Dr. Wong started orthodontic treatment (braces) for both of my children just four months before his retirement, without disclosing his retirement plans at the start of treatment. Had we known, we could have made a more informed decision about whether to begin with him or find a provider who could see the treatment through. Communication throughout the process was a significant issue. Information was shared only when we specifically asked, rather than proactively -- even during active treatment. When it came time to transition to another orthodontist, there was minimal support: no detailed handoff notes, no clear explanation of treatment options going forward, and little guidance for continuing care. Taking on a multi-year treatment commitment like braces so close to retirement, without disclosing that timeline or planning for a proper transition, felt like a serious lack of integrity toward patients who were trusting him with ongoing care. i have never been a fan of anything associated with dental work, its always been so expensive and painful until Dr. Wong... I was relieved after my first visit with Dr. Wong! When I first walked into the office, I was greeted very friendly by the staff, they made me feel welcome and at ease, they also did everything to assist me with understanding the paperwork as well as dealing with my insurance information. When I was on the hunt for an orthodontist in my Metlife dental plan, I had interviewed with about 5 offices before I decided to go with Doc Wong. He was the only one that was able to point out to me the alignment of my teeth with my face was a bit off. He is a meticulous orthodontist that carefully reviewed my jaw and teeth structure to determine how to get my teeth ready for jaw surgery (I used to have an underbite). I had been with him for about 4 years and I wouldn't have it any other way. Now my teeth are perfect and I love the work that he did. He's even pointed out an occasional problem I had in my mouth that ended up being a bad root in my secondary molar tooth. I wouldve never known it was an issue if it wasn't for him. Although I see many kids come in and out from his office and I'm one of the few adults, I didn't care. There's plenty of gossip magazines for me to catch up on and the wait is rarely long enough for me to finish reading the latest stories on young Hollywood :p His office is right next to 680 and a tight turn around the bend. After several consultations with other orthodontists, we felt Dr. Wong's treatment plan and projected costs were the best choice for us. Dr. Wong and his staff are so friendly and helpful. I love how he explains everything clearly and is so warm and kind. We really appreciate how Dr. Wong schedules longer appointments during the school day, reserving those after-school hours for the shorter appointments when adjustments are needed, so that he can allow room for more patients to see him after school. The x-rays and impressions were taken on-sight, and Christina's expert mixing of the putty made all the difference (no gagging!) Awesome experience with Dr. Wong and staff who fitted my daughter with braces and have been taking care of her for the past few years. Her teeth are perfect now and look beautiful after the braces were removed recently! He is thorough, meticulous, highly experienced and patient. Despite expiry of the estimated time period of her braces, he continued to take care of them without any extra charges for us. Great human being, and a perfect gentleman! His staff is efficient, courteous, and super-communicative and helped us throughout the braces period. They were flexible to my daughter's calendar and that was quite important given that she is in high school and has so many things going on for her. If you're looking for a local orthodontist, stop your search and come to Dr. Wong. While the bread and butter of his practice is clearly kids and teens, he did an excellent job with my adult teeth using Invisalign. Not to mention, he's a great guy, super friendly and extremely easy to talk to. He's also very meticulous and thorough in his work. Not being from the area or having friends on which to rely for a recommendation, I took a shot in the dark with Dr. Wong and glad I did. I want to make it clear that the two stars is mostly based on the outdated facility not Dr Wong. this is not a negative review, just to be objective Dr. Wong is very nice and the girls at the front desk are super sweet!! I think this is a good place for general dental work given Dr Wong has many years of experience. that being said, the equipment seems old and needs updates! and this is the only orthodontist offfice I visited that don't have x-ray on site and needs to send you to a outside lab to take Xrays, and it costs about $195, which is not included in the treatment. This is a big drawback, inconvenient and costs more. read more

I have been going to Dr. Jeffrey Wong's orthodontist office for almost 3 years, and it has been a wonderful experience for me! I always look forward to going to get my braces check and tightened because Jeffrey and his staff make it seem like a breeze. I do not mean literally in the fact he does not do anything, but while I am being serviced, Jeffrey is a wonderful guy and is very good with all people from all walks of life. We were referred to Dr. Wong by a friend whose son had been seen Dr. Wong two years ago and my son has been seen with Dr. Wong since. After each operation/adjustment he seldomly feels any uncomorable or pain even for a short period of time. We can feel that Dr. Wong really puts patients at first and knows how to. Great experience overall. Our regular dentist recommended my 8-yr old to get checked by Dr.Wong for braces. During the first visit Dr.Wong showed us why his professionalism and overall approach makes him such a highly regarded orthodontist. He looked over my daughter and said it is too early for braces and to come back in 6-9mths. That was four yrs ago. Every year we go for a check up and he tells us if it is the right time or not. He did not charge for any of the consults and will do so when we actually get braces, which will be in a week. He does not push for the procedure, explains the situation very clearly, gives us the information and recommends what needs to be done and when. Highly professional, great with kids, and very popular in the area. Ignore the dated offices, as he has good equipment and an awesome staff who are always eager to help. My sons treatment has been completed now for a couple years, better late than never. Brought him in to see Dr. Wong for an orthodontia evaluation. He was terrified as previous orthodontists had told him (while with his dad) that several teeth would have to be removed. Dr Wong put my son at ease almost immediately with his fantastic bedside manner and sense of humor. Throughout the whole process my son became more and more at ease and even looked forward to seeing Dr. Wong at his appointments. I signed up with Dr. Wong two and a half years ago and I just got my braces off today. Every time I came into his clinic for tightening, the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Wong himself always asked me about how I am etc. He would always listen to my concerns about my braces and even my personal inquiries. He tried his best and I can tell he has a lot of experience with many different cases. I went to two orothodontists before for consultations and they both said I would have to extract my four molars. However, Dr. Wong was able to do a great job for me without the extractions. I am more than satisfied with his service. The price is very reasonable too. Whenever I needed to schedule an appointment, receptionists Desiree and Athena were very helpful and understanding. They helped me fit appointments into my busy schedule and even give a reminder card of the appointment date and time. They also call in the day before to remind me. The lobby has a very pleasant set up. There is a seasonal cork board that's always festively decorated. Recently they have set up a snacks corner which they call "Cafe Wong". How cute! It has tasty cookies that are freshly baked and tea, coffee, lemonade etc. Perfect for family members waiting there or even just waiting for your turn. Tons of magazines to read too. Wide variety and new editions. My older sister also had braces with Dr. Wong. She also had a great experience. read more

I am a student in training to pursue a carreer in the medical field, so I ask Dr. Wong if I can shadow his practice as I was recommended to him by his own patient. When I got there the friendliness of his staff was outstanding, the way they greet you, compliment you, and overall great communication they have makes them a five star office. As I sat throughout a patient getting there first braces, I was expecting a long process of work and thats it, but I was wrong his ways of communication to his patients was a way to make them comfortable in those rigorus dental chairs. HE FINSIHED SO FAST IT WAS AMAZING AND HOW PERCISE HIS WORK WAS. The dental assistant is very profeesional and highly trained she assists the patients so well and fast that it makes your trip an ease. The office manager is very friendly and super great at her job. Dr.Wong shows through his work that 20 years makes him an expert at what he does. After seeing the patients come in and out at a breeze, and so nice and efficent makes this office one of the top orthodontics I have ever seen. At the end of the day I BECAME HIS PATIENT!
