When I arrived in person to pick up the patient, the front desk response was dismissive. I was told "it wasn't me," and when I asked for an update, I was simply told not to worry because "chaplaincy" was involved, along with being informed that the call center was not available. None of this addressed the basic need for clear communication. As the authorized pickup contact--whose information and ID were already provided ahead of time--I expected a straightforward and coordinated discharge process. Instead, there was a lack of accountability and no clear guidance. This level of customer service needs significant improvement, especially when dealing with patients and their caregivers during an already stressful time.

To date, I have not seen Dr Ghersi who performed my rhinoplasty once at any follow-up visit -- only assistants. The day before this appointment, the office called to confirm my appointment. During that confirmation call, I specifically asked if I would see Dr. Ghersi and was told I would receive a call back to confirm. That call never happened. I drove one hour to the office. Once I arrived, I was told that Dr Ghersi was running over an hour behind, with no guarantee that I would see him. Had this been communicated in advance, I would not have made the hour drive and just rescheduled the appt because I have been wanting him to see my nose this entire time and confirm everything is okay. At six weeks post-op, this is no longer a routine early follow-up. This is a critical point in healing where the surgeon's direct evaluation matters, particularly for breathing, swelling, and structural assessment. It was disappointing and unsettling to still not have the surgeon personally examine me at this stage. Unfortunately, this was part of a broader pattern. At my pre-operative appointment, the office was also running significantly behind. On the day of surgery, my procedure started hours late, and I nearly cancelled after waiting for an extended period without clear communication. What made this experience especially frustrating is that I have not received direct reassurance, guidance, or evaluation from the surgeon, leaving me uncertain about whether my healing, swelling, and breathing are progressing normally. I feel as though I've had to rely on outside resources to understand my recovery, rather than being guided by the surgeon who performed the procedure. As a result, I do not feel properly cared for during this recovery process. I genuinely believe if I was documenting on social media, Dr Ghersi would've demonstrated "care" to my experience. Again, I have had 3 postop appointments, and Dr Ghersi has not been at any of them. If quality post op care, respect for your time matter to you, I do not recommend Dr Ghersi whatsoever. In fact, I highly recommend Josh Lampert, who is the exact opposite. Always on time, doesn't rush you, answers your questions, actually sees you after he does your surgery. I understand that delays can happen in surgical practices. However, the consistent lack of communication, follow-through, and surgeon involvement throughout my care has been disappointing and has significantly affected my experience. I don't know if everything is OK with my nose or not. I don't know what I'm cleared to do, I have questions that are left unanswered that I have been waiting six weeks to ask, and I honestly feel taken advantage of and uncared for by Dr. Ghersi.

They give you your chart to sign paper work, after you fill that out you go to the back and get test done for drug and pregnancy. The girls in the we're so sweet and kind very helpful. I felt bullied she kept saying anesthesiologist isn't going to do your surgery with 11.6, that was confusing because I thought the doctor made the decisions. So I told her my doctor said that all of it was good and that I did not need that it was my choice my decision if I wanted to have it or not, she keep pushing. I told her we're going to wait till the blood work comes back my surgeon specifically said I didn't need it. They did another CDC to make sure that I absolutely don't need it the numbers were above 12.6. That day I got a text that my surgery is scheduled @ 445p. So I went to my recovery house, next day there were 2 girls that had surgery before me. One girl had surgery at 11a she went in and didn't get seen until 2p, the other went in and didn't have surgery til after 4p when I was supposed to be getting prepped. I got a text just before I was going to leave for my surgery that I'm scheduled at 1pm tomorrow for post-op. I called knowing that the doctor was running late to make sure that my surgery was still on, when I spoke to the lady she told me my surgery was canceled and that I am now scheduled for tomorrow at 1p, I said I am very upset as I have waited all day to eat now its 3p and I have to wait another day till surgery, pushing back my recovery time massages that I already had scheduled. I said to her you're confirming that my appointment today is canceled and now I am scheduled tomorrow correct she said yes and apologize for all the inconvenience. I get a call from the office at 545p asking where am I for my surgery, as you can imagine I was very upset because I didn't need to eat at 3p I could have waited and had the surgery now I have to wait for the next day to have surgery. When they reviewed what happened I spoke with an AI not an actual person. The next day I went in at 9a because I had not received a time for my surgery but I was told by an actual staff member, I made sure to ask are you a real person am I coming in for surgery tomorrow and she said yes. I get there I get signed in and then one of the girls takes me to a room and she says I'm going to be real frank with you, when I spoke with you yesterday I had a lot of things going on and confused you with another patient your surgery is actually on Thursday. At this point I'm livid because now I'm losing another day for recovery and massages and everything else I had paid for, mind you I'm supposed to be flying home on Saturday not enough time to feel safe or recovered after a surgery. I said this will be the last time I get pushed back. Thursday comes around I get a time for surgery at 430am, I get there we do another urine test, Dr Simmons comes in he states what surgery I'm getting starts to mark me up, then I sat there till 9a when Dr Simmons walks in and says he cannot do my surgery coordinator is going to come in to talk to me. At this point I am highly upset and confused and I'm not going to wait another day to have surgery. The lovely lady that did the urine test and blood draw came in she could see how upset I was as I had been there since early this morning and she asked me if another doctor was available would I be willing to see them I said of course I really need to have surgery today or I need to get my money back. She deserves a separate review for her as she deserved a 5 I had the best experience with Dr Sophie Lessard I'm glad she was kind enough and did my surgery, I was added on to her last minute, already marked up, she entered the room with confidence a beautiful smile very easy to talk to as if I picked her from the beginning.
