctor referred to see him have corozone shot and I called to office and asked them do you accept the anthem blue cross cover CALIFORNIA and they told me yes so I went to see the doctor Jeffery Anderson. I told him I have problem with arthritis my knee and I need corozone shot and he gave me shot on my knee, after 5 days still nothing changed still hurts a lot. Month later steff called me your insurance not accepted here because not in network anthem blue cross so she told me I have to cash $390.00 They should know before treatment done!! Staffs are must lazy and unprofessionally work there. The lady called me on the phone saying they made mistake and she give me discount $180.00 so I sent the check to them and get over with it. 5 days later she call me back I have to pay full amount of $390 because they sent me to collection agency already so I have to pay i don't understand how they stay on business dr office work like that!!!! read more

I agree with Hassan A. The office manager has no people skills at all. They are the not so smart people in this planet. They fill out EDD forms incorrectly. The last day of your disability is the first day of your return to work day. Not so bright. To the patients of Dr. Anderson and other doctors here, BEWARE! Your EDD form are being filled out incorrectly by the admins here. You need to check your forms as the EDD might short paid you because of the wrong reporting of the people in this facility. They even charge $25 for filling out your EDD disability forms incorrectly. I reported this facility to Department of Consumer Affairs for reporting wrong information to the EDD. I just had my first visit with Dr Anderson, and he was very friendly and not aloof at all. On the contrary, he laughed and joked with me, during my visit. He will be performing a carpal tunnel release on my left hand in a month or so. I have had the same operation to my right hand, performed by a Kaiser doctor. And although I really like the treatment I received at Kaiser, I have no doubt, that Dr Anderson will do a great job. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I feel like I am in good hands. read more

I googled Dr. Anderson to quickly get his phone number and saw a , what I consider questionable, review giving the Dr. only two stars and that prompted me to write the following review. There were also some comments on O'Conner Hospital so I gave my opinion on that also. I have been going to Dr. Anderson for a good number of years. For all other issues I go to Stanford but for bone and soft tissue issues I prefer Dr. Anderson. He is warm, caring and friendly in his manner. PLUS he has a sense of humor. Being a contractor and rancher I sustain more than the average number of injuries. I have also recommended him to friends and they are more than satisfied with his work and always commenty on his pleasant persona. He also cares enough to recommend how to approach the insurance aspect of medical issues to reduce my out of pocket. As to one of the hospitals he works out of, O'Conner Hospital, they saved my life. I went to Good Sam and was misdaignosed. I was hours away from going septic when a friend took me to O'Conner and they performed immediate surgery on my blocked intestine. The nurses were great BTW. I have been treated at the office since May 2015. Dr. Anderson performed a right-knee-replacement last year with a successful outcome. Now I can walk and run. I greatly appreciate all the good work that Dr. Anderson has done to help me get better. I returned to inquire about treating the bunion on my left foot. I previously had surgery on the bunion on my right foot with a different doctor, and now the bunion came back in less than 1.5 years. Dr. Anderson checked the X-ray and he explained why the treatment I got before was not working. He laid out the plan of what he was going to do with my left foot and what I should expect after surgery. The timeline to heal was given. He told me why I needed aggressive treatment to prevent the bunion from coming back. I saw 3 more doctors for opinions and did the research. And Dr. Anderson was right. He is an outstanding listener and has a great sense of humor. Some doctors don't listen to patients or explain or give patients choices, but Dr. Anderson does all these things - he listens, explains and gives choices. I never felt that I was being rushed out of the office; he always gives you time to tell him your concerns. I know many patients out there will need a doctor like Dr. Anderson to ease their pain. He is kind and experienced. I have been seen by many Orthopedic and Podiatric doctors and Dr. Anderson is THE BEST. I am now in the process of healing my left foot. It looks good even though it takes a long time to heal, as is expected. I also want to mention that Dr. Anderson's staff never over-book like many other offices. He is always busy, but appointments are properly schedule and the wait-time is never more than 15 minutes. Occasionally, wait-time is longer if there is a case that needs immediate attention. Of course, it may take 1-2 weeks to get the appointment scheduled, but it is well worth it to receive such excellent care. Dr. Anderson is one of the best doctors I've ever been to. He did a knee replacement on me in 2014, and I'm having my other knee done next week. I wouldn't think of having anyone else perform this surgery on me. He's the best! And the staff at O'Connor Hospital are wonderful as well. I do not understand the negative reviews! Dr Anderson has treated numerous issues I've had over the last dozen or so years, including a broken arm, broken leg, a screwed up spine from top to bottom, & most recently, did surgery for a torn meniscus in my knee. I am not an easy, "textbook" patient by any means, & yet he is always patient, kind, & a great listener. He has a sense of humor as well, which is necessary, because there's usually some kind of crazy story to go with my injury! His front office staff is top notch as well, & they have had to do a ton of paperwork for me. Everything from scheduling probably at least 15 MRI's through the years, to disability paperwork, & never had an issue. For what it's worth, he's also probably the most on time Dr there ever was! Yes, occasionally appointments have had to be rescheduled because someone needed emergency surgery, but that's to be expected with an Orthopedist. It's nice to know that if that's me in need some time, he will be there. And as for O'Connor, I've had many surgeries there, & have no real complaints. The ER, however, is a different story, & the food is about as bad as can be, but surgery staff, top notch!! read more
